wriothesley literally made me spend money on a game for the first time in my life. i used to be a proud f2per but not anymore LMAO. i'd say i'm ashamed of myself, but i'm not. i just love him THAT much, and not just for his looks but also for his personality and backstory and literally EVERYTHING about him - how human he is, how mature he is, even his playstyle. gahhhhhhhhh why did hoyo have to cook so hard with him.... i've never fallen so hard before.... simping aside, he's a very nuanced character and i really enjoy that about him. i also feel like he has less self-preservation than the average person, looking at his fallen voicelines and also seeing how he wasn't worried about dougier until he aimed his gun at the traveler
I feel the same about less self-preservation than the average person. Imo he isn't afraid to die and doesn't care if he will die or not when doing something he thinks is necessary when it comes to worse. You will see it more in his character story.
@@taiyonohikari1346 in my opinion i think he does care about his life and actually takes pretty good care of himself in his day-to-day life, but i think the reason why at times like these he has less self-preservation is because of his lingering guilt over what he did and the fact that it always seems like he still feels that he has to redeem himself but i think that you're right that if there came to be no other choice, he'd sacrifice himself for his people. obviously if there's any other potential method he'd try those first but if all else fails, then... i feel like he wouldn't back down from that course of action. but he's really someone that tries to take all things into consideration, whether it's about a situation, a person, or the future.

Wriothesley and Kiara are very likely direct parallels to Vautrin and Carole, now that I think about it. One is a sweetheart Melusine who (at one point, at least) dreamt of Melusines & humans living together in peace, the other is a stalwart, honorable realist that is given to cynicism but buoyed by hope... and went to extreme lengths for the sake of his loved ones, accepting his sentence gracefully. And they work with daddy Neuvillette, who cares for them in return :3 GOD I love Fontaine maaaaan
Not gonna lie, I can see why he earned a lot of people's respect. Also i red few of his story lines and piece the two together, i did have an inkling on how he was in prison. Also Neuvillette's report on Wriothesley. He's those people who stick to his path and he did everything to ensure no one will go through the pain he did. But he is still true to himself. Also, NEVER fxck with Wriothesley. From the way he is, he is threatening with death on the guy. By far among the batches of male characters by region, Fontaine has top notch story quest, never shying away dark story undertones. But male always has very good story quest. So glad he's our first five star cryo male. I will c6 that beautiful man eventually.
His backstory is explained more in his character story. This SQ and his character story complement each other. In his character story, you will see how he is before he killed them, how he is after he killed them, his trial, his life in prison (This one isn't really detailed), and how he become warden. It's really good and we can see his thoughts too. That's why I hope you will read it soon and probably make video reaction of it, it will be really interesting. About his scars though, he kind of brush it off in his voiceline and you know when he did that, it means he doesn't want to talk about it but reading his character story, you probably will have an idea how he got it. Though I hope he will clearly give us the reason why he got it one day since his scars is really terrifying, it's not just simple scars, scars on the neck, deep enough to make a scars but not enough to kill him. And usually scars on the neck isn't vertical, for him to have vertical scars from the neck until his chest, I imagine he probably can't move at that time for some reason.

I have so much fun watching other people not only shrimping for this man but also having a more understanding look into the character and not only the appereance! And i was also really pleasantly? surprised about the turn of the quest. So far fontaine is showing more and more the dark side of this game through archon quests and character quests and it feels different since everyone will play through them eventually unlike side or world quests where the disturbing side is lokced behind books, notes and other stuff with too much of text for the avarage player to read lol Thanks for the video!

very similar story that of rosaira and the fact she has a cryo vision too. Maybe the tsaritsa also has a similar story of betryal and she had to kill someone she loved to redeem herself.
Cryo likely represents following your own path, even if it means becoming cold to the world. A lot of cryo vision wielders fit this criteria like Rosaria and Eula who went through a lot of hardship growing up which led to the decisions they've made. Even the ones who haven't suffered as much like Ganyu and Ayaka still chose to be steadfast in following their own path that they're determined to see through
