I think you absolutely scored on that x3 for that price. has some nice aftermarket parts already on it and seems to run pretty good. i would say get a good cage on it before you go to hard though.
IMO people just dislike the majority of sxs owners because a lot of the time they’re drunk driving an insane machine littering and rutting up the trails for the smaller machines. I’m not saying quad riders don’t but it’s much easier to have your cooler in the back of your sxs. Love all machines though
I love all motosports I've done shifter karts, drifting, drag racing, dirtbikes, streetbikes, trials, adventure bikes, qauds and i always wanted a sxs but never could afford it. I didn't think the technology was there back then but I moved out of California to Utah by sand hollow and everyone has them around where I live and you get to drive them on the road which is a plus. I bought a rzr pro r ultimate launch edition and I love it but man the accessories are expensive I've spent the same amount for accessories than I did the utv but definitely the most fun I've had sand hollow is epic. Bringing the GF along is a plus she loves it aswell. If you have the cash and have a place to ride by your house it's a must to own one of these things.

4 wheel drive takes the fun out of it though especially on those kind of trails you don't need it. Makes it way more stable but I like doing a little fish tailing.

Hey Mike what did you think of Talsma Park? I've been wanting to ride that area ever since I found out about it a couple years ago but haven't had time. Thanks for the video of you guys going through it, nice to see what they all have out there. You can also street legalize your ATV in that state and drive around everywhere except for the interstate. I think most people dislike UTVs because there are a large number of people who are unskilled with them and they pose a huge risk to the ATV/Dirt bike community when they ride together. We get drunk people wrecking around campgrounds and other areas all the time on UTVs. Kinda what happened to the boating community over the last several years as well. I'm a quad guy myself but I enjoy all things powersports.
Yxz1000 is the real vette of sxs. Longitudinally mounted 3 cylinders sitting behind the axles. Rear suspension designed for short course. 3 pedals with sequential gearbox. You can burn the tires any time you want. No need to trick the system into thinking its in 4 low.
I had a bolt come loose at the bottom of my steering rack down by my foot pedal and kept getting hung up until eventually it locked my wheel up and bent that bolt almost drove into a pond because of it just follow your steering wheel rack to the floor board past your pedals until you see the unjoint and it’s right below that
As a 36year old male, I just don't get SXS's at all. Their size, trailer needed to transport, roll cage, seat belts/strapped in, cost, power steering lol, being automatic are all turnoffs to me. This is coming from a trx250r, trx450r(panthera engine), yz250, stark varg, and specialized turbo levo comp owner. Not trying to bash them, but I just don't understand. Great video though!! and I'd love to ride there!!

Sounds like you need a Yamaha yxz1000 sxs 😉 they have manual options. Also have the honda talon which is a dsg transmission basically a manual thats shifted by paddles and actuators or fully automatic.
First time viewer and loving the content but there's several issues with this platform, not being an A##hole if you're planning to keep it HMU. Not putting anything for publicity or whatever but I just really don't want to see another money pit with the experience and knowledge I have with owning X3's first hand. There's a ton of mods but there are certain mods that are CRUCIAL is you plan to keep. Please look at CT race worx for the front suspension, get a shock kit, do a clutch kit regardless of what was done, and being an older X3 do the toe link support or a conversion and add radius rods. happy riding!
I bought my 2013 Maverick with a trailer and had less than 8k into it total. Used to drag it around in my Silverado that I paid 6100 for and never had an issue.
Dude, I'll take the old filter for $43.98. I mean that's like over a dollar savings from $44.99. I just use my air nozzle and blast it with 180psi and all the dirt and sometimes this paper stuff comes flying out of it. Unfortunately, for me, I have the bad luck of motors blowing up soon after I clean my filters. Must just be bad luck. That is a HEPA filter, right? I was thinking of installing it in my house filtration unit for that clean air, dirt smell. You know, whenever you smell that real clean air, it always has that slight tinge of dirt smell to it?
I use a $3.33 mic from Amazon. No joke, I get 3 for 9.99. They go bad once in a while but they've been the best mic so far and I've been using them for years. Tuck it behind your cheek pad and it acts as a really good wind muff and the mic isn't 1mm from your mouth.

I agree with this - I can't stand seeing this type of stuff on the trail, no matter what their driving.
Facts
My gripe is they drive em on trails like a golf kart, and get held up behind em for who knows how long till you can make a pass
In the northeast you will see 20 sxs's to one dirtbike or atv on the trails. And you see very very little trash.

Ole boy said it was 154 hp and they were up to 175 now, current X3s are 200hp, I have a 2022 XRC 72” 200hp thing is a BEAST and solid machine

Hell yeah. Had a 2020 CanAm 72” and loved it.
Just traded our 200hp XRS RR in on a maverick R. The X3 is amazing. BRP powerflip is one of the best things you can buy for it.

They can be programmed at the dealer - green one is the fast key for my X3

You need to bring your 250r to brule sand dunes in canada. Well worth the trip. Give it a search.

X3s are notorious for getting rocks stuck in the wheels if you have the 14 inch wheels on them, especially if you dont remove the scraper from the hub

The good ole 64inch x3 upgrade the arms to the longer ones so it’ll sit to 72 or 73 inch it’ll make a big difference on the trails 😂
That one is just base model with no intercooler. I have a 19 Turbo R that has Evolution powersports tune pushing 240 horsepower, stock was 172
240 would be WILD!
