Our behavior and attributes usually stems from our environment and upbringing but every so often the black sheep of the family has to learn the hard way or either they break away from their family in order to change their generational family curses if those individuals were raised in a toxic environment. @@lunafringe10 There's a lotta shit related to our nature that we now ignore, because of what we call living as a society. The strongest power is within you and the knowledge you gain. I've watched a shitload of different ancient music types, and the vast majority, if not all of them, get me in some 'natural'/ancient way. From 'my' very own Alentejo singing, slave songs, Serbian style chants, Templar chants, African tribes stuff and their relation to rythm, I can't remember one which I didn't feel connected to somehow.

I feel pride in people passing on their culture to their children and those children continuing the process. I believe this is so deeply moving to so many people, because almost all of us here, have been here many times before. This triggers a deep, soul-recognition that has a frequency we recognize. It’s the recognition of the soul longing for tribe, and the uniquely human need for small, tight knit, community. We are not made to be debt slaves, working ourselves into the ground, barely raising our own children, nuclear families that don’t stay together and extended family all but a distant memory. This is not the lifestyle that speaks to us on a soul level. Our souls are screaming for creative expression, freedom, peace, clarity, love, compassion, and gratitude. Our souls remember the true golden age of humanity, and the haka (along with other tribal traditions) surfaces our longing for all we had and reminds our soul of home, and the deeply sacred family bond that awaited us there.

@@deniseredman195 yes but Sister Fata served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Hawaii so she left her home of New Zealand served her mission in Hawaii for 18 months then came home. So while the Haka is Maori there’s a HUGE number of Maori in the states the most concentrated states are Utah & Hawaii. Why you ask? Because the Polynesians (all Pacific Islander peoples) are the second largest group who are members of the the Mormon church. If you ever went to Hawaii you’d think you were in the pacific islands you see Tongans, Samoans, Fijian, Tahitians, etc. Go to a BYU campus whether in Utah, Idaho, or the Hawaii location and you’ll feel like you’re in the pacific islands.

The closest we czechs com to this is yelling "Have at them", which, while being equally powerful and if heard in battle is usually the last thing one hears if one is on the opposing side, lacks the versatility when it comes to showing respect, love, reverence or use as a welcome.
