Thanks sir, my button went "PoP" and I need to replace the lever. I'm on a 95' XJ, and it doesn't look entirely the same tbh, no airbag etc. And I wonder if the center console really has to come off fully like that... Thanks for recording this dzlfreek!
My XJ Parking brake handle stuck in the upright/on position. Car wouldn't move barely an inch. Put it in 4 lo & rocked the car back & forth until - bang, it released! Drove fine for a while - then back brakes locked up while braking. Now parking brake doesn't work, guess I've probably snapped the 1st cable - but don't understand why back brakes locked up? Any ideas why? Yea I know I'm going to have to have a look but there's other jobs need doing...joys of being a Jeep owner 😖😭🖐️
I am guessing you cleaned up all the creepy crude on the center console and all, it looked like you did, but believe my stomach got upset at seeing the dried up creepy crude...other than that, very cool to see --
the window issue was a broken wire where the harness passes through the drivers door. The locks are harder to pin down. I can't find a wire anywhere (yet) thats broken, so its either a faulty switch or the factory module for the key fob
@dzlfreek I dismantled my center console last night. Just as I suspected the day it happened, the end of the cable had deformed the bracket that is designed to hold it. I will need (when I have more time) to remove the entire lever assembly and see how to re-form it to retain the cable stopper. Pliers? Welding? We shall see. Thanks for your video!
I have a vibration & clunking noise coming from under my 2000 Xj. I didnt know what was causing the noise, but i realized that its my emergency brake that is intensely vibrating. Anyone know what the problem may be? Thanks
Still helping people 5 years later. I'm about to replace my brake lever. Thanks!

@@dzlfreek no, thank you!
Hola muy bueno el video pero como se arma o se ensambla la goma y el botón con el alambre que jala y tranca el freno gracias.

My window does the same thing on my XJ! Same window too. Please make a video on fixing that it would be great 👍🏼
Yeah, I know, 2 years ago. But I still shudder when you put it in neutral then crawl under and disconnect the e-brake cable.
well done carpenter thank you

Is there a light bulb for the transfer case handle?
My 99er cherokee hand break has the teeth rotten. Is there any tip where I can find a replacement? Greetings xxx
eBay or junk yards as far as I know.
Oh, my gosh!! Thank you

Much oblige... would have been a pain in a$$ without your guidance. I had tried and it was indeed... no bueno 😑
🤣
Glad it helped
did you figure out the window issue

are the cherokee xj and grand cherokee handles the same ?
unfortunately, no. and the 97-01 are different than the earlier models
Where did you find the replacement parking brake lever assembly?
junk yard
