Watch me build an end grain cutting board in my shop! I'm calling this mosaic pattern "Dragon Scales". This was a very complicated build, but I'm happy with how it turned out.....
I’ve made enough end grain boards to know how much work a “regular” design is. This was insanely well executed. So much time and patience. Scared the bejesus out of me with that first set of thin rips where your fingers were so close to the blade.
Stunning work. But man, I shuddered a few times with how close your hands got to the table saw blade. Sawstop or not, I'd never get within a half or a quarter inch of the blade...
Wow! Thats pretty amazing how you can start with two pieces of dimensional lumber and after alot of precision cuts and glue ups you can end up with such intricate patterns. Thanks for that video.
I've built a 3d cube cutting board and I know how much time that took. This is like 5 levels above that. Amazing work, beautiful execution, truly impressive.
I've worked with wood for a long time. I've watched hundreds of cutting board videos on here and built hundreds myself. This is the most impressive cutting board I have ever seen. If you have a link to buy, put it up. Bravo. Subscribed But as fellow classical musician, please protect your ears!! And your eyes!!
First time watching this channel. I'm amazed at the attention to detail, also all the work that has been put into this cutting board. Keep up with the great work and video's
That definitely warrants a "Thumbs up". Wow... nice job. I mostly do end-grain inlay style boards, mainly because I just don't have the patience to do what you just did there. Kudos
Can I just take a moment to say that I truly lust after that workshop. OMG. Oh and when my wife asks me why the heck I ordered 250 binder clips from Amazon I don't understand the look she gives me when I say its for a cutting board...
This level of precision is insane. When I saw the thumbnail, I thought, it would be another CNC powered build. It is incredible. Keep up your great work and content. Followed.
I'd love to see you build a set of double doors with intricate patterns. These are too beautiful to be stuck in a drawer. They need to be the statement piece of a fine home.
Wow. That is an insanely intricate pattern you have made and I admire your dedication attention to detail and precision. I know you call it a cutting board but I think I'd hang it as a piece of art.
incredible build..... After I watched this I went out into the shop, laid on the floor in fetal position and cried for 20 min. 😝😆😆😆😆😆😆😆 I love how you ran it through the planner. Its hilarious when people loose their shit about "...end grain can't go through the planner..." Nice to see we have sacrifice boards in common at least. Looking forward to more of your content.
Absolutely stunning! I’m jealous of your patience and dedication. Fantastic work and I love your shop setup. Hopefully it isn’t forever stained with Padauk. It’s a gorgeous wood but damn can it messy. Keep up the great work!
If I did a job like the one you just did and someone used it to cut a piece of something I would hit their hands with a shovel! Excellent work! Art! Sergio, from city: Ituzaingó, estate: Corrientes, country: Argentina
Awesome, but remember to protect your hearing. I work in a big community workshop and a lot of the older people there have bad hearing and regret not taking better care.
Not to mention no lung protection, no riving knife and getting the left hand right next to that blade on the saw. Definitely not the video to watch to learn how to do the work safely.
I subscribed and can't wait to see if the next video is a masterpiece of woodworking or piano, haha! Although, I think a combination of the two would be a great combination and niche :)
I have used enough cameras to know you were using a Nikon. Those click sounds when the auto-focus kicks in. 😅 Love the design and absolutely stunned by your effort. Awesome. 👏 Edit: Subscribed, and liked the video.
It is beautiful but your safety on you using scares me to death. Seriously it is easy to get into bad habits and it only a second. If there is someone that hosts a class woodworking or maybe a friend that knows some safety issues. But tell them to be brutally honest you cannot afford the surgeries and loss of income, if this work contributes to your household income. A supervisor at a nice government job I had used to do woodworking after work and on weekends. He lost his first 2 fingers the tip of ring finger. It took four surgeries to quit having infection and what not. In fact as I am typing this it is at the minute mark you are using your t-square and your fence at the same time. But again you do incredible work. It's really next level!
I love your shop and am going to be hopefully building mine soon! Is there anywhere I could see more pictures of it for reference? Love the natural light.
Utterly and absolutely amazing work making this beautiful cutting board. The sheer precision and calculation it took to make each cut is astounding. Instant sub to see what else you create. Where are you located btw?
Incredible! What a beautiful environment to woodwork! My only question is... if you love to play and listen to music... how on earth are you not wearing hearing protection!?
I agree that this is the most interesting cutting board that I have seen. Extremely well thought out. I really don’t like negatives when you should be encouraging but I have to agree about hearing protection and dust control. It’s only when you get to my age, after more than 45 years of woodworking, that you find yourself wishing that you had taken greater precautions. I’m not sure what timbers you are using. Is one padauk? I was always taught that the dust from padauk was particularly bad for health and I genuinely don’t know about its safety when in contact with food. All that said, you’ve achieved the hardest part - of making something to be proud of.

oh man my thoughts exactly with those first cuts lol
Glad it wasn't just me!

I love that TH-cam has become a haven for woodworkers worldwide. Every time a new one pops up, I’m filled with pride.
I admire the clean, openness of your workshop.
Stunning work. But man, I shuddered a few times with how close your hands got to the table saw blade. Sawstop or not, I'd never get within a half or a quarter inch of the blade...

Your work space/shop is almost as awesome as your woodworking!

Really like the designs that you’ve come up with, just wish there was videos on the entire builds.
That definitely warrants a "Thumbs up". Wow... nice job. I mostly do end-grain inlay style boards, mainly because I just don't have the patience to do what you just did there. Kudos
About 20 OSHA violations, but your work is spectacular. Glad your fingers are all intact...How's your hearing?

I’ve heard the same about Padauk dust, but I think it’s fine for food contact.
Wise advise! Thank you.
