It is really tough to reach the summit with wet paths and so many walkers who look like that they are oblivious to a race is going on , and those shining slabs that seems to me are also so slippery and dangerous . Well done to all the runners and to James for an amazing video ,
Thank you, I appreciate your comment. As with all accidents, generally, they are a combination of factors and the weather, the surface, my leap from a gully back to the path and the dawdling walkers all contributed to my face connecting with the stone floor. But I'm fine, the bruises will heal and I learnt something from the experience.
It can be treacherous that path in the wet - I sprained my ankle in roughly the same place a few years ago!
Did you manage to finish? Let's hope the 2025 race is less wet.
