Glad you found this game! We did a long running podcast called Oathwire which is still available on Apple. You should check it out if you like such things.
Thanks Justin! Our next game will be posted on the Paint All The Minis TH-cam channel so make sure you check it out in a week or so. After that, we will be posting more Oathmark to this channel as well.
Thanks Eric. If you have the models you may want to consider playing a learning game against yourself. The game works surprisingly well like that, although having a second player is obviously superior.
A fine show, sir. You have several nice features going for you...great intro, special effects, well paced game...and don't forget the War Corgi! Very enjoyable. Are you liking Oathmark? I find it a very clever and enjoyable game. Thanks for doing this.
Thanks Chris. Yes, I am loving this game. I started my miniature wargaming career with the old Warhammer Fantasy Battles system and have been itching for a good rank and flank game ever since the 8th Edition of that game. I have really enjoyed painting the models and the more I deal with them the more impressed I am with the Oathmark miniatures, but as you can see I use kits from other companies as well. The campaign system is quite clever and am looking forward to playing Adam in a rematch of our first campaign game later this week. Stay tuned for the next report!
I picked it up at the awesome game store Gigabites Cafe in Atlanta. The company that produces the range is located in the UK. You can check out their offerings here: shop.battlesystems.co.uk/
I'll have to pick up the rulebook for Oathmark, this actually looks really fun. Way simpler than Warhammer Fantasy (back when it existed, RIP) and still adheres to rank/flank. This was a great watch, thanks for giving us coverage of this game! On another note, is there any chance that you'll consider doing 40k reports again? I watched some of your reports back when 8th had dropped, and was curious if you intended to release any more. (Especially with that awesome IG army!) Either way, you've converted someone to Oathmark- time for me to go force my friends into another miniature game now!
Sorry Ian as I didn't address the 40k question. I don't like to close doors, especially when I am not forced to, so I leave open the possibility of doing 40k battle reports again sometime in the future. Though to be honest, I haven't missed the system since leaving it and haven't checked out the rules for 9th Edition (although I have heard good things about it).
@@warcorgi3623 Sorry, this took me a while to respond to! I have enjoyed 9th edition far more than 8th, so far. I hope to see another 40k game from you at some point in the future, but you’re keeping me more than sated with these Oathmark BatReps and all of those SW Legion BatReps! I bought the Oathmark Rulebook, and got a couple friends on board. We’re going to be buying our armies soon. I really hope to see this game system take off, it looks super fun. I can’t imagine a better game to fill that hole left by WHFB. I can’t wait for the next Oathmark BatRep, thanks again for doing coverage of this game!
What miniatures are you using for your human rangers? Armies look pretty awesome. Been sitting on the fence as to whether I want to jump into oathmark and I'm leaning more and more towards giving it a shot. Probably gonna go pick up the rulebook tonight.
Highly recommend the game Joe P. The Rangers are from Oathmark's human infantry line of models. You can check out my unboxing video on the Paint All The Minis channel here: th-cam.com/video/Pta1zIKkrT8/w-d-xo.html
@@warcorgi3623 Oh that's awesome! I didn't realize the human kit included hooded heads. I've been super impressed with northstar's frostgrave kits previously so I'm very excited to pick up some oathmark ones. They look super nice and the value in the amount of units you can get out of one box is incredible. I got the rulebook and stayed up super late reading through it and I'm completely sold on the game. Love the campaign progression and kingdom building mechanics a lot.
Frog It’s been (checks notes) sixteen days since we posted a Legion battle report. But seriously, I’m not done with Legion but am taking a little break from it.
War Corgi great to hear. I was worried we’d lose you. You do the best reps going. What’s causing the break? Need more new units or finding problems with the play?
@@frog475 I guess you could say the pressure started to get to me. I had more fun when I was chasing MOTF but since they backed away from Legion battle reports I have started to feel a bit more pressure to produce high quality content. No worries though as we just filmed a Legion batrep last night and I am pretty happy with the result.
To be honest sci-fi is my main interest which is one of the main reasons why I have yet gotten into fantasy. However, the rules for GW Fantasy are honestly atrocious, I much prefer Oathmarks play style. The use of actions and "leadership" test is more narrative and realistic to the play style, I might just have to buy a rule book to read up on it a bit. For the pivoting in response can any unit do it or is it restricted to single model units?????? Also this is the main site for it that I have found are there any other methods for purchase? Preferably utilizing a secure form of TLS. www.northstarfigures.com/list.php?man=257&page=1
Hello my friend! Glad you enjoyed the video. Oathmark is a great ruleset put out by a small company and a developer I love to support. As for your first question, only single model units can pivot in response to other movements on the battlefield. As for the second question, you can get hard copies of the rules at your friendly local game store or digital copies from iBooks if you are an Apple guy.
Great...a little busy right now but glad you are doing this. I will watch it as soon as I can. Thank you!
Kris Dray Thanks for the note. It will be right here waiting for you when you get some time to relax. I promise not to spoil the ending. :)
I enjoyed this, thanks! We have only started Oathmark a few weeks ago and I hear you about a steep learning curve!!!

Fantastic game, guys! Thanks for sharing. Your banter and comradery all game really made it a joy to watch. More! More! More!

Awesome battle report! I bought this book months ago and I can't wait to give it a try

@@warcorgi3623 I really should, I have about 2k of 2 sides sitting in my closet waiting for a chance to play. Thank you!
can't get enough oathmark
The nacho man Candy savage I know how you feel!
Good game and I really like those buildings
Thanks mate! They were nice and cheap from battlesystems.co.uk/product-category/terrain/fantasy/
Another great game. Love it
Thanks mate! We are learning an awful lot here.
Great stuff

think there is errata on dwarf cost not sure, dont have dwarves or things id conisder dwaves yet but sure ive past a post on it..
There sure is. Dwarf Spellcasters are grossly under costed in the book. The fix is to use the points cost for Human Spellcasters which makes sense.
Great bat rep as usual! Where did you get those cardstock buildings?

Are those human miniatures from fire forge games?
Indeed they are, specifically from their Deus Vult line of miniatures.
