Your children are so well behaved, and I love how you allow them to be part of your everyday life with the remodel most parents would say no don't touch, go away, etc and your husband is so patient and sweet, well so are you the way you speak to him and the children. When I watch your family interact oh how I wish I would have had a large family. I always wanted 5 children like my mom and I only had 2 so now they are grown. well Congrats I love your home , your family and your videos keep them coming !!!
Hair and make up on point you look lovely with it without. So nice to see you both speak if plans and he hears your many ideas without interrupting without being negative and he supports you acknowledging positive feedback.
Fun watching all this . We spent our young years renovating a Victorian outside of Boston. When everything was right, we bought a house on the coast and downsized unbelievably We started all over again ! Here we are at 71 and 67 and always planning the next project lolol We loved collecting and renovating furniture etc Miss all family and friends ( grown up) But they come gif our beautiful beach they grew up at!! It was a grand ride. Still planning !!
I found you by accident! I am so excited to meet someone who shares the same taste and love for authentic European design and decor. I Love your house! My kitchen is very similar to yours. We bought a 1940’s home 2 years ago and have been trying to restore its old charm! We enjoy antique shopping on the weekends! I love that you have no TV! What color/colors paint you recommend for the walls! I put on vintage French design wallpaper in my living room, but I feel like I am limited on what I could put on the walls because it is a little busy! Thank you
My style for years has been what I called euro country and I think that’s exactly what you’re doing. This is so fun to see someone else going through all of this especially since you have such a good partner to go through it with.
Just found your channel and your living my dream. I'm almost 58 and live in Oregon. I'm a single mom with my little home and I'm going to use old fence to build a little bed to grow som veggies 🤗🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻👏🏼😬👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Susan Velez hey girl. Thanks for your kind words. I’m living my dream as well. We fought really hard to get here:). You’ll enjoy tomorrow’s episode. We’re going to spend more and more time in the potager garden.
They seem to have a pact: Home interior design is her point of interest and he's very happy to accommodate her ideas in that regard. After all, this way he gets to live with (1) a happy wife and (2) surrounded by the beauty of her soothing French domestic style.
Oh I so enjoyed this. We bought a fixer upper home two years ago and I so enjoy the creativity and the excitement of new projects! My husband also brings my visions to reality 😊 I am more New England/ Classic American in style but your French Country kitchen is stunning!
Love y'all. A feast for the senses, and highly motivating. My dad was a custom home builder after WW2. He built the home I now live in, with hardwood floors throughout, and a wonderful hearth and kitchen. You make me think of how industrious, and artistic, my folks were. You are a beautiful couple, and family in the shelter of each other. Thank you for your Christian witness and testimony. Seeing your children baptised was a blessing to me. Thank you for being real, and sharing the highs, as well as the things you need prayer for. God bless you, and keep up the good work.
I'm starting season two now! :). Yep, still sick and still binge-watching. I loved this video because we are in the middle of similar discussions as we prepare for additions to our house that I have been waiting for 16 years to actually happen. HA! Dreams are worth waiting for....delayed gratification and all that jazz! We may be empty nesters, but all the kids and the grandkids love to come to the Colorado mountains to visit so our design has to include our day-to-day lifestyle and the lifestyle of generational living when the family shows up at various times throughout the year. It's exciting and scary all at the same time. It was fun watching you discuss everything. I'm "sure" that all discussions are that calm, right? HA! :). Just kidding!
Always Late haha that’s me with my husband ,l mentioned I thought the living room needed painting but he said he would do it before Christmas,l thought no too long to wait, then last week he bought the paint ,brushes etc and decided to paint,We moved all the stuff out painted and moved it all back in ,the power of women haha
Love watching the littlest one trying to help. Adorable! Btw, your kitchen is amazing! I love all of the copper. You have inspired me, to add touches of French country to my decor. The copper sink is awesome too.
What a beautiful family! I love the chats between you and your husband. In another video I watched recently, you mentioned something about living in Door County. I'm in Oklahoma so I had no clue. Then very soon after that I met a lady that is from Minnesota (I think) and she knew about it, ... and I also picked up a book that I already owned and the Title and stories were about Door County. I found all that very interesting--if not amusing.☺
Yep, that's where we are. It's incredible and a total dream come true. There is an old romance novel written about it "Bittersweet" by LyVrylle Spencer (spelling?)
Maybe you'll find this amusing but I started watching your channel last week for the first time and all this time I thought you actually lived in France! Merci!
This is absolutely my favorite you tube channel! Looking so forward to everything you have planned. The envelope house is so interesting. I have never heard or seen one. I cannot believe it is January, in the far north and you have not had the heat on.
By sending this to you, I know that you may not like her style. I just thought you could see how it is possible to do so much economically when you decide what your style will be. Once you determine that you can do research on that style and follow it by smart thrift shopping. That is the fun thing about it. With the Black book case that was mins and the 2 side chairs with the peacock design it will give you a little bit of an Asian look. That is what I was following. I had a beautiful Ming tree that stood about 3 ft tree but it got broken. You could put twinkle lights on. I loved that tree. I wish you could have seen some of my homes. I loved everyone of them. Now I am trying to fix up my little apartment as my home. I hope to have a little stone cottage in heaven when I get there. No mansion for me. There are a lot of these type of decors on TH-cam. Hope you enjoy this. Love, Gram
What a great episode Angela! One of the things I love about following your journey is that I feel inspired to start where I am, that things don't need to be perfect to get to work on creating something beautiful. And there is beauty in the journey itself, in the growing and the changing. Now I'm off to do some work on my dream. Have a fabulous week! :)
I would like to see more of your decorating things and styles of the pictures and things you have and curtains and foods and desserts recipes yes you have a handy husband you lucky to have a husband that's starts some thing and finishes it than one that starts and never finished like mine lol
Curious to know if you've been watching any episodes of "Escape to the Chateau" here on TH-cam? We were first introduced on television, but then I found episodes here on TH-cam and now I watch it whenever I see an episode. It's a BBC production in which a British family buys an old 4 or 5 story French chateau and fixes it up. Thought it might be something right up your alley!
Just subscribed. You guys sound like us. We live in a two story brick home built in 1876. It has been in my husband family since 1881. Everything is a challenge. The walls are brick inside and out, 16 inches thick, so you just can't put a nail in to hang a picture, have to use tapcon screws. Sometimes I feel that we will never get the house done, so much to do. We also have a Roadside Market on our property that we sell produce from our garden, home baked goods, jams and etc. My husband works outside of the home and I stay at home trying to manage the farm. God bless
First chance I've had to sit and watch! LOVE it! The explanation of how the envelope works was great. Cant' wait to see the progress you make this year.
I watched it Live as well. Was the first time I did that. I'm slow to reading and typing so really only said a few things. Was a nice video and I look forward to watching you this season work on and toward your goals. Blessings from Ringle, WI
Absolutely lovely! I love the animation in the opening credits of the flowers growing, the rooster pecking and the weather vane spinning, too fun! Is that grainy mustard that you use on the crust of the quiche? Looking forward to next week already :0) Is that a loaf of einkorn proofing behind you when your discussing the envelope plans? I just made my first loaf with einkorn last week and it's amazing!
Oh thanks! I had so much fun making that! My first silly hand at animation! It wasn't Einkorn that day, just a big crusty organic King Arther getting ready:) How perceptive of you.

You’re a freak of nature, I say that with the utmost admiration, adoration and jealousy. 😂 doing the same with an 1980’s prize as well just covered the purple kitchen walls with skim coat. 🙄
You might want to keep that valuable husband of yours hidden, I see a lot of admiration going on. I have a wonderful husband, but he’s retired and does not like to do much. Your husband reminds me of my foster dad, he was a fire chief and forever in the reserves for the Army, and during his retirement he was the local Diesel mechanic. You know, you’ve sure come a long way... a lot, you’ve done A. LOT.
Living with grace, surrounded by beauty, and sharing love?
It doesn't get any better than that.
What a blessing finding that man!
Your children are so well behaved, and I love how you allow them to be part of your everyday life with the remodel most parents would say no don't touch, go away, etc and your husband is so patient and sweet, well so are you the way you speak to him and the children. He obviously respects her. He and she are a great team.

Load it with oil paintings and books. Yes. I grab oil paintings from the thrift store for the very same idea.

Fantastic! Great video. Great quality. Great info.
Thank you!
anyone know how to find the song she played in the background? i love it. i've been trying to find it through typing in lyrics but i can't find it! Thanks!! xo Liz

Love your videos! What is that French song in your intro?? I want to play that and dance around my house but I can’t find it anywhere!
It's called Dansez and you can find it on Epidemic Sound dot com. It's where I get all my music. I'm the worst about remembering to list the song names.
Thank you!
Hi, I like you life and family. Congratulation.
Thank you
Great video!
Can't wait to see it all come together! I wish my husband would do house projects. I have so many ideas but he hates it
You mentioned a term during the middle of this video 'pulvolsol' (or something) about indoor/outdoor living. Can you clarify the term for my study. We live in the south, so am trying to re create in our house.
Sure thing! Great question. The word was "Provençal".... not meaning provincial but, of Provence, France. Multiple french doors that swing open from living rooms to gravel or stone courtyards, iron pergolas covered in canvas or bamboo... terra cotta pots overflowing with lavender and herbs.... Mediterranean architecture, etc, etc. I will have aspects of this here but do need to work with our Colonial architecture and harsh winters. I did a blog post a few years back at our rental farm that might give you a little inspiration. www.parisiennefarmgirl.com/cheap-pergola/
my 8 year old loves your theme song- what is it called?
LOTS TO DO , Poor Man. 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞
He'll be OK. LOL Someone who loves him worked really hard to retire him before he was 50:). Beats going to work:)
He's Special indeed 🌞🌞🌞🌞
Angela, I love your videos and your vision but how do you make a living to be able to pay for all the alterations and feed and clothe 6 children? AND..look so beautiful at the same time! X
Angela, thanks for your question. I am a Diamond with dōTERRA Essential Oils which you’ll see me promote occasionally. I started about four and a half years ago and was able to retire Joel a few years later. It’s DoTerra that allows us to be a full time family. We dont have tons of “extra” money because we chose for Joel to come home for the kids’ sake. BUT We are positioning to go Presidential Diamond with the company sometime in the next two years and very excited for us and our leaders. THEN this remodeling is gonna get cray cray:)
I want the recipe for what you were cooking! :)
It's just a hodge podge quiche but I'll be happy to do a video on it as we are beginning to film cooking vids for a new playlist. Stay tuned!
Still working on your list!!!!!!
