Hands up all those who think that Robin should do a series of videos where we choose obscure and weird lego elements which must be hero'd in a build! Seriously, love this idea. As soon as you showed the Freestyle logo it all came back to me. Pretty sure I saw this elephant head in a catalogue when I was young.
Why am I not surprised that it's Robin that is the one who comes up with a train-based elephant transport? How original?! Anatomically correct rear.... LOL :D :D That's hilarious!!!
The elephant looks epic and is a fun scene. Mmh here in Germany there is his little brother on the children's program called " Sendung mit der Maus ". I like the great job. :-)
The way the goods train struggles to get movement from the start is actually quite natural - trains are starting off at a slow rate in real life as well, you know! I think you should wait with another engine or locomotive just to keep the natural looking start for the time being.
I knew this was coming just didn't know what animal. From what I've seen from the thumbnail it looks amazing so amazing I need one but I don't have a cargo train just 2 passenger trains a holiday train and the hogwarts express. BTW rumour has it that there may be a new elephant mold for 2021. I think the train could do with another fairground wagon maybe another animal or a ride or even a clown maybe a clown car.
For some reason this build brings me back to my childhood watching Dumbo and other movies and books about the circus. Such a nice playful build and I love that the head moves around!
So... If you wanted another fairground traincar, maybe you could do a boxcar with a couple of giraffe who can mechanically duck under all the bridges (either they have a simple spring loading and just bonk their heads as they pass or some sort of raised section in or next to the track that depresses a trigger lever). I have the impression this used to be a hornby/Lima trainset once? Anyway, that would be kinda fun, and useful as a system if you wanted anything else like that to duck under your bridges
With the turntable for the flying ship on the station, instead of putting the turntable on the ground, why not mount it directly underneath the ship with the clear parts underneath. This should make it less of a concern
Dumbo’s mom! I LOL when I saw the icon of the video. Great idea! Maybe you can place him just at the end before the guys on the wagon? Either way, another great addition to the train.
Did you just forgot to convert the Cadillac to left side traffic or is that on purpose because it's supposed to be a first Gen production American Import kind of thing? I also really like the look of the train wheels without this gaurd thing they usually have over them
Haha I love it! I only have one suggestion to add which is to give the elephant something that looks like peanuts. Next Friday could you please start on the groundwork for the fairground?
Had a bit of a thought, when you eventually run out of track to places train cars on you could make a Victorian era train car amd put it in a museum if you make one.
This is definitely one of the best train carriages you have built ( excluding the pump wagon 😁 ). I love this idea so much it is hilarious. Having a blue elephant squeezed into a tiny carriage is so comical . The movement in the elephant head really adds to the build .You could tilt both the fair posters to point to the back of the carriage to show them blowing in the wind. Also you could move the carriage to a position further back and have a minifigure on the carriage behind being sick from the smell of the elephants bottom. Another really great build .☺☺
I think the best thing about your channel is that it is seriously great/creative/well-planned lego building which can still make me laugh out loud. This was fun! :D
This is so cool i love how you gave bent tge anteners on the ssp station i imagine them being bent as they have crashed into them with the flying cop car
Another briljant idea AND execution.. I think I'm gonna go through my own "obscure parts" tonight to see what strange bits I got lying around for ideas... Thanks for another bit of great content and inspiration!
Clever build Robin! Nice to hear how a spontaneous purchase inspired this whole build, which really does tie different elements of the city together. That makes me think you should also include a stall in the carnival that is from the magical / joke store near the alley - another connection between parts of the city. Is the Robin Hood statue placement new between the tracks? That’s a nice spot for t and it looks great with those new black pieces. In the road between the train tracks will also deter tourists from taking those “original” posed photos next to it...
This is awesome! The hut adds a nice pop of color, and the elephant has a cute/retro front and anatomically correct/hilarious rear! Overall, I think it's a great edition to your rapidly growing cargo train. 😁
Wow this is a fantastic idea! You should be a designer for LEGO Robin. Your build is so colorful. I love how you take old pieces and make them super cool. The rear end of the elephant and it pooping is very funny. You nailed it with the design of the elephant and the wagon also. Great job and awesome video my friend!
Also I find your solution to the rooftop antennas on SSPHQ to be wildly hilarious. It's as if they've ALREADY BEEN HIT by an SSP pilot whilst attempting a landing. (They've been replaced so many times already, we've just decided to leave them bent...)
Love the build!! Great idea!!. You're right I never guessed it. The turn table added to the super secret police car might provide more stability if you move the turn table piece to the bottom of the car instead of the top of the roof.
keep up the great content as always i remember when i first started watching you every since I've been adicted now starting my first lego city i imagine alot of people can say the same but i just want to let you no(and there was no language edits HAHA)
I understand that you build your trains to official lego scale, but the scale I build mine too is 8 studs=10 feet, and since the average width of an american train is 10 feet, I build 8 studs wide, allowing for a lot more detail.
Also,2 add the flaming orange train, take all the cars from the white and orange, keep 1 motorized end,and 1 dummy end,and make a MOC car that takes both the color schemes and basically smooshes them together, and add a b-unit for the chosen engine, idk
Maybe rotate the wagon so the elephant is looking in the direction that the train is going. He will get sick looking that way haha. Loved the build, really cool!
Great City! Really like the cobble stone area behind the new LEGO Ideas Vintage car! And I’m in the park of not liking the damaged antennas on top of the police station roof. Were they really in the way of the SSP vehicle landing there? IMO just sack that armature pilot!!! Love the elephant transport wagon as well.
You keep coming up with good ideas, such a great detailed creative built. Really enjoyed it! I would have never thought of using the blue vin for an elephant. But I think my guess for a vin of a fish in movable aquarium on a train carriage was quite a a good effort :D.
@@Danny-no2zp yeah, agree. And the execution to use it as a tail on a big ass of an elephant: it's just awesome. The man deserves a statue; wait, he already has one.
That's a fantastic use of a strange piece, glad it wasn't completely anatomically correct for a male elephant! 😳 could something be added to the trunk to get to head moving a bit more, like a water squirt, or stud on the underside of the head?
I had missed this one. You're always amazing. Can you sleep at night or your thoughts develop in studs??? Just one little thing: the 1x10 black plate on each side would look better in yellow instead of black, to connect with the yellow front and back elements.
I wonder when you were filming while building the train carriage and the part with the train cam if the elephant head ever DID come off? That would be hilarious if it did!
Robin, I absolutely love this build! Quite fun indeed, especially with the "presents" which have been left behind... What fun it would be if one of those poop pieces sat atop the magnetic coupler on that wagon? I do have one question, how does the elephant get out of, or into, the hut? Is it erected around him once he is standing in the correct place? What a fun concept! Good work! :-)
@@RobinHoodBricks Use a 1x2 plate, or a 1x2 jumper plate, then place the "poop" on one of those exposed studs. That way you can have your reinforcement, and your fun, too.
Minifigures for the Ethical Treatment of Animals should protest the fairground having an elephant and transporting it in such cramped conditions
Should call it minifigures for ethical animal treatment, M.E.A.T. for short.

“Im hoping this is gonna be funny, i mean, its got elephant poop” Robin - 12th Mar 2021
Fine words!
Indeed @robin hood bricks
Robin for the first ten minutes of the video: "You'll never guess what this train wagon is going to be!"
Video title: "Elephant Transporter"
You mean you look at the thumbnail first? Wha!
Love this idea! Great build! A funny extra could be a mouse teasing the elephant on the carriage opposite its head!? 🤣
This is a great idea!
Hey again. Is anyone gonna mention the elephant in the room?? Literally😂
Great use of that elephant peace Robin
I think the elephant should be looking and longing for the cow! :) Elephant cow love
In some zoo's they do have cattle as friends with the large mammals like rhinos and elephants.
If anyone ever comes to your LEGO city the first thing you need to say when they come in is “ok, can we please address the elephant in the room?”
underrated comment xD
Lol!
great idea with the antennas, makes sense with the (in)capable "SSP" and the elephant car..just wow!
Yeah, it catches the eye!
Great wagon! 🤩
Idea how about a brown hanging tooth piece from the end piece with the elephant 💩
Yick!
Love the attention to details.... 😂
