My husband and I had a kosher conversion 19 years ago. We made Aliyah almost 8 years ago and moved to the north of Israel (7 miles from the Lebanon border) We love our life! Becoming a part of the Jewish nation has had, and has many challenges for us due to the threat from the North. However, becoming a part of the Jewish nation is the greatest accomplishment of my life and the greatest honor and privilege. After October 7 friends and family asked us if we are coming back to America. We'll never leave. We're not going anywhere. Our fate is with the Jewish people.
Converting to me is just coming back home. As a marano whose family assimilated in order to stay alive brings so much joy to my life . Best decision I ever made

It’s because of Rabbi Tovia Singer that my family & I are converting. We just finished moving closer to our synagogue. We put our children in a Jewish school & I also work at the school. We absolutely love it! BH I finally feel at home
@@tgr5772 G’d is the center of our lives! The first thing we do in the morning, even before we get out of bed, we thank Him. All day long, we thank G’d and praise Him for even the tiniest thing. The men pray for hours most days (ideally, every day); we ladies pray as much as we can manage, but we usually cannot pray as much as the men when we have children and with the duties of running a Kosher home, which is, itself, a service to G’d. Studying the Torah is all about learning of G’d and how He wishes us to live. Praying Psalms and reading the Proverbs are very important to me personally. Of course, when we aren’t praising and thanking G’d and studying His Torah, we are doing acts of lovingkindness to our fellow humans.
Love this. Have had an intense curiosity about Judaism for the last 7 years. Rabbi Singer’s videos are like a fresh breath of air since finding out about him about 4 months ago. Very grateful for the work he does. God bless him & all of Israel!
That was a very clear picture of a an Orthodox Jewish conversion. What you covered in 39 minutes took me 5 or 6 years to figure out. Thank you so much Rabbi Tovia. I like the positive energy that comes from you.
This is such a great message to get out as their is so much false information out there on conversion or lack of it. Thank you, Rabbi Singer. May HaShem continue blessing you in good health, wisdom, and endurance to speading His word of truth.

My both parents left the christian church before I was born. Jews taught us who God really is and we learnt how to perform prayer for Israel, communal living, having 1 day of rest a week, building and sharing wealth during a crisis. The Netherlands is becoming a very sensitive and knowledgable country, that's a blessing in itself. If you are not scared of sin and you are embracing godliness miracles will happen. Now I am hoping He will grant me aliyah. But I know His plan is good and the world will respect his country again. I'm Jamaican and I want to convert Judaism. I Walked out of SDA Church in 2017 and I need know the truth and nothing but truth...blessings always to you and your family.
Do you still live in Jamaica? I live in the West Indies and I have left Christianity too, and become a Noahide. I've been wondering if they’re others in the West Indies like me. People here are immersed in Christianity and that's all they know.
Teenagers are a problem?? Oh wow, I walked into a shul when I was seventeen after figuring out that the Torah is true and the Jewish people are the am Nivchar. Well, I noticed. People were not friendly (except for one chap who actually helped me throughout the service). People almost but ignored me. But from that first Shabbos on, I went faithfully to shul and slowely but surely people became more convinced that it was not a passing phase. But it was hard!! I felt like a pariah, a nobody. HaKodesh Boruch Hu gave a tremendous strength! Four years later I finally made it to the Mikveh, I was already in Israel then. But it was absolute hardship. Not being able have Jewish friends (when I was in Europe) because I was not like them, and not being able to have non-Jewish friends (the differences became to big). Now I am already Jewish for 23 years and never for a moment regretted it. Life is not easy, but it is fulfilling. Boruch Hashem. Shanah Toivah u Metukah to everyone!
You are a true hero. I cannot express what an amazing thing you have done. I am sorry that people were not more receptive. Every place is different. I hope you find the right one for you.
By now I have found the right place. I already have 8 children of which two are ר"ל OTD. We all try to serve Hashem Yisborach in the ultimate way that we can. May He give us Hatzlachah in that in the coming year Habo aleynu leToivah omen.
Thank you Rav. This is an amazing first-hand source of information regarding the process. May my family and I be blessed with joining the nation and faith of Israel.
Shalom, I'm an American from Texas who lives in Eastern Mindanao... My wife and I are searching for an assembly of the Jewish faith that is not messianic... does anyone know of such an assembly?
Thank you so much Rabbi, for explaining all of these things. There are way more people out there than you can imagine who long to convert. For the sincere, I see the biggest obstacle is finding a Jewish community and a home within walking distance of a synagogue. Affordability is a factor there since it means finding employment in the area too.
Thank you, Rabbi, for the wonderful message. I come from a hindu background and converted to xtianity and about 5 years ago, I was exposed to Judaism and Torah. I left xtianity.Since then, I have been learning the Torah and been observing the jewish holidays and am trying to rest on Shabbat to learn the Torah and follow the Rabbis teachings. You have been an inspiration to me for a long time. I love your teachings, and your knowledge of the New Testament is really amazing. You remember them by heart and am able to explain everything in detail. May Hashem bless your dad with speedy recovery and wish you a healthy life and Shalom. May Hashem keep you and yours. B'H. ❤
As a college student considering conversion, I needed to hear this. First thing Monday I'll ask my Jewish classmate if I may join her to attend the Synagogue next Shabbat
Toda Rabbi Baruch Hashem, This is awesome for sharing such insightful, informative, engaging process of Judaism ✡️ conversion as a former Christian, I m still praying to G- d of Israel. Yom Tov
I Could not read the new testament for 3 years now. When I became a Christian in 1983, I fell in love with the bible. I began reading thru every year. I fell in love with God almighty. I appreciated that through christianity I fell in love with my Heavenly Father. I went to church regularly and when I got baptized with the Holy Spirit a hot heat went through me and a shalom hit me that I didn't want to ever lose. I prayed to never lose that. I never knew what real pace was. I was always attracted to Jewish people and had a friend that told me I could ask a rabbi three times he would show me how to convert. Anyway, I have always prayed to your God to be taught how to keep all His feasts. I had to wait till my husband came into this faith. Christianity never worked for him. I started reading the Tanakh through last year and this is what I do daily. I I love Ez 20 that says He will bring us into the wilderness and contend with us there. Separate the rebellious from the ones that truly love Him. Only those will go into His land and there He will receive our offerings. Right now I am in Leviticus, 1 Samuel, and Psalms. I read 2 chapters of the Torah, 2 of the Prophets and 2 of the writings. Leviticus . I kept the Feast of the Tabernacle a few years ago with my son, cause he loves Hashem the way I do. We have longing to go and live in Israel. The last day of sleeping out side inn a tent. The llast day was unforgettable. We woke up in the morning and there was a shalom and peace all over North Hollywood, CA, my daughter in law was late for work. My son and I took her too school my grand daughter. There were noo cars anywhere. This is before covid. The haze or mist was every. I believe when you take the time to honor Him by keeping one or every feast like we should. You get to see His glory. I just finished reading where Aaron and his sons were separated and dedicated to Hashem. Then after the week dedication. They offered up the offering the next day like Moses told Aaron to. Moses had spoke to the people what was about to happen the day before that they would see Hashems glory. When they did they fell on their face and sang to Him. My mother took the time too do a genealogy she said that my father lineage was Levite. It didn't mean anything to me till I was baptized with the Holy Spirit. It was the old testament that made me fall in love with Elohim. I always apologized to Him about the sacrament. I will continue praying to the God of Israel.
Thank you Rabbi Tovia. I think it would be amazing to convert. Today I am just happy to be free of Christianity and all of its tenant ritual, idolatry and heresy.
Thank you, Rabbi Singer, for this topic. I once asked the question "why do Jews not accept Jesus as the Messiah" and your video that answered this question popped up. As I watched then read I was released from the slavery of Xtianity. Right away I wanted to 'convert' to the faith and the nation because I was in a state of euphoria in my newly discovered freedom, instead I have spent the past few years listening to online Rabbi teach and speak, including you of course, and came to understand that I don't NEED to convert that it's just fine for me to stay a Noach and I can still learn what Hashem wants of me as one of his creations... leading me to make a choice, with free will, to follow the 7 laws of the covenant of Noah... you are helping so many people turn toward Hashem and away from idolatry. If I live long enough I may consider conversion, which requires me to move from my home, and I'm an age what makes this difficult but who knows what HE has in store... for now I learn and walk in freedom from xitanity/idolatry.
I can’t wait to watch this! I’ve often wondered if I should convert. Needless to say, I wish I was more connected to the community. I don’t know how to achieve the same sense of community as before, especially in these rough times.
Just because you want to convert doesn’t mean you will be able to. The beit din has to approve your application. My application was denied with a “it’s final”. I believe final means done. So doesn’t matter how much I want to convert and reside in Israel. I’m not allowed.
Jews are judged harshest on Judgment Day, a prime reason for discouragement of conversion: it's especially hard training for an adult as opposed to a kid, just like Jedi 🌌 God seems to want a miniscule number of Jews ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Serms to be a part of His Experiment here on Earth🌎🌌 God is happy if we believe in and respect Judaism and Jews, follow the moral philosophies of the Torah, and leave the religious rules to the Jews But bro if you feel a calling then you feel a calling📞 Many happy happy converts have no regrets 🇮🇱
@@dailysmelly9756 no explanation given by the beit din. And I don’t have baggage, mental illness, big sins, idol worship, & not converting for marriage. It’s just me thats converting. I have no spouse or children. So I don’t understand why they said “it’s final”. This is definitely a question I will ask Hashem when I’m in the next life.

Todah Rabbi Singer! I decided to attend Temple before converting and I started attending Temple back in January of this year. I stopped practicing Roman Catholicism back in early November of last year. I will be attending my seventh Introduction to Judaism class and I love it and I have also studied the Hebrew alphabet and now I am studying Hebrew words and grammar. I am more at peace than I have ever been since I left the Catholic faith. There's a lot of deception in the Catholic faith. GOD is not first with Catholics unless you put Jesus and Mary In there then then GOD exists.
How is it possible that I lived among jewish friends for 17 years, loving them, them loving me, and NEVER the conversation came up of giving me an opportunity to express all my feelings and questions. My jewish friends were lovely, but very very private in their faith. I felt that asking could be intrusive or offensive bc they were very private. Now Im 60 and have to find where I can get Jewish instructions to start my process to Judaism. I moved to Lake County in Florida and there is no Jewish synagogue. Im so sad of not knowing that I needed to buy a house close to a synagogue.😭😭. But, adding all things inconveniences, I cannot turn back. Once you see the lies I was taught in Christianity, you can’t unsee it

Beautiful background, watching the sunset in the super clean square of your taping. Must admit, first time I heard anyone speaking of conversion to Judaism publicly. I could see/hear the spirit in your tone and radiant face, confirming your beliefs.I think Rabbi, this approach is more noble than bashing others. That is conversion. Let people feel what you feel.
😂 I did everything the Rabbi said not to do. I called, told the Synagogue I was coming, showed up, was checked by security, and told the security guard I was there to convert. They were nice and let me go there for a while. I moved within walking distance but I think they were worried I was one of those undercover Christians and since I'm a single woman, that made things worse. People stopped talking to me and I felt alone. I still live in the Jewish community but do all my study online. If I can find a husband willing to convert with me, I might fit in better. Not so easy to do. If I'm meant to convert, Moshiach won't come until I'm finished. If my conversion is not necessary for G-d's plan, I won't convert. Thanks for sharing the advice Rabbi. To anyone else in America, I started attending shul prior to October 7th and security was heavy (big armed guards with desert eagles). No doubt it is heavier now. Don't wear layers and don't bring your purse.

Wow, I'm sorry it has been this difficult for you. I am Jewish from birth, so I have not directly experienced conversion, although my best friend growing up was a son of converts in a community that practically does not accept converts. In the end, the aim of a Jew is still accessible to you: serving G-d while He is hidden from you is actually the only way to learn to truly serve G-d. It is the same challenge for me. If you do what is right, everything will be truly be good. Don't worry.
@Amhanetsach All the other people I know who tried converting went back to Jesus. Which makes me think they probably weren't good candidates for conversion. My mind is prone to wander towards Atheism. I just can't believe that a man was sealed behind a tomb by Romans and those very same Romans didn't just move the body. And then all the people thinking they saw a totally different man. That just looks like an elaborate ruse by Rome to cause division amongst the Jewish people, and then it got out of hand when Constantine converted and Christianity took over the Roman Empire.
I am so glad you are talking about this! I converted in 2004. I would myself council non Jews to reconsider. They have no idea what they would be truly under taking!
I tell my conversion candidates, "What do you need this for? It's very difficult. You can't eat all those nice foods at a hotel breakfast, there's no electronics every Shabbat and sometimes you have 3-days in a row with no telephone or any electronics. What do you need this for when you're fine as a righteous gentile?" Also you will be viewed as strange by your own family, not to mention the social and work-life challenges. It sounds like you found that out over time.

Don't listen to that character. You don't apply to any beit din. Your sponsoring Rabbi decides which beit din once he determines your readiness... which in itself will take a long time because he has to actually get to know you, the person you truly are, and how you handle decision making and to just basically know your character. Very interesting! I've been surrounded by Christians my whole life, and what your describing is ... quite different. This is a topic I've been curious about, but this point of view has never occurred to me.
Comment on the last few points that were made about people who have Jewish roots who do not think they're Jewish. When I went to school (secular public school) during the '60s, this was only a few decades away from the European horrors of the '40s. Many of my schoolmates had Jewish surnames. A good number of them had no idea that they were Jewish, and their parents actually did not want them to know they were Jewish. There's more to that story. When my schoolmates with the Jewish names saw my eating matzah during certain times of the year, or not being at school during certain times of the year, and hearing my explanations regarding that; and my inquiring if they were Jewish, the discussion got to the point which, several of the parents of these schoolmates came to me and to my parents, insisting that I not talk to these schoolmates about anything Jewish. It was a strange, and bizarre for me as a pre-teen to experience this as well as distressing for me to see how these parents thought they were raising their children in such a manner. They were clearly terrified and it was very clear that they thought they were only doing what was best for their children. A few of them just moved out of the neighborhood eventually. The point is, out of dread, many folks who are completely Jewish are running around without any notion about their nation, about their identities. Thanks for the content. Keep up the good work. בס'ד

I had a Christian friend desert me, too. I didn't know how bad it was until....this would lead to a huge story, really, but basically... Oh, never mind. Just know you're not the only one. How creepy Christians can be, if your problem isn't something like cancer, or M.S., right? I'm going to write something here, below, for Rabbi Singer, because I don't want it glaring at me, or anyone else. If he's meant to find it, I suppose he will. Hope you don't mind. Hope you find what you need/ want, through Rabbi Singer.
Dear Rabbi Singer ( if you should find this), Someone in my mind talks to me a lot, all the time. It'd be nice to say it's God, but usually it's someone trying to help me through all this hypnotic noise torture that San Antonians love to dish out. As I was putting my things in the dryer (this is when more subject-y things are mentioned), she was saying that if I really don't want to watch more of your "Let's Get Biblical" things that were filmed at the synagogue, or just read or listen to it, I might mention some nice things to you, like I come to these TH-cam things because you're a good speaker, & it's easier to watch these TH-cam things with Wil'Liam, where we can see your face better, than far away presentations ( very, very light), where it seems less personal. She was prompting me to go over this little message, & she may have reminded me of the little party, or something, that you passed when you arrived at the synagogue. I honestly think she had me think that it might be an Easter celebration, so I threw that into the message in my head, as I loaded the dryer, & it was sort of funny when she reminded me, "It wouldn't have been Easter". I thought that was pretty funny. I hope it doesn't bother you. Maybe she's just letting me know that I might miss Easter ( all those things with eggs & bunnies. One year, my mom actually gave us baby chicks, weirdly. My sister was dating a guy named Greg, so hers became Gregory Peck. I have no idea what mine was named). Anyway, the point to this message, really---- which I'm not sure I can pull off, is to ask you if you might do a re-make of the "Let's Get Biblical" presentations, with Wil'Liam, the reason being, in all honesty, that the warm, rich background colors, with Wil'Liam's little injections here & there, are probably better suited to those of us who need a face before us. It could be, "Let's Get Biblical, for Christians", or something like that. There are movie remakes, so why not a Rabbi Tovia remake of those lectures? I even remember you saying something about the human face being important, for conversation, or something. Anyway, if you aren't about to do it, I won't be too upset. The hypnotist walking me through what the torturers did, & do, put me up to it.😊 But, it would be nice, & it might even save more than a few idolaters. Either way, thanks.
Isaiah 56:6 "Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer"

I was born Jewish in the United States- We were ashkenazi conservative Jews and we didn’t keep kosher. It was a choice. My synagogue was conservative and our Rabbi David Artz is a conservative Rabbi. My brothers were bar mitzvahed They never Bat Mitzvahed girls in the. 1950’s because they felt it was for boys. However we had a wonderful group and we were close like family. I know all the rules in Judaism. We celebrated all the holidays. And went to temple every Friday before Sundown. Do you consider conservative Jews not real Jews because we are not ORTHODOX?
My thoughts exactly. In my Conservative synagogue, the actively participating membership is at least 1/4 converts. I had months of study, a Bet Din, and was in a mikvah. Hashem knows I am Jewish.
Start with Teshuva, then a Mitzvah, but when you're doing this start respecting Shabbath, and learn Torah. Specially during Shabbath. Don't convert yet, just live it for a couple of years.

Thanks!
Shana tova!
Dayan Singer,May HaShem bless you with what he knows you need the most in his Eyes.
Thinking about conversion makes me feel like coming home. Like I come home to my family after a long journey abroad.

Not so easy to do. If I'm meant to convert, Moshiach won't come until I'm finished. If my conversion is not necessary for G-d's plan, I won't convert. Thanks for sharing the advice Rabbi.

I'm going to write something here, below, for Rabbi Singer, because I don't want it glaring at me, or anyone else. If he's meant to find it, I suppose he will. Hope you don't mind.
Hope you find what you need/ want, through Rabbi Singer.
Dear Rabbi Singer ( if you should find this),
Someone in my mind talks to me a lot, all the time.

Excellent suggestions.
I want too go all the way
Yes, thanks Hashem I’m starting Torah clases to conversion
😭😭😭😭😭
Do the application with the beit din first to know if you will be accepted.
@@TorahisthetruthPsalms why they didnt accept you
@@Lorenzo_1571 nope my application was denied with a letter stating “it’s final”. And they won’t give any explanation as to why.
@@TorahisthetruthPsalms those who denied you are called "gate keepers" ,, study Kabbalah and you will see that they can be bypassed with the proper spiritual knowledge/development on your part. . gatekeepers are a necessary evil put into creation to give righteous people a hindrance that they must overcome spiritually

You will be discouraged from becoming Jewish about three times if you’re trying to convert.
If you’re truly sincere you will have to bother the rabbis many times for your conversion. Thats how it works
I plan on converting to Judaism at some point in my life. I do have patrilineal Jewish ancestry so that's one reason; another reason is that it's always been the one religion I felt has spoken to me.
The closest synagogue to my house that isn't messianic is 40 minutes away from me, though.
That’s not bad; I will be moving 2000 miles.
40 minutes? I drive 2.5 once a week, four weeks most months and on holidays I can make four trips a week. You can handle 40 minutes
he synagogue to me is probably 500 miles. There's not one Orthodox synagogue in my entire state. I live in South Dakota home to the lease percentage of the least amount of Jews in the United States just my luck! I have to move to convert but moving is expensive. I'm hoping I can move in the spring.
Blessings to you and your fam Rabbi, Messiah come quick bless Israel 🇮🇱
Rabbi, I am currently seeking to understand Judaism. I have pursued studies of the Hebrew roots for some time already. I have attended a Reform and Conservative Synagogue. As i have discovered the heart of the Jewish belief I continue to follow my path.. Hashem has directed me to the Torah, but i have not find my place yet. I will be visiting Israel hopefully next year, I will probably do it on my own. I am hoping to find my way to the house of G-d.
Pray Hashem will reveal to u
God bless you 🙏
FWIW i have never found my place yet either🙏
IMHO Only Orthodox Judaism seems true, Reform and Conservative are lacking🤔
@@bigtomboye go through ladder one step at time first start conversation from conservative then after few years start orthodox practice cause soul and body renewal issue you start observing Torah may be not all remember after leaving the Egypt took them time to observe .
@@bigtomboye Thank you for sharing! it is refreshing to know that I am not the only one.
