Probably cause it's so freaking dry in Vegas, his eyes are desperate for moisture. Especially on that floor all day long with no natural light, or fresh air.

The only people high on Kinefini-juice are the folks that bought into it and they feel slighted when someone thinks they made a bad decision. They’ve been making cameras for 15 years at least and still have choppy playback, quirky UI issues, camera randomly not powering on, no presence in the States, long repair times.. the list goes on.
But it’s not a bad looking image, it’s actually great looking images from the camera but that trade off is no longer appealing. Most cameras look good now. No one should be spending $15k with Kinefinity

Ive seen Red and Sony cameras not powering on, or I have seen Arri 35 cams having weird issues, so that argument is not the strongest of your on going list.
Any manufacture brand whose HQ are not in the US, will have to get sent somewhere for its repair.
      (STEADYCAMS, CRANES, ETC..)
Usually Kinefinity gives you a temporary camera while they repair yours.
You have now a playback interface with the new firmware.
what I agreed with you is, not presence on the States and not competitive price.
The prior models where more shitty but now they are quiete good.

@@birthmarkmedia6307 Surely "camera sometimes has a bug" is a different class of problem than "UI is always laggy" or "playback is always choppy". An occasional bug is perhaps forgivable, but something that you run into every time you something other than hit "record" is potentially a workflow or confidence problem
Edit: to elaborate, "camera sometimes didnt turn on" is potentially an engineering oversight, whereas "playback is laggy" is an obvious, persistent problem and is therefore indicative of a design flaw.

@@birthmarkmedia6307 Personally, I have not seen a Red or Sony fail to boot. No once, not even my old Dlsr(s) that still work. With Kinefinity; it’s happened to me twice and for no apparent reason. Repairs and customer service delays are mostly due to their low presence in the US. I’m sure that would improve if they had more sales here to justify it. Also not all repairs need shipping out of the US but with kinefinity it’s practically mandatory.

I love my LF mk 1 but yeah if you’re gonna preview something in camera for a client it’s not the best playback. Every OS gets a little better hoping that continues. Their customer service still needs a little improvement too
