I love to do it all. I share a lot of mixed media projects. I love using a lot of different mixed media techniques. I also love stamping and card making.

You truly have a natural talent for working with sprays. This is art. And it’s beautiful. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us. I’m one of those who is still a little intimidated by the idea of spraying directly onto paper so I am so grateful to have found your channel and your tutorials on spray techniques bc I am gaining more and more confidence each time I use the sprays in the way you taught us here and I know I will be ready to spray directly on my paper very soon. ✌️💜

Just signed up and looking forward to it. Won’t see it live because of the time difference in Australia and having access afterwards is awesome so I can watch again and again.

Years ago I wanted new paper trays and very sadly there was only the ridiculously cheap thin we r makers stackable trays. Well I couldn’t take them back but I found that they make great drying racks when doing gel press prints or stencil pastes or whenever you have a lot of backgrounds coming at once. I line each tray with a paper towel which works as a way to pull out the panels in the trays by just pulling the paper towel out to reach what I want. I also use a pot lid rack for when I just have a few pieces I need to dry while working.

I only have oxides and only about 12 and dylusions sprays which I never use because I haven’t learned. I have 4 tonic mics sprays but my point is I have more than I can use and no money to buy mics spray, spray stain, spritz’s. I’d really like to just learn how to make nice backgrounds with the oxides I have. So thinking this isn’t the class for me. And I never have time to watch classes. Do you have any suggestions on maybe videos you’ve done with oxide sprays and I can add mica with perfect pearls. ? Thanks. I love what you create it’s master work but it’s not my style. I have learned a lot from watching though and know to keep going. Lol

Bristol smooth and Bristol vellum are two different surfaces. I do not find that the vellum is as easy for me to use for all purposes, like blending, smooshing, stamping, heat embossing, dry embossing, watercolors, powders, and sprays. I buy only the smooth, and am very happy with it. I have tried mixed media, but only one type, and I was not happy with it. (I cheerfully admit that was probably user error and not the substrate!) I have tried lots and lots of paper and I like the strathmore Bristol smooth in the 300 series the best. I have used it for over 25 years. I do have a paper cutter that will handle oversized paper so I can buy the large stock and cut it myself. I’m pretty sure the last time I looked that some of Amazon’s pricing beat the buy-one-get-one-half-price of the local big box stores, particularly if you get free shipping with it. I use a different paper for bases, which comes to less $$ than the Bristol smooth, but I always use the Bristol smooth for the media layer(s). You are so talented and I love to watch and see your color combos! TFS.

Can we make our own distress sprays with reinkers and use them? Will they work?
