Hi! I'm not sure. I didn't see anything about max battery sizes. They ship their bundle with a 6Ah battery and the biggest one I have is the 8Ah max output which I tested. I feel like any battery that has the same molded rails on it would work. But it would probably be best to call Rigid support and ask. They were very helpful when I called in to register the chainsaw and the wait time was short.

But anyway, thanks for the reply.I have the exact same saw, here in Europe it is AEG, I also have tools from Ridgid and the batteries work without problems with both brands. I wanted to buy an 18V 12Ah battery, because it is not offered here, but shipping and tax 21% + duty about 8 % will make the purchase incredibly expensive.

I can tell you it will NOT fit a 12 amp hour battery. I hope they make a version 2 of this such that you can.

This is an awfully large saw body for such short bar.
