Mark, for a hunting rifle in 300 PRC to hit at 1150 yards is awesome, shows that in the right hand ANY firearm is deadly with the right Ammo/Rifle/Shooter. You and Sam are awesome keep up the great work!
Absolutely love your videos, and how you push rifles to their limits and beyond. I’m always amazed by the drone footage when you show just how far away from the target you really are!
Nicely done! I have a nice Browning X-bolt in .300 Win Mag with a sporter barrel that wanders around when it gets hot. I have to stop every 4 rounds or so to let it cool. It was never intended for 'volume' shooting, just a hunting rifle. This video really shows how impressive your custom builds are! Awesome!
I think they make a good gun. You just proved that the nut behind the butt has more to do with good shooting than the cost of the platform. Impressive as always.
Morning Mark & Sam, excellent work!! I thought that group was pretty good for a sporter barrel... Also great job showing us what's possible with your mods done to a hunting rifle!! IMPRESSIVE..... cheers fred...
Impressive it is thanks to you that I got into Long Distance shooting as well as ELR. Thank you very much for all this video we learn so much thanks to you with a bit of observation. keep it up your videos make me dream
2980 yards and that target would have had a hurtin' put on it for sure! Nice work for that set up though, far better than most could even dream of. Cheers!
I can attest first hand that yes, they do. I've got one on a 300winmag and, depending on bullet weight, it cuts the recoil back to about .260 rem - 7mm-08 levels. They are great brakes.
Fabulous to see you doing shots at that range with a hunting rifle Mark. Really shows exactly how much talent and understanding of how it all works you have. Thanks for all the great content Mark and Sam👍👍👍👍
You have sunny weather and dry dirt? Please send it to me in Northern NSW. I could use some dry dirt. Yes ELR with a hunting rig is kinda like, Holden & Ford die hards saying their street cars won Bathurst just needs few extras
Very cool. I like the 300 prc for the ease of loading higher bc bullets. Since it is a hunting rig could you do a few shots with hunting ammo 212-220 eldx at say 600-900 to see how tight the groups are. As always thanks guys
I know it may come down to personal preference & what’s available when trying to buy something that’s closer to unique than super common but think might be better to get the heaviest barrel you can afford or manage to carry. I guess the hiking hunters don’t have to worry about lack of cool down if it’s one maybe two shots then hiking again. Very hard to get perfect rifle that covers most bases but I’m not a hiker hunter so like the idea of heavy barrels but to get an off the shelf hunting rifle to do that takes not just skill but smart barrel management. You did brilliantly given all the things you couldn’t change. I know the 300PRC & 6.5PRC are both 2 completely different creatures but they’ve both captured my attention fully Top work as usual Mark & Sam
Mark, your field shooting at 1,150 yards was excellent! That's right about where I end my long range shooting at! Do you believe that if you had allowed for enough time for total barrel cool down between shots, that you may have gotten better accuracy at 3,000 yards? Great video and very well presented!
I'm glad you did this video. It showed that it was possible to hit well at a thousand. I would have liked to have seen the rifle shoot at the shorter distance with the add ons as well. The rifle shot pretty good. It was hitting just short of the target by a few feet. A lot of us only have the one rifle and it gets used for everything. I would not mind seeing more of these types of videos using all brands of rifles such as a Remington 700 or a Savage 110. In the 300. Winchester caliber.
I bought this exact same rifle howa 1500 in 6.5CM as my first bolt gun. Wanting to get something I can use to hunt as well as target shoot. I have been watching your content since and enjoy it very much. thanks and keep up the good work.
Considering Cleavers sell those rifles for about $700 , Thats pretty good value for the money.. Especially when you consider that a Match barrel chambered and fitted costs allot more then that
Being a tight arse that only really hunts and doesn’t do any ELR I own a few Howa’s. You can normally find a factory ammo that will work with them or I just hand load. Works fine for not much cash.
Good to see some ELR shooting with something off-the-shelf. Is there a comp for this kind of shooting, unmodified factory rifles? I'd be really interested in getting into a comp like that - trying to extract everything you can from a factory designed rifle.
I saw the difference in recoil was substantial with your three port muzzle break! Guess I will be needing one for my Rem. 700 30/06! How much to get one to Texas?
I enjoyed watching your work behind the gun. Way better than watching the target the whole time. Good shooters become best behind glass not the trigger.
Repeatability/consistency @ 3000 is a ask for most guns let alone trigger monkey’s). Nice shooting. If that’s the HS precision then theres a little more in the factory build than a off the shelf dedicated hunter. I think it’s advertised as a cross (precision/hunter). Barrel contours a little heavier than a sporter and the actions bedded to alloy blocks from memory. Howa’s sort of doing themselves a disservice by not configuring a PRC chambering to optimise high BC handloading, I imagine the action will accomodate high BC loaded OAL cartridges just not the DBM/BM.
Thoughtful Accuracy. Excellent example of how knowledge and practical experience are fundamental for good shooting. Thought not bought
Cheers Jason

Thank you Travis
Thoroughly enjoy these shots at such distances like this. Even the land scape is beautiful to see.
Great job again 👍
Cheers Man, thanks

That muzzle break is putting in some work !!!
Yep, lol, Cheers

My rifle is the same been shooting 150g at 3200fps. And yeah they get hot.lol
Nice to see a Howa get some long range time. Excellent shooting on that day. Thanks for showing what a stock hunting rifle can do.
Cheers Lous, glad you liked
That's excellent shooting with a hunting rifle Mark ...
Thanks Shane
I think they make a good gun. You just proved that the nut behind the butt has more to do with good shooting than the cost of the platform. Impressive as always.
Thanks Brian, Cheers
Thanks for showing what can be done with an off the shelf package anybody can put together.
As always outstanding video.
Cheers
1.7 mile shot on a 2 foot by 2 foot target.
It's truly amazing.
Congratulations
Cheers Man
The rifle was very consistent, a good sign. Love the difference between with and without the brake.
Yep, sure does help. Cheers
I love...love...LOVE seeing hardware in my price range.👍
(Then again I've not shot past 200 yrds)
Thanks Mike

Beautiful hits, sensational accuracy, show !!!
Big hug from Brazil !!!
Thanks Man
That was fun to watch. Definitely a cool attempt, just have to hold 1/2 MOA more after every shot, as the barrel gets 🔥 😁.
Lots more than that, but yep, lol, Cheers
@@markandsamafterwork for sure, just playing around.

Great shooting, I like the idea of more stock rifle shooting with no mods done to it 👍 more please!

2980 yards and that target would have had a hurtin' put on it for sure! Nice work for that set up though, far better than most could even dream of. Cheers!

Great shooting for out of the box
Agreed, Cheers
how is that even possible. mind blowing !!!!
Lol, Cheers
That was interesting to watch!
Thanks
That's crazy impressive for any gun straight off the shelf.... congrats bud love your videos

Looks like your brake makes a considerable difference on the recoil. 👍🏻
Yep, Cheers

Well, you wait longer an the wind will change, pick your poison......as said, sporter barrel, not ideal, lol, Cheers
If you need a precise rifle from the shelf the HOWA 1500 is the way to go, and the price is unbelievable 👏 👌
Cheers
I love your videos. keep it up
greetings from Argentina
👍👍
Nice shooting. I’ve been eyeing a 300 prc. Those howas in hs precision stock are very nice.
Cheers

If we had help, (industry, personal, etc, etc) then we would be happy to show, but otherwise we don't have access to rifles like you ask, Cheers
As always, good shooting, well done!
Thanks Man
THAT BRAKE? AND YOUR BIPOD ARE AMAZING AT TAKING AWAY RECOIL IM SOLD THANKS MARK AND SAM I DONT EVEN WATCH ANY OTHER SHOOTING CHANNEL
Cheers Man, thank you.
I've got a Howa 1500 in 7mm Mag I use for big game. Great rifle for hunting. Less great for ELR shooting, lol.
Yep, Cheers

Excellent shooting for a stock setup. Would be interesting to see what it would do in a better stock or a better barrel?
Cheers.
Considering Cleavers sell those rifles for about $700 , Thats pretty good value for the money.. Especially when you consider that a Match barrel chambered and fitted costs allot more then that
Thanks Basham, glad you liked, Cheers
That muzzle brake tames the 300 prc pretty well.
Cheers
You sir im sure can do 3000 yards shot with bb gun lol bravo👍
Lol, thanks Bosko
Being a tight arse that only really hunts and doesn’t do any ELR I own a few Howa’s. You can normally find a factory ammo that will work with them or I just hand load. Works fine for not much cash.
Lol, Cheers
Excellent Mark! Would be mind doing the same with a Tikka T3?
Thanks Man, and sorry we don't do requests at this stage, maybe if the channel gets a sponsor or something, lol, Cheers
Good clear video. Can I ask if you think the portable bipod attached to the barrel affected the harmonics of the barrel whip?
Our bipod system does not touch the barrel, lol, Cheers
Weatherby’s are criticized for being barrel burners but the 30-378 Weatherby went 2-3 at this range.
Yep, Cheers
Good to see some ELR shooting with something off-the-shelf. Is there a comp for this kind of shooting, unmodified factory rifles? I'd be really interested in getting into a comp like that - trying to extract everything you can from a factory designed rifle.
Some places do that sort thing, ask around, Cheers
Great content thanks for sharing
Thanks John
You tube put in an ad break during flight time of the bullet....
🤪👏
Çok güzel bir ülke, mükemmel imkânlar. Biz ancak seyredebiliyoruz
Thanks Tevfik
Love your videos. What range finder are you using?
Sig 2400 ABS. Cheers
Is that a drone shot at the beginning?
Yep
I saw the difference in recoil was substantial with your three port muzzle break! Guess I will be needing one for my Rem. 700 30/06! How much to get one to Texas?
All on the store Chris, cost, shipping, all done there. Link below video, Cheers
@@markandsamafterwork thanks!

Thanks Dave
that break sure makes a big difference. where you planning a bear hunt?
Sure does, and lol, no bears over here, Cheers
I would love to see what you think of the bergara b14 HMR it has a heavier 26 inch barrel.
Cheers
Awesome vid Mark, I just saw two howa's, both 300 prc at a local gun store. Would you recommend this rifle?
Thanks, and Howa's make great barrel's and action's in there rifles, good value for money, cheers
Looks like that muzzle brake made all the difference recoil wise, what would you compare it to?
I enjoyed watching your work behind the gun. Way better than watching the target the whole time. Good shooters become best behind glass not the trigger.
Cheers Rick
🎶👍🎵☀️💡👍

👍
Cheers
How’s that recoil without a brake on it?
Like it looks, lol, Cheers
Nice shooting, Mark.
Did you stay with the 1/2x28 muzzle threads?
Thanks and no, cut off and re-threaded to 5/8" x 24, Cheers
I thought. 1000 was far, sjeez
Lol, Cheers
👏🏻👍🏻🇸🇦
