She is choreographer too.
she really have that creativity in her. her recent mini album 6equence is one of the best. the way she made it like a movie...she involved in everything for her solo works...6equence is about love, from the moment you fall in love, being happily in love, crazy in love, break ups and the lingering feeling of that break up. that's how the track list is set. she's a great lyricist too. the song Absence was written based on a popular korean drama "the world of the married" from the point of view of the other woman (the mistress). if you have been in her concert, you will know how great she is as an artist (I've been in two though it's only online since covid happens)

Absence is PURE GOLD. I cried the first time I heard it, and the lyrics... The lyrics are a masterpiece. I think this song was what made me stan Moonbyul. It's my fav Korean song

Honestly moonbyul is my number 1 kpop idol because shes just so creative and talented, I love all of her solo music so much and it's all so unique.
She's the BEST
These songs are a great intro to Moonbyul's range and diversity. You might want to follow up with the 3 MVs from her most recent solo album 6equence - the pre-release singles G999 and Shutdown and the title track Lunatic.
Selfish does have a great message but when you rewatch Selfish note all the bluffing she does - pretending she's on a tropical beach in the summer when it's actually spring or fall and she's in a park with people walking around in heavier clothing, that she's vacationing in a beautiful natural setting when she's actually standing in front of a picture, and driving cool, expensive cars with Seulgi when they're actually toy cars. She acts all cool and confident but the kids bully her and take her money and at the end she poses in a cocky way and then bows apologetically to the guy in the car. This is a variation on Mamamoo's "cute bluffing" concept for the Yes I Am MV the previous year in which the yellow toy car makes its first appearance. I call Moonbyul's version swag bluffing. :)

I also highly recommend watching her performances of Eclipse on tv music shows during promotions and for a good time with a cool surprise watch AleXa's dance cover of Eclipse. AleXa is with ZB Label, which is run by Zany Bros, the video production company that makes most of Mamamoo's MVs as well as the other groups under RBW. She seems to have been adopted as a baby sister by the RBW family and has done a couple vids with Mamamoo's label mates Onewe.
Moonbyul won her first round match vs Momoland's JooE with a cover of Day6's Congratulations on the Second World tv show Robert Thomas mentioned. You can find easily a vid of her outstanding performance.

Moonbyul is an Artist, not just an Idol. she create art, not tiktok music. Moonbyul and Mamamoo music, to be able understand it to the fullest, you need to have quite an amount of experiences in life. But the things about their music is each time i listen to it I feel it a little bit more, and at some of my hardest points in life their music guide me overcome the difficulties.

Always enjoy your reactions to Mamamoo and I'm glad you started with Byulie for their solo works. I adore Byulie, there's just something magical about her. BTW Byulie is currently on a JTBC show where rappers are competing in a "singing" contest. Other competitors are Yubin from Wonder Girls, AOA's Jimin, Mimi of Oh MY Girl, WJSN;s Exy, Jooe from Momoland, Billie's Sua, and Seonyou of Class:y. I love Mamamoo and all its members but Moonbyul is my bias and since you are my favorite artist in kpop and I can tell you that if you were impressed, you haven't seen anything yet, that woman is overflowing with talent, I have to say that in fact she is the female artist with the most songs written of all time in kpop with more than 100 songs under her name and absence is one of those songs as well as all the songs on her album 6 sequence less lunatic. I can tell you that all their albums are a work of art but 6 sequence is my favorite since the whole album has as its concept the story of a relationship and each song takes you through the different stages of it from beginning to end in an order of events logical, I would love for you to react to it since all the songs have videos. And you should also react to his song Moon movie, it doesn't have a video but countless fans cameras from live performances at mamamoo concerts and I promise you they are absolutely worth it, especially the one where he first sings mirror and then Moon movie, both songs written by her and both very different with powerful lyrics, that presentation is legendary. I personally love "snow" (warm and gentle song) and "a miracle 3 days ago " (cute side) both is a BD gift she gave us besides the latest ablum.

Oh I'm so excited to see this first one, I have heard and seen tiny clips about it but not the whole thing - and with Seulgi's solo coming up I am pumped to see anything with her. But also, I loooove Moonbyul's tone to her voice. A very pleasing and soothing tone compared with many girl group rappers - while singing as well. I just love her vocal style. The way she likes to show her low range is soooo beautiful. Something I also love about Moonbyul is the way she embraces a masculine style in her approach to visuals and I have also heard she prefers to be called handsome rather than pretty. She is so confident in her own expression of who she is - which is a common thread in Mamamoo members!
