    These adventure bikes can make great touring bikes also. Being taller in 😢traffic( high seat and suspension l) makes it easier to see over trucks and SUV’s in front of you. Many smaller bikes you can not see over or around all these trucks and SUV’s. Many non adventure bike Harley’s are completely hidden behind traffic. Plus you feel fine going down dirt roads in comfort as well as some mild technical stuff

      Givi is a quality name. I like the looks and practicality of the Giant Loop bags I've seen. I've never used them though. I don't have a dirt or adventure bike right now but that's where I started my riding in the Santa Cruz mountains many years ago.

    Interesting the controls on the clutch-hand side looks exactly same as the Aprilia Tuareg. Wonder if they source from same parts bin.

    Great review! I'm worried that this won't be a great 2up bike. Really want the offroad performance since I already have a 501 and want to be able to do some 2-3 day touring with my wife. My other choice is the Tiger Rally 1200 which, but I dread picking that beast up in the sand when I'm doing harder solo adventures. A hard choice since I like them both. Plus I have 32 inch inseam and worry about the cockpit being cramped. If i could afford, I'd buy both.

    • @ryanadams3240
      @ryanadams3240 ปีที่แล้ว

      Two good bikes, but quite different. The Husky feels taller (which may not be an issue for you) and has a nice wide rider and passenger seat, though I think the Tiger's is more plush for both participants. The Tiger 1200 with its motor, electronics, and comfort would be a better two-up touring bike, hands down. I guess it just depends how much of which kind of riding you plan to do. Both manufacturers offer taller seat options.

      I have the Expedition and ride 2 up all the time. Heading out now in fact. After us riding my little Crf300L around anything would be an improvement of course. I think it’s great for it and we couldn’t be happier. Heck there’s so much room I have to slide back in the seat so there’s no gap between us. I’m 6’2” so the height is great for me, in fact I have it in lower position so I could see shorter rider not being as comfy.
      BUT what really sold me since all have the technology to help keep us safe would be the same on most the bikes I considered was the fact the Norden 901/KTM 890 are the best balanced ADV bikes and I couldn’t see going bigger if going off-road was a desire as it is for us.
      Anyway, good luck. You’ll enjoy whatever you get I’m sure!
      Safe travels! 🏍️💨

      @@lukefish7562 Thanks for the info. Yeah, I'm 6'3" and didn't want to be cramped and make sure my wife was comfortable if we were going to doing any day trips. And I want something that can do double duty for some off road riding which might be more than just your standard gravel road. I'm pretty heavy at 245lb and mayl need to get some stiffer springs like I have with my 501. Especially if I'm carrying a passenger and some light luggage.

    I am looking for a bike to do the Pan American. Being Swedish, and actually from a town only 60km from the town Huskvarna where Husqvarna originally comes from, it would be great if this bike would be capable enough. How much is the tank volume? The mpg? And how is the third party market?

    Bought one, rode it twice, sold it the next week. Really don’t like how wide the bike is at the seat and tank. Knees are spread too wide when sitting. Seat is too wide, also all the plastic rattles on rough roads. Nice looking bike and better air flow than the 890R, but the 890R (I’ve owned one) is a much better off road bike IMO.

    The bags and bag mounts have to be the worst I have ever seen from an OEM. In every video I’ve seen of thIs bike not only are they flopping around as if they aren’t properly tied down, but the left side rack is sitting ridiculously far out from the bike. Poor design, poorly executed, and I’m sure all for premium money. 👎
