Iconic. Also for the music, that was composed by a pretty famous Dutch pianist, specifically for this kur. Much better than those badly remixed all-over-the-place '80 mixtapes that some of the riders bring.
I think baseball got cut because it’s not popular enough in france and they dont have any baseball stadiums. I also think that this specific dressage event isn’t really a sport. The jumping one is cool, but this requires zero physical work.
Simple reason. Softball isn't popular globally enough yet. I'm South African and I've never heard of or even seen a single softball match in South Africa. This is a sport in the Olympics probably because it was already part for a while before globally inclusivity was considered.
@@maximmaxpanek5587try it and you will understand what it requires. This level of mastering is way above the 1% you can imagine. Im just talking about the performance here, not all the hours behind to prepare.
This is disgusting. I will never respect any kind of sport which is based on animal suffering nor is it athletic or beautiful in any way. It's torture.
@@LadyFluffles It is. Have you ever seen horses moving like that without people forcing them? No. They would never. But they get punished when they dont. Just sitting on the back of an horse ist already bad for their body. Just because you don't want it to be animal abuse doesn't change that in fact it is.
@@Sounds2Ardor it actually isn’t… it’s a beautiful partnership between horse and human. And believe me just because a horse doesn’t move like that regularly doesn’t mean it can’t.
@@LadyFluffles A beautiful partnership when someone with 50 up to 100kilos rides on your back forcing you to move in a way absoluty unnatural to you because humans think its fun. Don't make me laugh! Yes, that's animal abuse. Check the statistics about injuries those horses receive from such human behavior. Horses being able to move like that when they are forced to do so was never question. Mhm dressage actually originally was a movement used in war times to make it look like the horses were moving when really they were just standing in place doing the dressage movements.
@@rexietielrex2121 INTERESTING!! That's actually really cool. Horse dancing is actually a lil creepy but now that I know that, I have an appreciation for it.

What a beautiful horse!
Me too
Absolutely! It's Salinero. Anky van Grunsven won olympic gold with him in 2004 and 2008. The horse unfortunately passed away in 2022 at the age of 28
Love these equestrian events!! Very Enlightening!! Also love to look at these horses in their style!!

The touch of elegance she brings to the table is mesmerising to watch
Love it!!!!
The equestrian event from Beijing 2008 was held in Hong Kong
Today is Hong Kong return to PRC 27th anniversary

Why? Let that animal be an animal FFS.
Doesn’t this woman have abuse allegations against her as well? Charlotte can’t be the only one…
She does. And she's not even ashamed about it.
That horse needs water.
Why?
@@RW28281Both horse & rider are sweaty. They are losing fluids & electrolytes.
@@TaushaTW yeah, they get water at the end, (most) riders when they are done riding immediately go and get their horse a drink
The horse got water :) also: this was in 2008. The beautiful horse (Salinero) passed away in 2022, at the age of 28

Dressage is always beautiful ❤🥰
So cute ?
that poor horse being totally degraded of what a horse should be. Replace the horse with a human and tell me that's not an exercise in humiliation..
Some horses like doing that, that's what they are trained to do, if the horse didn't like it, the rider could be dead
How is this still in the Olympics, but softball and baseball (actual sports) got cut for Paris?!

The horse was definitely going through it....
this isn’t animal abuse…
