Very nice build, I did like the SPV, the colour came out well, reminded me of the Dinky or was it Corgi one I had. Technology moved forward by the time Captain Scarlet was being made, servos were smaller so the puppet heads were better proportioned although the puppeteers said they were harder to work with, yes I’m a bit of a nerd but I did grow up with Gerry Anderson, model on
I think I had a Corgi one and yes, that was my inspiration for the colour. It's interesting to learn about the development of the shows as I watched them when they were repeated in the '90s and they weren't necessarily shown in the same order they were made. I think Joe 90 must have been another late one due to the more realistic proportions. Thanks for watching!
Very nice job. While we had Captain Scarlett here on the CBC (Canada) I don't remember as much about this show as some of the other Jerry Anderson "Supermarionation" shows. Cool looking car. i have to admit that I was spooked for a second when I first saw that third hand (your son Alex's) creep into the picture. 😲 Looking forward to seeing that Patrol car build as well.
Thanks very much! Yeah, I'm glad I mentioned that he helped me with this one - I let him choose a kit to help me with and this was his choice. It's interesting to look on the Gerry Anderson TH-cam channel actually as there's a bunch of other shows which I never saw as they weren't repeated following the initial run.
I got it second hand from a model exhibition in the UK but I have seen them on eBay. Might be worth looking on Japanese sites if you are in Oz too as Imai are Japanese. I hope that helps!
Nice build. Especially enjoyed the way you included your son in the project. Well done. 🏁
Thanks so much! I never built models as a kid but my boys really enjoy it.

Pretty cool kit Thomas! There in an ultra fine sharpie that may have been easier to use. Very unique and fun subject. Thanks! 😎
Good idea! And if course there are the posca pens which I use. I don't have a black though. Thanks, Richard

If you don't mind me offering a tip, in that scale I would suggest using Vallejo German Grey or similar replacing the black.
I don't mind and thanks for the suggestion
OK where do I get one again please mate...from OZ land downunder. Loved Captain Scarlet as a kid?? Nice one
