A 'set square' is used by draftsmen to make drawings. An 'Engineers Square' is what you should be using.

it isn't easy being green( sorry couldn't resist) / if a person with a full size steam engine had a problem could you help him out (just wondering since I would think the engines are similar in theory )
Yes, full size & miniatures are very similar but one is much bigger and a whole lot heavier }:-)))
The term "gunmetal" is pretty half-baked, considering that it hasn't been used for that application in centuries. Just call it what it is; Red Brass.
