You're one of the few people on YT that's on the right track. You can absolutely sell anything. The problem many people don't realize they're facing is marketing themselves and their work. Sub earned. I hope you keep making content.
Hi Rus, Great video. It is amazing where one little comment can lead. I will be making some of these Bud Vases and taking them to my local florists to see it there is any interest. Take care Rus and looking forward to the nest one. I have a method for pricing my pieces but it's always great to hear other ways of doing it which could be easier and better. Cheers, Huw
I really appreciate these videos. I think learning how to price the things that I make ( as a hobbyist only, I try to keep in mind that by underpricing pieces, I can potentially really hurt those turners that make their living off of their work) has been harder than learning how to turn wood. What model of lathe do you use? Looks like powermatic. I’m due to graduate to a big boy lathe myself. I use a small 10/18 lathe now.
My lathe is actually a harbor freight lathe that I repainted. I'm actually downgrading to a smaller lathe. I don't need anything that big. Happy turning!
Thank you David! The majority of what I find is pine, Douglas fir, and hemlock. But also I find maple, cedar, and alder. Recently I've run across some aspen and Pacific madrone. Thanks for watching!
No. What I was talking about was I wasn't putting a lot of effort into the amount of selling because of time and other obligations. That was a busy time in my life so I was just doing it a few hours a week.
I'm not sure what the problem is. I just played the video and I could only go half way with the volume or it was to loud. Maybe try watching from a different device.
Why is ur closed caption is different language other then English when hard of hearing have to turn the volume up to 60s becuz ur audio is very low. Can u plz put English on closed caption?
Dangerous to reach over a lathe like that brother...should stop that practice, its killed people. Thanks for sharing. Be safe. Just a thought...you could install a second on/off switch on the back side.
Very nice weed pot. Excellent suggestions for selling products. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂
Thank you Glen!
Appreciate you watching!

Thanks for sharing your ideas and work ,you do know the IRS scan over all this stuff .LOL .Greetings from Wales UK .
Thanks for watching!
Great work, I'm a woodturner as well. I like doing bowls, cause of the view of the grain you get. I might try to learn to do smaller stuff aswell.
I'm not a big fan of bowls. Spindle stuff is a lot of fun. Thanks for watching.
Watched for the 2nd time, great info.
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great Video
Thank you!
Appreciate you watching!

I love the live edge vases!!
Thank you Heather. Appreciate the kind words 🙏. Thanks for watching. Rus.
a lot of insight, thanks for sharing...
Thank you Ken 🙏.
Well done. This is a good looking vase. I assume you’re putting a test tube in to hold water for the florist?
Thank you. I'm doing something different. I'm using resin. I will talk about that in the 3rd video. Thanks for watching. Rc.
Great advice on selling products and I enjoy watching the videos. What type of tree branches do you mainly use?
Thank you David!

Thanks for the tips RC!
Enjoyed the video 👍
Thank for watching. I appreciate it 🙏.
Why do you turn from the back side of the lathe? Left handed?
Yes I'm left handed.
6:39 so you are saying that you aren’t making enough dollars per hour doing woodturning?
No. What I was talking about was I wasn't putting a lot of effort into the amount of selling because of time and other obligations. That was a busy time in my life so I was just doing it a few hours a week.
I can't turn this up loud enough to hear it

I added a switch awhile back so that won't be happening anymore. Thanks
