I got diagnosed with adhd a few months ago. I was bracing before clicking thinking this was a usual frankie video, being sarcastic and subtle mocking. I felt the respect tho, fair play. You handled the subject with a comedic touch, but still respectful.
I have ADHD and this is sadly spot on! Edit: none of it was wrong or triggering as such. Infact this is a more accurate representation of what ADHD is than what the majority perceive
😭😭😭 i was literally about to exit out of the video just before he said "this video only started a few seconds ago and people with ADHD have already lost interest"
as someone who has dealt with ADHD for 20 years now (been off meds for almost 10) i feel both seen and called out all at the same time. especially with the cup thing :(
there’s also the fact that it costs like $2000 because the public system doesn’t care about assessing you if you’re an adult. Currently taking a break from my degree I was failing so I can just try to save up.
The way I stay engaged with yours is because they're short and snappy and I can look at all the shops and people as distraction ;) But oh wow, did not expect you to come for me like that 😆 the cups left in the room and the crumpled spelling tests felt like a personal attack
As someone who has a few friends and watches videos from a few TH-camrs who absolutely do have ADHD, this video intrigued me. To my knowledge, I don't have ADHD, but I also never have been tested, so who knows. I got about half way before scrolling down. Then again, I often like to check comments of a video from someone I've never watched before, usually out of pure curiosity; other than that, it depends.
0:20 People with ADHD have already noticed how you managed to make a diphthong out of the single letter "H", and are severely annoyed by the constant repetition of it, while trying like mad to make a one-to-one translation of the street signs.
'Pull yourself up by your bootstraps' was actually a phrase that was written as an impossibility. The point was to highlight the ridiculousness of the American attitude of privileged people expecting poor people, with so many disadvantages, to pull themselves together and be successful in life. To 'pull yourself up by your bootstraps' is not possible.
(Diagnosed) AuDHDer here. I'll get back to this video, i promise. Probably not today. Maybe this week. Might be in 2 months time when i suddenly remember/get some motivation. If this were a 3 hour video essay my autistic side of it might be up for it. Funny how i both can have hyper focus or classic restless adhd depending on the day.
I have (officially diagnosed) ADHD. I was expecting this video to make fun of us, but it's just a realistic representation of my life. Edit: I was actually writing this comment before the end of the video, and I can confirm that I tuned out of it before the end.
I watched the whole video and I really liked it! He said we shouldn't be offended by something at the end, and I missed what the insult was because I was thinking about something in the background, but I was still there!
@@nomoresunforever3695 I don't know you, but purely on the adhd it doesn't make you pathetic (even if I think this at times). It's a tough world out there and it's tougher having a disability. Going through university now 3rd year and I feel that difference between myself and the normal coping people around me. Since being diagnosed, I understand that if you think "why is this harder for me and not for others", now the answer is clear. Right, I'm confused. I usually love your videos and take it all in. I have ADHD, so was excited for this one. So why did I get distracted through most of it? I started reading comments around the 2 min mark and then burst out laughing at the end comment. Have I just been mind f**ked??
Once at a party a guy said "don't worry if it looks like I'm not listening cause I am." I replied "If it looks like I'm not listening then I'm not" He subsequently got up and left. I wish this video had of existed then, it would have helped him understand the problems I face
It just costs me a few thousands to find out how my body reacts to a different schedule. Most unis have irregular schedules and classes are done in two sessions 1.5h × 2 a week. But the school works better evenly when I schedule like elementary - high school style with a clean cut breaks and regularity or I won't function.
