@@harry4454 F2 is full of trash pay drivers, nobody being groomed by Toto should be pulling that position regardless of team in that series. Not only that but people are hyping him up to be the next Max or Prost which is just gonna be a disaster.
Qualifying ahead of Bearman who is more experienced and is a multi-time pole sitter and race winner in F2 is a good sign. P18-19 on the other hand doesn't bode well for Prema at all.

I would also love to see Kimi win with Ferrari, but I don't think Merc would let him go so easily like they did with Max, that's why they're backing him so strongly. Kimi might have been a factor for Merc management being so hesitant with giving Lewis a two year deal, but that's just speculation. Either way, F2 will be really good practice for him if anything and I wish him all the best.

Considering he skipped F3 and went straight to F2 his present form - with Prema being in a difficult spot no less - has been impressive. Everybody else ahead of him in the standings have 2-3 years of combined F3/F2 experience. You're ultimately compared to your own team mate as a racing driver, and how well is Bearman doing with Prema? Bearman has a full year of F2 experience from 2023 and a year in F3 in 2022.

Everywhere he’s been he has won in his first season, and I think this season, given the current form of everyone in the grid, he could do it as well. Really special. The best thing is he's from my city (Bologna).which is where Ducati, Maserati and Lamborghini are from. The nearest city is Modena (Ferrari, Pagani and Dallara birthplace. That's why this is called Motor Valley) so there's a lot of antagonism between us bolognese people and modenese people and seeing Kimi is going to compete against Ferrari is gonna be really big around here.
Maybe too optimistic, but hypothetically speaking IF Kimi were to place either I think 1st or even maybe 2nd in his first year of F2 I think it would raise some extremely pressing questions for Mercedes and their lineup for ‘25

Josh, thanks for the content, but this kind of video usually ages badly. He already has so much pressure and he's so young. He's getting way too hyped imo and his karting and junior years don't translate to f1. He didn't even complete a full f2 season.

Alright he was P18 today but in fairness, he was ahead of Bearman and unless the last two years of F2/3 has been super bad, Bearman is definitely a top competitor. Also note that Martins wasn't at the front as expected, and while fair play to Maini, deserves full credit, i highly doubt this quali session was representative

Antonelli, Bearman and Martins are brilliant talents but they have some of the most dangerous racecraft around right now
The reason Italy has so little drivers is because well now Valentino rossi scooping young protogies into his vr46 acadamy for Motogp
It's actually pretty standard in Italy to turn down talent because "too young". The Como Football Club (now playing in serie B, the second league) turned down a young argentinian player named Messi because he was too young. I won't be surprised if Ferrari missed a huge chance to sign him because of the same reason. As an Italian, I kinda stopped hoping we will ever see an Italian driver win a championship with Ferrari, both because we never really had a real contender and because Ferrari just seems like it stopped trying to actually win, but with Antonelli I kind of got some hope back.
