In this video, Gus & Walter are in the desert. Gus explains to Walt that he is fired and to not come near the laundry or Jesse Pinkman. Walter challenges Gus and thinks he won't do anything. Gus then says that if necessary he will k*ll Walter's family. Hope you enjoy!

Giving Walter a second chance is a literally sealed death contract
Giving Walter a first chance is literally walking to your death. Hell, maybe being in the same room for 5 seconds is enough.
That's so damn true

Threatening his family is signing your death warrant.
@@jastintheceooffinanasapost6204 Walter was almost out of the game. If you remember in S3 Jesse and Walter were trying to get out of the game. Gus, Mike, and Saul all pulled them back in. For a while, even after Gus showed Walter the lab, Walter was still refusing to make more meth. I don’t understand why he couldn’t just teach them his recipe. I get they would’ve killed him, but either way they were planning on killing Walter since the whole thing with Tuco’s cousins. If he really wanted out of the game he should’ve just said fuck the 3 million. But Gus is obviously persuasive. They all did it to themselves because they couldn’t let good enough be good enough.

It’s the power of already knowing that your tickets been punched. Stupid movie threats like that don’t work unless the one getting threatened actually values their life.
While this is a Walter that already signed the contract with Mephistopheles and became Heisenberg. So much like Gus already knows where he’s going once he hands his ticket in at boarding.
@@Doctor_Odinno, if you would’ve watched this exact video, Walter already mentions why he talks back. Because if he gets killed, Jesse would refuse to cook for Gus. He knows this because he’s not dead yet. That’s why he’s not afraid of talking back, he knows Gus can’t kill him.

Bro was SHOOK
It's surprise on Gus' face but it's more like "is this MF really this dumb?" I think this is actually a moment of Gus revising his estimation of Walt DOWNWARDS and being a little annoyed that he had to actually spell out the unseemly part. He figured they both knew why Walt was still alive and having this conversation, and he was annoyed that he genuinely had to explain to this man that he had vulnerabilities. That's why you see Walt's poker face break a bit when Gus first threatens his wife; Walt had spoken impulsively, thinking he had Gus in check and doing his Riddler thing where he runs his mouth about it, but as usual the ultimate consequences on the people that weren't him were the last thing he considered in the moment.

Gus is one of the most terrifying antagonists I've known. The fact that he threatened to kill an infant without any expression shows enough about him.
One thing i saw is that the actor (i don't know if this is on purpose) said it quietly, maybe because it was tough to the show or for him. Shows how impactful this scene is.
Without any expression? 😂
And he didn't try to sugarcoat it or use big words. "I will kill your family", simple, callous, and to the point, and most importantly, legitimate.
People like that are one of the VERY, VERY few situations where it becomes a moral obligation to murder them.
Realistically I'd say it would be easier to kill an infant because they have no idea what's happening where as anyone grown would feel terror in their final moments
He's such a sunshine. Brightens everyones mood.

It’s more so three things:
1.) high IQ in an era of impulsive pretenders

Only Walter knows how dangerous he can be when someone threatens his family.
I see a few comments talking about how Gus was a dead man for threatening his family. I think it was when he kept him from Jesse that made Gus a dead man. The only reason he takes care of his family is cause his ego won't let them be taken care of by anyone else. When Hank promised to help his family when he passed, he was offended that Hank would try to take his territory. It's Walts job, not Hanks. But other than them being his responsibility, he didn't really love them. He hated his son and the way he acted. He didn't care for his wife. When he held his baby in his arms, he couldn't help but show her his money because to him, that's what him the proudest. However, when it came to Jesse, he saw him as this son he always wanted. Someone who is flawed in a way he can build but still has some control. Someone he sees great potential in. Someone he could say, "That's my boy."
I guarantee I hated Walt's wife and kid worse than he did. 2nd most annoying family in TV history. Only CAARRRRlLLL!!!! From the Walking Dead was worse.

But what you can't justify is how the Salamanca brothers couldn't kill Hank.
They were cold, precise, accurate, and merciless.
Yet when they had a kill they decided to slowly trail an axe and ignore the guy fumbling with his gun.
@@Ampheline he knew the gun was empty, and didnt know hank had an extra bullet, he was also heavily injured so he coulda thought that hank was in a frenzy panic, also remember these guys were also psychotic, they probably were enjoying the kill, especially after a long fight like that, dude wanted to end it his way. Still a good point tho
hector: *think I got a better idea*
In reality this would have been the last scene. No small talk. One bullet. The end.
Yeah, and so what if the other guy throws a tantrum and leaves. Gus might care about quality, but drug addicts dont, so he would have simply continued to rule on logistics.

Giancarlo Esposito is such an underrated OG actor.
I think he whispers "your infant daughter"....because even he can't believe he has to even say something like that to get his point across
**clears throat** Be careful on your words, Gus.
NGL I sometimes feel Walter cares so little about anyone but himself he was probably taking Gus as an offer to kill his family, just to get rid of the luggage.
Walter at this point has too many issues as a human being, with few lines left to cross, but he truly does love his family.
You could even hear it in his voice when Walt begs for Saul’s help, he was terrified that Gus would actually kill his whole family.
Before this, Walter mainly focused on his own interests, and self-preservation, but he probably didn’t think his family would’ve become targets. The moment Gus directly threatened Walter’s family, they immediately became his priority, and he’d do whatever he considered necessary in order to protect them.
He was even more than willing to pay most of his money for their protection, potentially all of it if it came down to it.
If it came down to it, he wouldn’t hesitate for even a second to protect his family.
Gus is already dead when he threatened Walter's family.
This was the moment Walt Jr wanted breakfast
Gus is a lot scarier when he's calm.
Because words of a threatening nature don't naturally go with a calm demeanor. It's scary to behold. That's how I speak to my cat when he does something he should not do ☺️
The problem of gus is he spent so much time to mess with hector, all he did is to make his life pure hell, while establishing a drug empire. But he lost focus on the last. He got thrown of by Walt, tried to win Jesse on his side, but... well you all saw how that worked out.
