I liked it. But was not sure who it was. So I contacted the local radio stations. Only KUHL would talk to me. They told me NO, it is AMERICA. (well who the hell are they?) I did not know about a band called America. Then I bought their Live album recorded at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. I found out real fast that I actually did know their songs. Started noticing their personal names on the record. Dewey Bunnell, and Gerry Beckley as the performers as well as them being the song writers. Soon, I acquired more and more albums. Then in 1980 I was informed from a friend about AMERICA having a concert at Santa Barbara County Bowl - about 70 miles from my hometown (Santa Maria CA). I didn't believe it at first. But then there was this whole page article in the SB Newspress about it. I contacted ticketmaster, and my parents paid for 4 tickets to the event. It was Randy Meisner (eagles), Dave Mason, and the headliner was America. March 29, 1981 me, and my best friend Rushad, and my parents went to that show. It was the first live concert I had ever been to. We didn't have real good seats, but my father still took his camera with a zoom lens and we got the best pictures. I couldn't believe they all cut their hair. Dad and Mom objected to all the pot smoking taking place there. I had never even smelt pot before. Heard of it being illigal, but never paid attention to it because i never knew what it was. SO that was the beginning. 41 years later, here i am, still infatuated with the band, know everything about them, spoke to Gerry and Dewey several times, once even on the phone, as well as their band members, and for the life of me, I have not heard any reasonable explanation as to what went wrong with all the non success. I've even contacted their manager Jim Morey. None of them will discuss it with me or anyone else. They all seem to be happy as pie with the fact that the last hit song in the US on the top 40 chart was 1983 with "The Border" despite the fact that there are many other songs they recorded as well as albums that were ignored. America was cut off from society in 1983 even though their best songs were recorded by them after that even to this day. But Gerry and Dewey still refuse to stop.

Gerry’s voice hasn’t changed after all these years. Same thing with Dewy. Amazing talents. This band has been a happy part of my childhood. Great music, great songs that’ll forever be worth listening to time & time again. A very underrated talents that unfortunately has been affected by politics in the music industry. Nevertheless, you can’t deny that they really are great musicians; even better than the ones who are popular nowadays, but all mere trash.

Dewey's wrote some of the greatest songs of our generation. Both are so incredibly talented we are fortunate they still perform live. I thank them for their wonderful music.
Eles já estiveram aqui umas 4 ou 5 vezes. Eu os assisti no Chevrolet Hall em Belo Horizonte! No final foi uma apoteose total, público pulando, uma festa! Minha sobrinha conseguiu entrar no camarim no show no Rio e perguntou ao Garry se ele "era de verdade"! Um barato!

comments are quite harsh. ofc you're not getting any better than a dvd of them playing live, scrolling thru comments he only uses an iphone at maximum zoom (optical zoom, that is, i suppose i hope, and glad u didnt utilize the digital zoom the quality is almost just the same) and the audio honestly you're listening to a live concert with speakers probably far away from you the audience, the experience is just, if not almost, the same as you'd hear in this very video, the difference between it and a direct feed audio are night-and-day difference regardless if the speakers the band uses are crap enough to you audiophiles to know a subtle difference to a higher-end speakers. you're not getting any better than this (again), other than to wait for some dvd release of this if there's any, but i appreciate the effort of recording regardless of anything. for me i dont mind not be able to audibly recognize them talking in between songs, i'm here for the performance. btw the drummer is lit, suited really well
Definitely one of the best bands of the '70s Daisy Jane is definitely my best song and what are the guys names singing it he said it was his favorite song too LOL

What a damn shame you didn't zoom in by about 33% at the start and just left it at that setting.
