      @christianmerry1 weak guard that got straight up man handled with your own arm across your throat.... then you roll litterally into the opposite fight....ref clearly didnt break you up then move you back to the center....you got dominated bro.... sorry its a bad ref decision

      @@CailHamptonplease educate yourself on the sport. my guard was never passed when on bottom, despite him landing in side control for a split second after the takedown, I regained my guard fairly quickly. points aren’t awarded for landing in side control anyways. my opponent wasn’t being very technical, he just tried to use brute strength the whole match and had no sub attempts. no “top control” was showed what so ever. as well as points being awarded to me for the stand up after the sub attempt. the score was 2-2 with a sub attempt on my side as an advantage. call it how you want, your opinion is not valid, as much as you might want to convince me it is… i promise it isn’t.

      @christianmerry1 i understand how inflated the ego can be.... but.... anyone with eyes can see you got rag dolled....to the mat...side control or not....ya went for a ride.... you rode bottom the whole time and got your shoulder damn near dislocated.... so much ppl started shouting woah!!! Then you went off the mat into someone elses match when jon looked at the ref like we're out of bounds and let go....you grabbed a knee bar rolled the wrong way....then corrected and jon escaped.... you BOTH STOOD UP.... even if you're tied 2-2 the takedown should be the deciding factor.... you are fragile for talking like you dominated from your back

      Just food for thought. I don’t know a lot of Cornette listeners, but the realization that “professional tough guy” John Moxley is a white belt with zero competition wins makes me stop and think before I say “_____ can beat up ______.” I know a substiture math teacher and a male nurse who would both fold him like laundry. *shrug*

      @@KirsiKastinen eh, he's been training for five years but he got beat by two white belts. I was a senior blue belt by five years, and got my purple not long after. Looking at Jon's matches, I'd think this was his first year. First six months even... that's not shitting on him; I'm sure that, like Punk, Tom Hardy, and tons of other celebrity practitioners, those 5 years have been a couple classes here, a couple there... That said I don't think I've had one blue belt who wouldn't beat Punk, let alone Mox (that's me at one of my schools in my profile pic).
      I'd bet there's a decent section of Corny's fan base that could fold both guys. There's about 1 million people in the US that practice jiu-jitsu, and there's a lot of overlap between PW fans and people that actually want to know how to do submissions. There's probably a LOT of guys that don't even train that could smash Moxley, since he's basically just started training. Any guy that wrestled in high school, did some Judo for a couple years... the training doesn't really make a difference until you've dedicated real time and consistency to it, otherwise he's basically no better than a kid watching UFC and practicing the moves with friends.

    • @ryanjohnston4249
      @ryanjohnston4249 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you're familiar with amateur wrestling, it's sort of like that. Takedowns score points, and instead of pinfalls, you can outright win with a submission by joint-lock or choke. You also gain points by transitioning from weaker positions to stronger ones. That applies to either from bottom or top.
      One thing to note is that being on the bottom position isn't necessarily weaker in the sport of Brazilian Jiujitsu. You could 'pull guard' which is to say immediately pull your opponent into the guard position and still dominate. In that case, you'd be looking to chokes and joint-locks or to sweep the opponent onto the bottom (which scores points in a somewhat similar way to a takedown).

      Simple, he has the guts to sign up and train for a grappling tournament. Unfortunately while he was defeated, he can use this as a learning experience to improve himself. To truly be a badass, one must be humble and continue learning.

      Depends on the ruleset, but yeah I thought he had the two points vs the advantage. Apparently, so did he.
      Edit: I missed it the first time through, but after the sun attempt when they restart, the ref gives the opponent 2 for a sweep/reversal. So it was 2-2 and an advantage.
