Are these comfortable over say 90 minutes? They seem expensive so some detailed analysis of why would be helpful. Buying these at this price would be made easier if there was a try before you buy or a return period for refund if not happy with the product. That over a small discount would be more useful in my opinion.
Hi! Thank you for the comments i notice several of them. You have 14 days for a refund. And yes, they will be comfortable for more than 90 minutes. Here is a link with info about refunds. westoneaudio.com/product-return-repair-form/
I grew up listening to Genesis and Pink Floyd. - For a long time I worked the night shift, and often in the summer, it was very difficult to sleep well during the day while the kids were playing outside or the neighbors were mowing their lawns one after the other. So in the evening before leaving for work, I would lie down in the basement with my headphones on and put this music on. After a while, I could feel my heartbeat synchronizing with this soothing music, so relaxing.
One of finest and most beautiful of Genesis. One of my top 10 songs from them. Those 12 strings are gorgeous, and the outro from Tony is awesome, etherial and celestial. Magical music. With this song I always know why Genesis is my favorite band ever. First album on which Phil sings as the lead singer. You're so lucky, so many jewels to discover, on this album and others.
Trick of the Tail is a great album. Dance on a Volcano and Los Endos was how they ended the concerts for some time…although I remember one tour when they started with Dance on a volcano which confused the hell out of everyone. Mad Man Moon and Ripples are going to blow your mind!
Just to help you with who's who on this album: Phil Collins - drums, percussion, lead and backing vocals Steve Hackett - electric guitar, 12-string guitars Mike Rutherford - bass guitar, bass pedals, 12-string guitar, backing vocals Tony Banks - pianos, synthesizers, Hammond organ, Mellotron, 12-string guitar, backing vocals
To be honest I think you’re going to love the whole album, A trick of the tail, is not just my favourite Genesis album, but my favourite album of all time. Ripples is in a similar vein on the album. Warms my heart to see you experiencing and enjoying Genesis. Looking forward to more.
This song sets up the next song so well. As it ends, there is an amazing transition into Squonk. I cannot listen to Entangled without Squonk. They are meant to be heard together.
I totally agree, and the same goes for "The Cinema Show and Aisle Of Plenty" by Genesis or "Brain Damage and Eclipse" by Pink Floyd. You can't have one without the other. It was the era of albums and not just singles.
Mr Ruiz, if you want to hear Steve Hackett’s masterpiece on classical guitar, listen to A Midsummer Night’s Dreams with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. 🤩🤘🏻
The 1st album featuring Phil and Steve was Nursery Crime. The singer was Peter Gabriel, and Phil played the drums, but he did sign some chorus in some songs, at least he did when they played live. Also, there’s a song in Selling England by the pound that’s sang by him. Peter left after The lamb lies down in Broadway, the previous album to A trick of the tail. So from then on, Phil was the main singer and drummer (in studio albums). For lives, he had another drummer, Bill Bruford at ‘76s and then Chester Thompson ‘77 (maybe in later ‘76 too idk with too much precision), That for the prog era, in the 80s idk who the drummer was at lives. Phil did play drums too, in the instrumental sections of songs, so if you look any live after Pete’s gone, you’ll actually see 2 drum kits on stage. Sadly Steve left the band after the Wind and Wuthering, so from then on they started to migrate to the pop songs that are played on the radio from time to time.
"With your consent we can experiment further still." Nice thing to say when the frontman left, and band did not know how they will be received. At least thats how I like to think of it 😂. Selling England and this are perhaps the best for me. Genesis did not drop the bar until Steve Hacket left.
Those are my two favorite albums. He really should listen to the entire Trick of the Tail album because of how it reuses different melodies and then brings them all together in Los Endos.
Estoy de acuerdo con muchos aquí. El disco entero de Trick of the Tail te gustará.

First album with Phil Collins as singer was Wind and Wuthering (blood on the rooftops is on that album). A trick of the tail and Wind & wuthering are both fantastic
A Trick Of The Tail came out before Wind & Wuthering, with Phil Collins as the only lead singer on both. Also, Phil sang lead on a few songs from the earlier albums while Peter was still in the band. 😎👍

The first Genesis album I bought as a young teen. Changed my life.

Ditto!
I love how that synth at the end is so evocative of a human voice, it picks up your ideomotor centers, then goes inhumanly high, pulling you with it

Mike Rutherford - bass guitar, bass pedals, 12-string guitar, backing vocals
Tony Banks - pianos, synthesizers, Hammond organ, Mellotron, 12-string guitar, backing vocals
You did it again another Genesis master piece .... hope you feel better .... and keep up the great work ....
This song done live, with a glitterball is just magical. Especially the dream section

One of the most beautiful pieces of music ever.
Saw Genesis at Hammersmith Odeon in June 76. This track was one of many highlights. The ending is awesome.
So So lucky.
I personally love the closing section…reminds my équinoxe part III from JM Jarre

I believe Steve wrote the verse and lyrics, while Tony wrote the chorus and mellotron solo at the end.
Beautiful music with some humorous lyrics. Nice choice.

Il y a aussi l’album Bay of Kings

I have always thought the companion piece on A Trick of the Tail to "Entangled" is "Ripples." Check it out when you can!

Cinema Show.
this was to me the end of an era , loved this album

Ihavw a tip for you Tommy Johanson the guitarist of Sabaton is releasing a song every friday, amazing.
Hia band Majestica is amazing to😊😊
Magnificent. Please, react to Genesis - Dusk.
This starts with Mike and Tony playing 12 strings while Steve plays clean electric guitar arpegios.
Hi. Bro how are you ?. Please listen STAGNATION from TRESPASS album

Tremendo comentario. Varias cosas que guardo en tus sugerencias! Gracias!
If you're gonna do Entangled you should do Squonk at the same time.
Thanks for the suggestion!
And the album segues from here to probably the heaviest track on the album, Squonk 😂
Bella affermazione. Per me i Pink Floyd sono al primo posto tra le bands seguiti dai Genesis
Per me i Pink Floyd possono accordare gli strumenti ai Genesis.....
