A bit of background on the movie "Ek Dujee ke liye". Its a remake of the movie "Marocharithra"( a telugu film) by the same actor and the director. Btw the Actor is Legendary Kamal Haasan. And the director is Balchander who is considered one of the best of the country. He gave debut to Rajinikanth after recognising he had something special about him. Balchander was known for movies with social messages & potrayal of women as smart, confident and intelligent during 70s & 80s.
