Only takes a short time to set up, so far so good. You can use double sided tape to install all the parts inside the house which is good. The app is ok, it does take a while to get used to it but once you have it works...most of the time. Good alarm for the money and easy to expand if wanted.
The app doesn't work if your phone uses a VPN - it took quite a while for tech support to suggest that was my issue. How to install the windows sensor on modern UPV windows? They don't close "flush"; in fact, I reckon the window (and patio door) is > 10mm thick / proud of the frame.
Excellent video. However after buying it i learned reviews and adverts stating this will work with Google Assistant are misleading. You can link it and arm or partially alarm via Google but you cannot disarm it via Google. Alexa does support disarming by asking for your PIN but Google doesn't allow it. Big issue ESPECIALLY due anyone with some disabilities.
is Google home integration now supported, and if so, is there a video overview of this in action or any support material to see so I can see if its a good purchase now?
I can't find proper instructions on how to set up my keypad. The instruction Manuel tells me nothing and I can't find information on this specific keypad, anywhere
I'm concerned about the hub which is also the siren, is it not a little bit weak, especially with the power button ? It's not tampered and even though the alert is transmitted before the burglar crashes it, I would rather have another internal siren to hide the brain. It's probably cheaper for Yale to integrate the siren inside the hub, but I think it makes the alarm more a toy and less than a traditional alarm system. How loud is the siren btw please?
@@Ghazan it doesn't matters, the external sirens are expensive so you're gonna place the only one you have outside. Moreover, the hub is still vulnerable because it's internal siren is focusing the attention, and the main strength of the system is to prevent you on your app, which is impossible if the hub is destroyed before
@@arthurmartin1885 buy another external siren and pair it and use that for inside. If you want more you got to pay more. I think the kit they have given is decent

@@matthewlidbury597 my alarm was bought second hand and another user email was bound...that’s the issue with this code. You have to contact the previous owner
@@SulySF I can arm the alarm by voice using google assistant( you have to allow yale home app in google home settings), but it states I cannot disarm due to security. I have seen on another video where a 4 digit pass code is verbally said to authorise the disarm. I can't find this setting?
Personally I’ve done away with Smartthings. It’s convoluted and not properly supported by Samsung. I use Amazon Echo, Philips Hue and Yale will be the final piece :)
Properly missed a trick with giving no instructions on those coming from the previous generation of yale alarms.. To top it off I'm not getting the account password forgot emails. Rather frustrated and disappointed with Yale.

How do I change the modem battery? I opened it but not sure how to take out the old one. Thanks.
Will this alarm still work without Internet connection? Still function as normal always without using the app

Can you get a camera to add to this system
What's the difference between the ia320 and the sr320 and are the accessories compatible please?
I’m having trouble installing the door connectors on upvc door. There seems to be too much height even with the included padding. Any tips for this?
Same problem here, a uPVC French door (back) doesn't match their 'everything is flush' fixing kit.
We’ve put it on the handle with one of the pieces that raise it higher, the piece on the frame is on an angle but it works fine 👍🏼

Where do I find the 4 digit pin number
So if the internet is down, you have no home alarm? Yes-no?
I think it still runs off its own network. You can't use the app though as far as I understand. The house remains alarmed.
What powers the sirens ? Thanks

Alexa is currently supported by Sync - watch our social for future integration developments!
