I'm SOOO glad to know that you've learned God's Truth from Rabbi Singer, as have thousands of us, who have already left the false, pagan, man-made lies of Christianity - some of us after 40+ YEARS!! Continue listening to the teachings of the Orthodox Rabbis, as commanded by God in Deut. 17:8-11. When I was leaving Evangelical Christianity, I didn't believe what the Rabbis were saying at first, because of my decades of indoctrination by Christianity. But the more I listened to what the Rabbis were saying, the MORE sense the Hebrew Bible (Tanach) made, and the LESS sense the Christian Bible made - so eventually I had no choice but to leave the pagan falsehoods behind. That was 20+ years ago, and I haven't looked back!! May God continue to bless and guide you in your new beliefs!!
Man was created in the image of G-d. G-d does not want our sacrifices but a contrite heart. Therefore, we should only desire to repent in order to live in the image of G-d.
I would agree that contrition, repentance and restitution are important to seeking forgiveness of sin from God. Since God is omniscient does He not know if you are contrite? Does He not know that you will probably commit the same sin again and again? Does He not expect restitution? What can you restore to Him? IS God just? If He is then giving you mercy, rather than what you really deserve - How is that justice? Oh gee God, I'm sorry -- and He just let's it go by? Accountability is lost.
@@DIBBY40 It is not I that am seeking perfection. They show him to be absolute and eternal, omniscient, truth, justice, love, and righteous to such a degree all those that came into contact with his likeness were struck speechless, if not senseless... That same effect carries on into the New Testament record. I would suggest you seek knowledge of 'G-d's' righteousness before applying your frailty to attain it. You would find it impossible and will need to look to him as your Saviour.
♦️ To believe in him Messiah, who was a man and not God, is to believe in the Word of God, the same word that Abraham believed and was justified (Genesis 15:6)(Habakkuk 2:4) ...that is why he is called the word of God Manifested in Flesh, because he did his perfect will (since he Messiah would possess the Fullness of God, his 7 spirits/eyes as Isaiah and Zechariah said) that is why we must believe in the light that made the Messiah known, to reconcile us with the word of God, writing the spirit of Life the Law in the Heart and forgiving the sins as the New Covenant says, which is the Covenant he brought....we are not saved by his death, but by Faith in the Light that he manifested in his life and death, the Word of God, which sinful men must repent and follow...in the Days of John the Baptist there were the Pharisees, who spoke of the word, but they did not, because it was only on tablets of stone (Old Covenant) and not in the Heart through Faith (New Covenant). If we truly love God, we must have his word in our heart, so that we may be 1 in spirit with God and do his will...and if we reject the Messiah, we therefore reject the word, and God who sent him. We must worship and serve the only God, the God of Abraham, as Yeshua HaMashiach the man said, not him, but believe in the word of God that he made known, and follow in his footsteps.
@hiram1271 that was very well said. I have been trying to get people to stop arguing about everything that everyone else said in the New Testament. The words of Yeshua/Jesus are divine words from God. Everything else in the New Testament is more like the Talmud. As in it is a collection of different peoples interpretations of what they saw and heard. Which is to help us understand Yeshua/Jesus's message. The same way the Talmud is not divine but was a collection of interpretations by the Jewish Rabbis to help people interpret and understand the Tanakh.
You would do well to read Hyam Maccoby's book THE MYTH-MAKER Paul and the Invention of Christianity. May the only True G-d enlighten your mind and heart. Shalom
One time Jesus said you will do greater works than I do. He was not claiming to be God. Jesus never said there is vicarious atonement, or human sacrifice. God is everyone's father, above all the Jewish people. I really appreciate Rabbi Tovia Singer. I love these teachings (like this one) so clear.
John the Baptist said. Repent for the forgiveness of sins. Why would someone need to die to accomplish the same thing? It's ALWAYS been repentance for sins.
RoseSharon with all Rabbi Singer's knowledge he makes the same mistake Christians make thinking reality orbits around just us humans. How one dimensional and myopic. Yet we known OT Tanakh teaches about the Divine Council and Heavenly Host. We know there's a accuser, a Satan. The work of Christ my Lord and Savior was not a singular mission. He accomplished what had to be accomplished defeating The Satan and taking away any dibs he had on humanity so to speak. But doing so in the witness of The Divine Council and Heavenly Host. Our Lord accomplished what he alone could accomplish. Unfortunately there's much more to the story of reality, The Unseen Realm, The Divine and Human Beings. I honestly feel bad for Rabbi Singer. He is missing our Lord and Savior
Your so call Messiah didn't fulfil any of the prophecies they twist fromthe Old Testament. Furthermore, we only have second hand accounts written by anonymous sources. Except Paul who never met Jesus. He only saw an hallucination. Many of the New Testament books are forgeries not written by the people Christians claim they are. Many of the New Testament books contradict each other. No sources outside the Bible collaborate the so called resurrection of Jesus or his so called miracles. Oh, and please don't waste my time bringing up Josephus. That's a forgery. The other quotes from Pagan authors are just people reporting on what Christians believe.

I'm not gonna say the Roman empire sent him to theologically combat the rebellion they were struggling to control, but Paul - a Herodian kinsman - did come at a pretty specific time (from Tarsus of all places) with a message of peace and love. Something like scales fell from my eyes (as Paul 😅), Rabbi Tovias' Torah teachings cause me to understand the way of Hashem's precepts and ways. Now, where in the Tanakh the baptism is mention to be required?
What about this scripture (Numbers 5:5-8)? 5The Lord then spoke to Moses saying: Tell the children of Israel: When a man or woman commits any of the sins against man to act treacherously against God, and that person is [found] guilty, they shall confess the sin they committed, and make restitution for the principal amount of his guilt, add its fifth to it, and give it to the one against whom he was guilty. But if the man has no kinsman to whom to make restitution, the debt which is restored to the Lord, [is to be given] to the kohen. [This is] besides the atonement ram through which expiation is made for him. Confession is made. Restitution is made. What is the purpose of the atonement ram?
I'm a big follower of Jesus. And it seems pretty clear that anyone can be saved without Jesus. He actually says that entrance to the kingdom is mainly dependent on two things. Love God with all your heart, mind and love (treat) your neighbor as yourself. Think everybody on the planet, regardless of religion, is capable of doing both. Capable. But willing? Appears plenty of Christians aren't. But also Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, etc. too. Maybe what team you play for isn't as important as how you play on the field?
Are you a follower of Jesus? Help me understand what Jesus meant when He said this. John 14:5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7If you had known me; you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” Luke a gentile and physician who gave us the third gospel and also the book of Acts made this statement: Acts 4:11This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. 12And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Did Jesus actually say the entrance to the kingdom is mainly dependent on two things or was He saying these are the greatest two commandments. Mark 12:29Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. 31And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” 32So the scribe said to Him, “Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He. 33And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.” 34Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” But after that no one dared question Him. Rabbi Tovia Singer is a wonderful man that I greatly admire but the Lord has not yet revealed Himself to the Rabbi. As a follower of Jesus, I am praying that this happens soon because the Door of Grace is slowly closing. You seem to think everybody on the planet regardless of religion is capable of standing before God and that is just not true. Even the Rabbi would agree. Loving God and our neighbor does not and cannot remove the penalty of sin that we all have. God has provided that payment through the shed blood of His Son. Our faith in Him alone is the only way we will ever see God. Those are not my words they are the words of Jesus. He is about to return for His people, the time of the gentiles is over. What began in May of 1948 has come full circle and we are the generation to see God fulfill His promise to Israel. What a time to be alive! God Bless
See what Christians don’t catch is that sacrifice was purely for keeping the holy place ritually clean. It has nothing to do with sins. Certain acts cause impurity (even natural occurrences like childbirth) and sacrifice is used to ultimately cleanse the impurity. Think of the blood like some sort of detergent. This was well attested in the ancient world. Therefore, Christianity completely mixed up the understanding of sacrifice vs repentance.
Messiah is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. God foreknew and foresaw the blood lust of mankind to slaughter the fruit of his own "tree". Messiah had to shed his blood to atone, He is the Law.

Rabbi Singer, I’d be interested to see a video (if you haven’t done it already) on Paul’s assertion that human beings are vile creatures and that even our most righteous deeds are all worthless (more specifically menstrual rags) in God’s eyes. This seems contradictory to Jewish ideas on mitzvot conducted through Torah observance or the Noahide laws. Hope you will consider.
R Singer addresses that christian idea many many times. Just watch more of his videos for that. I am thinking if one great video where he answers a question of a catholic priest if you can find that
Anyone who gives food and drink to the poor and orphans at his table merits that if he will need to call out to God, then God will answer him, and he will derive pleasure from Him - as it is stated, "Surely you should slice a piece of your bread for the hungry, and bring the moaning poor to your home ... Then you will call and God will respond; you will cry out and He will say, 'Here I am.' "
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy (MENSTRAL) rags ; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Thank you for your great explanation. That whole story of the blood atonement has always struck me as barbaric and unconvincing, in addition to being an example in circular reasoning. Your words are much more humane and sensible.

As often Tovia Singer only speaks half-truths. Once a year on Yom Kippur a high priest had to offer animal sacrifice for all sins of Israelites (Leviticus 16th chapter). For on this day He shall effect atonement for you to cleanse you. Before the Lord, you shall be cleansed from all your sins (Lev. 16:30). All sins means unintentional and intentional. Every year, year after year, this atonement had to be made, showing it was never completed. In contrast, Jesus provided a finished work: For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another; He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. (Heb_9:24-28)
I cannot imagine a world where sacrifice atones for sins. I mean, if someone wronged me and then said, well, I killed my cat so we're good, right? I'd think -- I think rightly -- that they were a psychopath.
It's not sacrifice that atones for sins. It is God willing to bear the injury of our sins against Him that even allows for the expiation of the offense, much less atonement. If someone wronged you, then you will have to bear the injury of that wrong against you in order to forgive it and at the same time be just in that action. Sacrificing an innocent third party expecting that to absolve you doesn't work! The one sinned against must provide the forgiveness. My Jewish brothers seem to think that Jesus was just some third party to the transaction of forgiveness from God . If they could understand that it is Jesus who is sinned against and bears the injury of that sin then they could understand that it is HIS forgiveness given by grace that solves the problem.

How do you tell someone who adamantly believes in the idol and the blood, and faith and grace. My dear friend is so deeply programmed by her family and the church.
That's good, but we Jews know better. We are the experts on the Hebrew text. So your belief is valid for you but allow others to make their own decisions. If you do that you are golden.
If you want to disqualify Jews from receiving forgiveness because we no longer have the Temple in which to bring a sacrifice. Well, sorry to tell you this, but by the same token no Christian can gain forgiveness today because Jesus is no longer alive. He died for your sins, well that's it he died and therefore the effectiveness ended there. Don't like it? Stop bringing this ridiculous claim that Jews cannot gain forgiveness. Actually the Jewish people gain a greater level of forgiveness because they go directly to God, not through any intermediary. So, once again the Christian ends up second best.🥺
You forgot that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and He's sitted at right hand of God. The power to forgive sins has been given to Him. Because of the work of Christ on the cross our lives are in Him and through Him we can have all things pertaining to salvation. If you miss out on what the Messiah came to do first you won't qualify for His second coming. The first have become the last and the last the first. We Christians have entered the Kingdom first and you last cause if your hardened hearts.
@@mimiayoo3921 I don't understand this resurrection business. There is a much more logical explanation, and it fits historically, culturally and does not have to rely on a miracle. Jesus was a Jew. All his disciples were Jews, the people he was 'ministering' to were Jews. Basically a Jewish millieu. After he died there is a Jewish custom that a body is not allowed to be left overnight, but must be buried straightaway. After placing his body wherever his disciples decided to do so, someone whose conscience got the better of them, one of his disciples or another person organised to take his body and give it a proper Jewish burial as befits every Jew. Simple, no complicated miracles, and btw, there is no record, verse or hint in the Hebrew Bible to suggest anything about rising, or resurrection on the third day! It's not rocket science!!!
@@mimiayoo3921 You want, I can forgive you. But to suggest that God gave him some divine power to do so. I don't think so. That is not a very loving God. The word for sacrifice in Hebrew is korban which means coming close. This is the purpose of sacrifices. Coming closer to God. When one sees a sacrifice being killed and realizes this should be him, he repents. Sacrifices are a means to an end and the end is repenting. Sacrifices are NEVER EVER the end and never the goal. The goal is ALWAYS changing your ways and repenting and obeying God. We don't need sacrifices but they are a tool to help us achieve our ultimate goal. Christianity believes this goal is impossible since we CAN'T be good in God's eyes and therefore changing is futile and not possible. This obviously is antithetical to the entire Tanach but they have to go along with this theology in order to justify Jesus and vicarious atonement.

If a Gentile observes any of the Jewish commandments from the Torah as a religious obligation (even if he does so from a desire to receive a spiritual reward), this is forbidden based on the prohibition of adding a commandment, and there is no spiritual reward to be derived from this.

You are correct. And there's more. Unfortunately Rabbi Singer with all that immense knowledge misses so much about why Christ came. #1) Go back to Job. You find a challenge against God(Hashem) on humanity by the Satan. After Christ's work and atonement he defeated the Satan giving God(Yahweh/Hashem/Yeshua) dibs on humanity past present future. #2) Christ's life work and teaching presents God more personally to humanity so there's no mistake. Dear Rabbi SInger. I am looking at Psalm 51:4 where David says: "Against thee, thee only, have I sinned and done this evil in thy sight." Please correct me if I am in error, but this statement seems to indicate that the sins that he committed were intentional on his part and that while they were actually committed against other human beings bringing injury upon them, they were in essence sins against God. He is asking God for mercy and cleansing. I think what is in view here is the "principle" behind "forgiveness." It seems to me that forgiveness implies that the one sinned against bear the injury of the sin committed against him. For instance, if someone commits a sin against you by which you suffer some injury and they come to you for forgiveness, does that not mean that you must bear the injury if you truly want to forgive it? Does not this same principle operate with God? In other words, if sin IS as David proclaims against God only - How is God injured thereby? Forgiveness is not simply mercy. If He cannot be injured, how can He forgive? It would seem that God just doesn't sustain any injury thereby His forgiveness is just a sham. I believe that you must consider and believe that sin - any sin is of infinite dis-value for you personally in the eyes of God. It seems that perhaps you don't think sin is that bad? Please advise. thank you.
Forgiveness can be felt when you recollect every scene of your sin and repent. It is indeed a physical and emotional experience. Throwing yourself in water or assuming a sacrifice washing away stains is not practical at all. Ignore heart, engage brains. Todays world is full of political propoganda, it was the same before. Only the word of Father is something that wont change.
Why did Hashem give Adam and Eve animal skins to wear, after they sinned, when they were already clothed in vegetation? Why did Hashem command Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac and then provide a lamb? Why did Hashem give Moses the commandments of sacrifice or did Moses just make them up? Why were sacrifices necessary and made at the temple? Why was blood atonement necessary? What has changed since then? Did Hashem change his mind? Have we become sinless? Does one scripture or scriptures nullify another or does the Tanakh have contradictions? If one commits a crime does repentance absolve him of the crime or is judgment and sentencing to be expected?

Salvation for me felt like I was sucked through a banking systems pneumatic tube by vacuum force. Dark tunnel motion sensor lights, trumpet like voice that said "my code is forever" I never seen anyone but the lights illuminating as I passed them. Then I was back to my physical body with an image of a man "just a conscous memory" setting at a desk in a room illuminated with no shadows but well defined. It was like everything was lit like firefly's self illuminating walls, floors, the man. I was baptized as a child, never attended church as a teenager or adult though. I was saved when I was 37 years old. Your guess is as good as mine why I was saved. But my soul was certainly deposited into an account. I was conscious during the experience so I know from a subjective experience it happened. I would label it as a traumatic experience that shocked me into waking up to reality, in profoundly new ways. That's why anyone who says salvation is just some type of acknowledgment or I accept this gospel or that gospel I'm saved. I sure hope so, for me it was more than just an, I'm saved. Was is referring to a previous domain, is referring to present domain, and is to come is the future domain. That's the Lord God Almighty, who is, was and is to come. I think that's how it works.
He saved me! His last words on the cross before he died was; - it is finished. That is what Jesus supernaturally spoke to me ten years ago when I, through my own efforts tried to become holy and righteous before God. Man was created in the image of G-d. G-d does not want our sacrifices but a contrite heart. Therefore, we should only desire to repent in order to live in the image of G-d.
Repentance is good. You still have unatoned for sins and crimes.

John 8:44 shows his love.
@@hrvatskinoahid1048 John 8.44 proves Messiah is the Way and the Truth. Esau is not Jacob-Israel. But he wants to be.
From now on you do know him and have seen him.”
Luke a gentile and physician who gave us the third gospel and also the book of Acts made this statement:
Acts 4:11This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. 12And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Did Jesus actually say the entrance to the kingdom is mainly dependent on two things or was He saying these are the greatest two commandments.
31And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
32So the scribe said to Him, “Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He. 33And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
34Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.”
But after that no one dared question Him.
God Bless
@@chriscurtis1578 you have been bewitched.
Hi,Rabbi Singer , kindly explain how will the law be changed DANIEL 7:25
Have you read about sacrifices for sin offerings in Leviticus? It is literally right there. You are misrepresenting the Creator's word.

You are right ❤
Rabbi Singer, I’d be interested to see a video (if you haven’t done it already) on Paul’s assertion that human beings are vile creatures and that even our most righteous deeds are all worthless (more specifically menstrual rags) in God’s eyes. This seems contradictory to Jewish ideas on mitzvot conducted through Torah observance or the Noahide laws. Hope you will consider.
He has talked about it often. Don't remember the title but I've heard him discuss it on tanakh talk also
R Singer addresses that christian idea many many times.
By any chance, do you happen to remember if he mentions that particular verse I am referring to (Is. 64)?
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy (MENSTRAL) rags ; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
B"H and thank you Rabbi. The question is how we can know and avoid messianic jewish?
Toda, toda, toda dear Rabbi. Thank you dear William. I'm so grateful that Ha'Shem lifted the veil from your old programming
Thank you for your great explanation. That whole story of the blood atonement has always struck me as barbaric and unconvincing, in addition to being an example in circular reasoning. Your words are much more humane and sensible.
Thank you!!!

I believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and the Son of God. I won't be deterred to believe anything else. Jesus I trust in Jesus is my lord and Savior.
That's good, but we Jews know better. We are the experts on the Hebrew text. So your belief is valid for you but allow others to make their own decisions. If you do that you are golden.
One thing I realize is to be forgiven you must forgive others for their sins.
Yeah, why is a mediator necessary, just a made up layer to distance people from god

Every parent wants their children to grow up into responsible adults, taking away responsibility for one's actions is counter productive. This is what you are saying if you say Jesus died for our sins. No, more likely, he died for his own sins, just like the rest of us.
@@mimiayoo3921 2nd Coming? Where does this come from. Not the Bible, that's for sure. The messiah is supposed to live not die. God wants us all to live not die. Dying is counterproductive to His plan for us in this world.
So what is the significannce of Leviticus 16? You just almost said Moses wasted the time of all Jews with those plenty sacrifices and ordinances? any explanation please ? or a video that explains leviticus 16 in the context of forgiveness of sins . Thanks

Do I need to keep Shabat and learn Tora as a Ben-Noach ?
Rabbi Mosche Ben Maimon wrote that those things are only for Jewish or Gentile converts to keep.
I wanted to keep the Shabat but he wrote if I don't keep it according to the Law it means death.
Can someone please explain please.

Exodus 15:2 [2]"The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will praise Him; My father's God, and I will extol Him. 1 Samuel 2:1 [1]Then Hannah prayed and said, "My heart exults in the Lord; My horn is exalted in the Lord, My mouth speaks boldly against my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation. 2 Samuel 22:3 [3]My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; My savior, You save me from violence. 2 Samuel 22:36 [36]"You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, And Your help makes me great. 2 Samuel 22:47 [47]"The Lord lives, and blessed be my rock; And exalted be God, the rock of my salvation, 2 Samuel 23:5 [5]"Truly is not my house so with God? For He has made an everlasting covenant with me, Ordered in all things, and secured; For all my salvation and all my desire, Will He not indeed make it grow? 1 Chronicles 16:23 [23]Sing to the Lord, all the earth; Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day. Psalms 13:5 [5]But I have trusted in Your lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. Psalms 18:2 [2]The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalms 18:35 [35]You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, And Your right hand upholds me; And Your gentleness makes me great. Psalms 27:1 [1]The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?

Please advise. thank you.
God's Divine Presence in the world, the Shechinah, experiences suffering.

Throwing yourself in water or assuming a sacrifice washing away stains is not practical at all.

There is no place in the Hebrew Bible that says that only blood can be used to gain forgiveness for sins from God.
What Hebrew Bible do you read? Obviously not the Torah.

Silly question but is the Hebrew bible and Old Testament in the Christian bible exactly the same it hasn’t been altered?
The Old Testament is a non-Jewish mistranslation.
There have been countless times that we have seen that the Christian Old Testament mistranslated the Hebrew of the Chumash (Jewish bible/old testament). I would suggest using the Hebrew bible for translation if you don't know Hebrew. Usually Artscroll Stone Chumash/Tanach is pretty good.
