I love your reaction to this. The Poets will always surprise you and you never know what you'll get when you first listen to a song of theirs. Ballad? Hard Rock? Electro Pop? Indie Rock? A song you could use as a Bond Song? Sure! I hope you'll react to more of their work in the future so you can be surprised again.
It's funny that you said about videogames music. Poets Of The Fall also writes music for a videogames from a developer Remedy (Max Payne, Control, Alan Wake) as a pseudonym called Old Gods of Asgard. Although in games it's more on hard rock\metal side than this.
This song was in the game Control. Not sure if it was written for it, but at least the mv has a little bit of the feel of the game and... well, the red bakelite telephone without the rotary dial is straight from the game.
@@WhatIsAName8080They had another song in Control that takes place during the Ashtray Maze mission. That would be their "Old Gods Of Asgard" persona.
You should react to their song Requiem for My Harlequin next.
Duran Duran could only WISH they were this brilliant.
Duran Duran is good as well.
Videogames - maybe, he says. 😂 It was featured in Remedy’s Game ”Control” along with another heavy metal song entitled ”Take Control” performed by them as Old Gods of Asgard. In fact, the video features many elements from the game, like for instance that red phone and the green computer screens and the woman dressed up all businesslike is a nod to Jesse Faden, the main character of the game.
I keep seeing that game "Control" pop up whenever there's a big sale on PSN....is it a good game?
@@THEDavidHeretic It is a great game. Good gameplay, story is good too although being a bit weird.
@@THEDavidHereticif you are interested in it I would start with Alan Wake, the first one. Alan Wake, Control, and now Alan Wake 2 take place in the same world. They're amazing games that are on the creepier side. If you know anything about SCP you'll absolutely love the lore and world-building. If not be ready to enter a wild world. And, yes, I recommend the DLC for both Alan Wake and Control in order to get a more complete story, especially with the Control DLC directly tying in with Alan Wake.

Video games, yes. I feel in love with Poets of the Fall back in 2010 with Alan Wake. Where they had their own music, and their fictional counterpart's Old Gods of Asgard songs. And they've repeated that with Control, where this song has a cameo, and Alan Wake 2. They are an amazing band with great range, though this is probably my current favorite song of theirs in both Poets and Old Gods. So much of their stuff is really good and note worthy. I think just about any song you check out from them will be a good time.
I always thought it could be a Bond villain theme. Don't know why though.
thx david for the react !!!
Great reaction! Keep it up!
Poets of the Fall seems like a chill group in terms of content like this. You're PROBABLY fine. Never say never though, but it's likely the same situation with Falling In Reverse: they WANT the content out there. Starset doesn't mind because "SPREAD THE MESSAGE" is one of their credos, and FIR doesn't care because Ronnie Radke doesn't give one single shit.
Poets has better things to do than claim somebody's reaction videos.
There are many many really great song in different styles for progressive rock with this great band! You will have really great favourites later i think from them!.
I got a Muse, Simulation Theory era feel to this (without Matt’s vocals).
