I just started to "switch" from my copy writer business to the one of a virtual assistant and realized that one can implement copy writing, copy editing and social media management into the VA portfolio, which is pretty cool. Besides that I will be offering admin and organisational tasks (I have working in that area for a number of years as an Office Manager) etc. I am just wondering that, when it comes to starting a VA business, everyone is always only addressing women!?!?!? Quite a number of men can do that job extraordinarily well (like me, myself and I!) 😁😁 Anyhow: At the moment I might not have much time to work on that transition, since I have been offered to translate a book with 300 pages into German. (Sorry for my imperfect English, because I am - you guessed it - German myself).
Alex I was surprised you’re Canadian, could have sworn you were a Southern Californian. When you said “rad” (reminds me of 90s ) that was the tip off for me. I lived in Canada 🇨🇦 but from Santa Barbara. 😉
Hi Alex, Thanks for this. I'd also like to point that there is a remarkable overlap between copywriting and social media marketing. For writing those catchy captions, some writing skills are definitely required.

Fiverr is tough because there is so much competition. I personally think there are way better ways to find clients. Like networking and reaching out to brands personally.
Copywriting will still be in demand in the recession because businesses are still looking for more customers to come buy their products and/or services. So look into any freelancer job that is recession proof like copywriting.
To summarize the 5 most in-demand freelancing jobs are:
1) Copywriter
2) Social Media Manager
3) Website Designer
4) Copy Editor
5) Virtual Assistant
