Hi Som...say brilliantly explained mate, quite a usefull trick i must say, u should keep putting more of such hacks man, further say if u can put in more of such do it urself ideas of other bikes would be highly appreciated thanx mate
Hello Maddy, Thank you buddy for your appreciation. Happy to know that you liked it. You know what, I have a challenge. I can only talk about things that I have done it myself. I just share my personal experience. If I get to use another bike for some time, I would know about it and can accordingly talk about it. That's the reason why I don't just go about reviewing everything thats out there. Hope I am able to put across my challenge of limited knowledge, about bikes and biking. Cheers!
Osm hack for jump start .. so nice to know this .. can u pls share link of jumper cable (I had one but my mechanic said the wire is too thick for motorcycles)
Following is the specific mode of the battery AAM-BA-A48ATZ14R ... Do note that it's a 12V 14Ah battery. Often people get confused between Ah and V. So ... just be careful. Happy riding.
@@WanderingSomAmaron (A48ATZ14R) is Right layout, while exide (12XL14L-A2) is Left layout. Should this make any difference for installation? Bcos RE is pushing for amaron, no idea why. My stock exide battery is FEX1-ETX14. Exide dealer is saying install same old type instead of latest exide explore model. Both the latest sizes of amaron & exide explore are a bit different. Hence I'm confused. Dealers are saying once billed can't replace.
A very good one. Can you please mention some specs of the Battery like the capacity or the exact model number or any link would be helpful. Can you suggest between Excide or Amaron?
Now that I have used both Exide and Amaron, I would like to vouch for the former. I have 'Letstrack' installed in my and it does consumes some insignificant of power, even when the bike is not in use. Lately, I realised that Amaron is not exactly able to support it, and it goes dry really fast if I don't ride the bike often. I never actually the problem when I had Exide. If you were to keep the above point aside, it's difficult to state the difference between the two batteries. Often people have recommended to go for the 14V instead of the stock 12V, however I like to keep things close to the stock. That's my two bit take on the batteries. Cheers!
@@WanderingSom I agree with you. The recommended one is to get 12V and I am also going for it, but the Exide one is 12V 14mh but the Amaron is 12V 12mh. the capacity difference might be the issue in your case. But it the extra 2mh extra capacity won't do any harm as long as the output (12V) is the recommended one. Thanks.

Hello Parag, The cost of the battery is about Rs. 3000 - 3200 and is of 12ah. I got the buffing done from RE Workshop in Okhla Phase II. Happy to know that you liked the content. Thank you.
That jump start technique Is neat trick.👌 2 questions.. does it work only on the interceptor, or all bikes ? The battery specs from RE are 12v 12ah. Is 12v 14ah better?
It would work on all those bike in which the terminal of the Self-Start motor is accessible. I am not too certain about the 14AH battery. I like to play it little safe and go with the standard RE Specs. BTW, is there a substantial difference between the 12 and 14? If you have any details, please do share.
Sir as usual nice jump start trick...What is the price of Amron...any reasons u preferred Amron over Exide or was it just being provided by RE was ur reason..Tnx
Thats a good idea. However pushing a 250kg bike is bit of a challenge for an average built guy like me. Hence, the jump start option seems to be a better option, atleast for me. Thanks for sharing.
@@WanderingSom I didn't had any other option than to push it myself as it stopped for some 5 times in between of main road. Don't know what is the issue. I tried almost everything. Does it matter what order you fit the terminals?
Not substantially. It just helps avoid the spark when the positive wire is connected with the current source on the battery.

It's not a hack. It is one of the ways to jumpstart the engine. I made the cable myself. You could however buy from the following link

Whats the price of battery bro.. amaron or exide which is better... im gonna change battery so asking..
Both are same in terms of quality & performance. The price is around 2800. Exchange might get you some additional discount.
Seems times up for mine also will. Replace before it succumbs to organ failure
Warna resuscitate karna padega

Depending on the condition of your existing battery, it could be anything between 1800 to 2200
