I found out about this school when I saw your first video on it. My son wanted to attend so I flew him from Georgia to Denver to get a tour from Eugene. He is now in his second month there. He is in your video working on sanding a barrel in the Basics area. He got PTSD while in the Army and has been having a hard time with it since he got out. Eugene has been very easy to work with and the school is top notch. I’m so glad you posted these videos about the Colorado School of Trades as I would have never found it otherwise. I am praying he will be able to complete this program and find a job. You have been a life saver and I don’t say this lightly. Thank you. You have my vote for best TH-cam channel! Big thumbs up!
I just graduated from Colorado School of Trades in July of 2022, and it turned out to be the best decision I've ever made in my life. The whole time I was there, I had a blast with everything I was doing, especially in Machine Shop. Going to CST has got to have been one of the best and most life-fulfilling experiences I've ever seen anywhere, and I'm proud to be an alumni. Eugene and all the other staff and instructors have been great too, they really care about their students and go out of their way to help students succeed. Great school!
Good stuff. 90% of young people would be better off doing a course like this rather than "going to college". Doesn't have to be machining necessarily, but some kind of tangible skill. Most all of my teachers told me I wasnt going to amount to shit, but after just 2 years I was making more than any educator I ever had in school.
My local college offers a Hobby course in gunsmithing, mills, lathes, tools, which is always fun to attend. Even if your not into guns you can learn basic machineing skills.
I suspect that not very many people are willing to put in the time and effort to gain true gunsmithing skills. I'm currently enrolled at CST and almost all the students that I know travelled across the country to attend.

@bwillems1000 doing so will require I quit my job and leave my family for X amount of time. This is expensive without even talking about tuition
@@InkwellFoto No doubt. More than half the student body is made of veterans using the GI bill to pay for it, myself included.
