IMO people just dislike the majority of sxs owners because a lot of the time they’re drunk driving an insane machine littering and rutting up the trails for the smaller machines. I’m not saying quad riders don’t but it’s much easier to have your cooler in the back of your sxs. Love all machines though

I think you absolutely scored on that x3 for that price. has some nice aftermarket parts already on it and seems to run pretty good. i would say get a good cage on it before you go to hard though.
4 wheel drive takes the fun out of it though especially on those kind of trails you don't need it. Makes it way more stable but I like doing a little fish tailing.
My 1st X3 was a '17 64" 154hp like yours. Be warned about doing doughnuts, they like to lay on their side. There is such a thing called the X3 rollover club. ✋ Oh and pull the wheel scrapers off the rear, that's what caused your wheel failure. Rocks get in there boom goes the wheel.

I love all motosports I've done shifter karts, drifting, drag racing, dirtbikes, streetbikes, trials, adventure bikes, qauds and i always wanted a sxs but never could afford it. I didn't think the technology was there back then but I moved out of California to Utah by sand hollow and everyone has them around where I live and you get to drive them on the road which is a plus. I bought a rzr pro r ultimate launch edition and I love it but man the accessories are expensive I've spent the same amount for accessories than I did the utv but definitely the most fun I've had sand hollow is epic. Bringing the GF along is a plus she loves it aswell. If you have the cash and have a place to ride by your house it's a must to own one of these things.
You should definitely upgrade this thing to how you want! Also do a collaboration and have fun with SXSBlog! Been watching you for a while now and love to see you do your awesome restorations and builds!

Oh, one time an old guy told me he wipes the inside of airboxes with a rag coating it 2 stroke oil, Ive been doing the same for years- it catches dirt and it's easy to clean out (just wipe it with another rag)

I have both a 2022’ 4 seat X3 and a 2007 Raptor 700. In all honesty also looking for a dirt bike to complete the collection. All love for the power sport. It’s all about fun and definitely no drinking and riding.
Yxz1000 is the real vette of sxs. Longitudinally mounted 3 cylinders sitting behind the axles. Rear suspension designed for short course. 3 pedals with sequential gearbox. You can burn the tires any time you want. No need to trick the system into thinking its in 4 low.
@@lucky13sxs They come with forged internals from the factory with the option to get a dealer installed turbo. It isn't needed to stomp a canam which loses power through a lame belt drive. Corvettes don't have turbos either.
Even modern quads are out of my price range idk how people can afford the super maxed out side by sides. They're not worth more than 10 grand to me anyway but the prices anymore are insane.
Hey Mike what did you think of Talsma Park? I've been wanting to ride that area ever since I found out about it a couple years ago but haven't had time. Thanks for the video of you guys going through it, nice to see what they all have out there. You can also street legalize your ATV in that state and drive around everywhere except for the interstate. I think most people dislike UTVs because there are a large number of people who are unskilled with them and they pose a huge risk to the ATV/Dirt bike community when they ride together. We get drunk people wrecking around campgrounds and other areas all the time on UTVs. Kinda what happened to the boating community over the last several years as well. I'm a quad guy myself but I enjoy all things powersports.

I've been riding SxS since I was 12 (DNR never caught me lol) and currently ride a '23 Maverick Turbo RR DS and it's better than a corvette. Wicked ride and it's way more fun in 2 wheel. Only necessary upgrades are tunes and a thick UHMWPE skid plate with a 1/8" steel additional plate to cover the clutch and rear diff. Otherwise it's honestly nearly perfect stock. Never blown a belt on any maverick I've been in and the maintenance is super easy.
another thing abt sxs is driving a good performance one makes you feel like youre driving a well built baja rig meant for racing without needing to dish out hundreds of thousands for something like a class 10 buggy or possibly 1m for a mason truck

They can be programmed at the dealer - green one is the fast key for my X3

My gripe is they drive em on trails like a golf kart, and get held up behind em for who knows how long till you can make a pass
In the northeast you will see 20 sxs's to one dirtbike or atv on the trails. And you see very very little trash.

X3s are notorious for getting rocks stuck in the wheels if you have the 14 inch wheels on them, especially if you dont remove the scraper from the hub

Without a turbo the yxz isn't the Corvette of sxs. Banging gears is great and all but the yxz suspension is only good for short course

Ole boy said it was 154 hp and they were up to 175 now, current X3s are 200hp, I have a 2022 XRC 72” 200hp thing is a BEAST and solid machine
That's a base 120hp. The og turbo r was 154, then 172. After that the turbo RR was 195 then 205.

X3’s have factory mud scrapers. You need to remove those if not you see what happens when a rock gets caught. 15” wheels will fix it too.

See what the dps is set to. It's has a high medium and low setting. Your steering feeling the way it does could be from the eps unit getting warm.
