- I give you guys my early first impressions of this nifty little generator that picked up on sale on Black Friday last year. I finally got around to opening it up and giving it a try. I'm pretty impressed, especially for the price I paid.
If you just want a small, compact generator that will be very affordable, acceptably quiet (for a generator) and be enough to power most basic things, this might be your best bet. It's also better built than the similar Harbor Freight unit. - บันเทิง
I got mine a few days ago and we had a bad Strom lights went out for 5hrs. And this little guy worked like a champ.
*Great **Generater.Systems** . Pretty quiet compared to other in this size. Runs my AC in our camper, but have to take generator off of economy mode to do so!! Great buy. Would recommend!!! Champion 2500*
I just picked one of these up for $99 from Walmart. I have to admit I was surprised it was totally smoke-free on the first start. It also started on the first pull. It does seem slightly better quality than my Harbor Freight one.
My new 1202SA model says 30:1 on it. I remember the confusion nefore with these type of generators where teh stickers said 30:1 but manuals saying 50:1.
Heres what pulsar said.
The only reason they said 50:1 is they couldnt pass EPA back then at 30:1 so they said to use 50:1 to be compliant.
But bow they were able to pass EPA at 30:1 on the newer model (or its the same lol) so they are now saying 30:1 on stickers and in manual.
They told me to use 30:1.
Im using red armor at 30:1 and zero smoke when running.
Im sure any modern name brand oil at 50:1 is fine.
Ill run the 1/2 tank of 30:1 and maybe change that but she runs fine and no harm using more oil at the beginning when its new.

This litte generator works hard. I got 550+hours on this Gen. Im sure I would have gotten double hours if I had not tinkered with it so much.

Great review, Just upgraded to this from the harbor freight. Did you ground it? Says to ground it in the manual.
Harbor freight runs just as good. I have the original storm cat had it for close to ten years now. Run the shit out of it hasn't given me any issues

I Just bought the same one for I think $150, haven't used it yet but I'm only expecting to run my chest freezer during the COVID19 stuff here in California.
Im not rich, I was just looking for something to Get my family my if need be or, camping gear kinda thing

En los primeras horas trabaja muy bien, pero rápido presenta desgaste en el cigueñal y se vuelve muy ruidosa y el voltaje inestable, oscilante entre 115 - 125 VAC. Tanque lleno de gasolina dura 7 - 8 horas según la carga que tenga (100W promedio)
Si aumenta la carga eléctrica bajan las horas. Gasolina de 90 - 95 Octanos y relación de aceite dos tiempos 1/50 (2.6 onzas por galón )
En general no recomiendo comprar este generador para uso prolongado, quizás para uso casual o pocas horas a la semana.

Hola, si mira, si no la has comprado, no lo hagas busca otra opción, yo tengo una de esas plantas eléctricas y al inicio se miraba bien, aun cuando el gobernador acelera y desacelera el motor, yo la uso para iluminar una pequeña casa de campo, con bombillos ahorradores se ve el parpadeo que al final te molesta, tuve que cambiar a bombillas LED, pero lo que mas me molesta es el ruido, a subido mucho al punto que la termino apagando y uso un inversor con la batería del carro. ademas de contaminar demasiado por momentos tira mucho humo blanco. Saludos amigo, espero te ayude mi comentario. es de ver que ese generador viene en muchas marcas, pero al final es el mismo. así que ojo....

Actualmente lo tengo abandonado, esta en buen estado o sea que funciona, gracias a Dios logre conectar la energía comercial, y dejar de escuchar ese ruido y respirar aire contaminado con olor a aceite y gasolina.

They pretty much sound like a chainsaw except for the part where they rev the holy crap out of the engine
NIGHTMARE! The plastic “bearing plate” that hooks the metal flywheel to the start cord seems to be a major design flaw. It broke the third time I started it. I was stuck on top of a mountain waiting two weeks for the replacement parts. So, I damn near froze and came pretty close to shooting a turkey out of season before I starved. I am convinced to get a couple of quality spark plugs. They sent a whole new rope starter assy. They didn’t bother to tie the knot in the handle. So, I had to take it all apart and correct it. The guy was nice enough to refund my money. So, I had that money available the next time I got a ride into town. I had the same rope kickback that almost broke my hand. I still don’t know the cause of that, but it doesn’t seem right? I want my electric push button starter back. Back in the sixties I had a lawnmower from Sears that had a nice starter, not a rope, it had a handle you flipped out, wound up a coil spring, and flipped closed to start the motor, it was so much less work and much more reliable. If you’ve had a good experience with one of these, please let me know how and why?
I wish I could've gotten this one back in 2014. The Harbor Freight/Storm Cat is great and all, but I hate it only has one outlet and no DC charging port.
Although I'm sick of my harbor freight Storm cat because it's noisy when you're trying to sleep if you're camping. I'm going to buy a pulsar inverter generator.

I bought mine like a week ago and I won’t star I put oil and mix it with gasoline but for some reason it won’t work any advise
50:1 it’s recommended when the engine is bigger than 70cc I do believe the generator has a 73cc bore kit

Buy one 3 weeks ago and 1 week ago we had a blackout and we used it for almost 4 continuous hours turning on the whole circuit of lights in the house, about 480 W more or less without problem with a consumption of 1/2 gallon of mixture.
In summary, we felt that it was a good purchase because of its low cost, easy start, it is light and it is not too noisy to be a 2-stroke engine.
If your needs do not exceed 900 W and is only for casual use, not prolonged and constant, I consider it a good alternative.
To finish there are many generators that look a like, but this among the several brands that I saw, is the one that look best build.
All the engine internals are the same as the Harbor Freight model. So if you want to save a few bucks I would just buy the Harbor Freight model.
I guess what I meant to say was, it's the same 63CC engine that's found in the Harbor Freight model.

Pricing has gone up between 50-75% though. $150 shipped is best I can find from reputable dealer.

Yo I have the same generator,it keeps turning off I replaced the spark plug and it just happened again, and i also put the right portions of oil, what could it be?🤔
Is it suppose to work with spark plug? I thought u just put the gas in and start it up
Just bought a Pulsar 1200 W generator from HomeDepot. It could not start!!! The recoil handle was stupidly designed with sharp edges that hart my hand and made my hand very painful after pulling it even when I wore a glove. The tank is alleged to hold 1.1 Gallon, but actually hold less than one gallon.
Just got this generator today. Box says 1.1 gallon but tank only holds 1/2 gallon.

This review would had been much better if the camera didn't move so much.
It's no better than the Harbor Freight cuz it doesn't have pure sine wave for clean power. Like the Harbor Freight it'll eventually burned up your equipment
