Smoke grants full cover for models completely within 3" and partial cover for models partially within 3", making it a very powerful tool to protect your troops while you maneuver forward.

We used the Buggy rules from the Badlands expansion, along with the vehicle rules from the base rule book. The APC didn't hold up as well as I had hoped so we are going to come up with a home brew unit to use in future games.

lol! I have made some house rules for them so they are a little tougher than buggies moving forward. Vehicles are a nice add to the game.

They are a worthwhile investment to be sure. I really feel like we are playing the complete game now that we have them.

Thanks mate! The fences were made by Monster Fight Club under their Monster Scenery line. They have a number of great products that fit the BLKOUT theme.

We use a mix, but for this battle report I got the MDF buildings from my friend Max in Germany. Unfortunately it looks like he closed his webstore down. The vehicles come from Mantic Games as a terrain crate; they also appear to have stopped selling the product. All of this reminds me that I am old and have been gaming for a long time.

This was a 3x3 board, which is our preference. We occasionally play on a 2x2 board if we are pressed for time though.

Thanks for the comments! We always welcome rules discussion on the channel; we work hard to get things right and need to know when we get them wrong. EWAR is a little ambiguous, but the rule in Supplemental 8.1 reads "When an Enemy Model makes a Data Attack Action, one Model in your Group with a Data Spike may make a Skill Check. If the Skill Check results in more successes than the Data Attack Skill Check, the Data Attack is nullified." We believe the language of "results in more successes" replaces the way an opposed skill check is normally conducted to keep data attacks potent. Impact tweaked the way jammers work just a little. It now reads "Friendly Models in range cannot be Targetted by Data Knife Attacks or Data Attacks." It is a bit of a nerf but still very powerful.

There's some FAQ explanations that are only recorded on the discord unfortunately. My understanding is the ESS team hopes to drop an updated rules thing in 2025, looking forward to that. Love the game a lot and painting the models is a ton of fun. Looking forward to a duster bat rep!

They are an old Games Workshop product from about four years ago. I'm not sure if they still sell them.

If you know someone in USA, you could have it shipped to them and then have them ship it to you. Of course, the rules are free online. You could use stand-in models to play.

They had a special for free international shipping right after American Thanksgiving. Not sure why they wouldn't ship to Germany but I feel for you there.

I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it. I went back a took a look at you are definitely correct; they are thinner than the original release cards. They seem a little extra bendy but still should hold up better than other materials.

Even as a minor TH-cam celebrity is took a two weeks and a half for mine to arrive. I understand they were pretty swamped with orders and the Thanksgiving holiday slowed things up a bit. That said, it wasn't the longest I have ever waited for an order to be shipped and it arrived in great shape. We gamers are not know for our patience but I think a little grace is in order for this small but awesome company. Hope your shipment arrives soon mate!

Thank you kindly for the comment; we are always striving to play correctly and welcome people letting us know when we get something wrong. I caught the mistake with the Cyka ignoring smoke when I edited the video, but I didn't see any violations of the Medium special rule. We were misplaying it for the first four batreps before I read how it was supposed to be played on Discord. If we let one or two rerolls in reaction fire slip by this game, it was because of habit and not because we didn't know the rule.

We are using a variant attack roll listed in the main rulebook. It speeds things up while keeping the variance relatively high. Thanks for the question!

So you use something called "Pilot die"a big dice? In my book there are two variant methods...variable damage...roll to 2d6 hit they roll a d6 for each damage point 3 better delivers a point of damage or multiple attack...make an attack roll of 2d6 for each point of damage. I find no reference of "Pilot die" any where...so maybe i am confused?

Ha ha. It is saved on my iPhone in video form in case we come back to the game. We have a habit of moving on after we fully explore what a game has to offer. We really enjoyed Mythic Commander, but I will say the audience for it was quite small.

Absolutely, but I used my last TH-cam payment to fund my purchase of the new infantry forces (Task Force Able and UN 3rd Battalion). At roughly $5 a month from TH-cam, we should have Dusters on the channel in about two years...

Good question. My handler models have not yet arrived so I proxy my Black Powder Red Earth models for them. In BPRE, models have firing arcs. The colored lines show the way they are facing along with their left and right limits. Hopefully the actual handler models arrive soon and I get them painted up, but probably not in time for the next battle report.

I think he was feeling sorry for me having wiped the floor with my RFA operators the previous game. I doubt he will make that mistake again, although he had great success in our last game using the new Marksman Handler that just released with Impact.

Yep! Robby and I play twice a week and will usually film one of the games. Regular guests of the channel Chris and Jim come over every other weekend to play. Lastly, I learned from a great group of guys at Miniature Market here in St. Louis where I played at least a half dozen games.
