I like the archetypes adds more custom characters to fit what you want them to be. I like how starfinder is altering classes the way they do it’s better than a bloated class pool
4:58 Oh heck yeah, fellow Doshko enthusiast! The Doshkos are by far my favorite category of weapon, and I'm personally aiming to have my next character be a Vesk Soldier with the Doshko Specialist archetype and the Powerhouse Style fighing style for added synergy.
About to end my DnD 5e campaign. 1 or 2 sessions left I think. Then it's off to the stars! It'll be a big change, but I need a dnd break lol thanks for the love videos for inspiration 🤙
@@TheMapleTable No, I mean, this is a better alternative TO prestige classes. Instead of abandoning whatever class progression you were on, you instead just trade in some class abilities for different options.
I always want to play them as a PC but my GMs don't allow me to cause they're lazy to re-read some rules from some other book and that makes me so frustrated so when I gm, I always allow EVERY SINGLE rule that exists in the starfinder core rulebooks (in spite of the Drift Crisis one for some obvious reasons^^).

Many things of starfinder are formulaic which is easy to customize
I must’ve lost track. I had no idea there were almost 40 archetypes already. That’s awesome.
to be fair they are quite spread out

Glad I could help! Starfinder is my favorite system
This sounds so cool. Hard but cool.
its a bit convoluted but once you get into it, its not bad
Archetypes; a better approach on Prestige Classes.
Almost? There isn't really a prestige class

i usually allow anything from the source material. Starfinder is fairly balanced overall
