And then there are the other aspects such as operational rigidity and strategy. There are excuses, even though the driver does make the biggest difference by far in this series.
- He is freakishly fast for his age and bracket. - Drives with a broken wrist and dominates. - Learns from his mistakes quicly and clearly. - Is eager as hell and has a really good feel for the car. I am getting Jim Clark vibes. And that has me more excited then anything that has happened in F1 when the hybrid era began.

Back in 2020 I raced against him in the skusa winter series in KA100 Jr. Now I had heard about the kid before, but I didnt know much about him. During round 2 (Sunday of the first of 2 race weekends), he was starting dead last in the final because he had a mechanical problem in the pre final. Not only did this kid drive from last to first, but he put a good 1 to 1.5 second gap on him. Now I'm not trying to be a fan boy in any way, but this kid is going places
Rough start in F2, but his success was no fluke. He's got some serious talent - I expect he'll come good later in the season. From the interviews I've seen, he seems a humble young lad, so good luck to him.
Stenshorne did p22 in f3 and Antonelli did p18 in f2 quali. I hope both of them improve and don't crush under the pressure. Would love to see both compete at F1 at some point.

But please: don’t go around comparing him to legends of the sport like Ascari and Hamilton - he’s got very thick skin, sure, but this is not at all helpful. You’re helping to build up a mountain of expectations that can prove disastrous for such a young person (he is still 17).

Dammit Josh, now I have to watch F2 this year. As a new fan to the sport I have had a hard time following drivers and their journeys. Do more stuff like this. It gives me someone to root for, and who doesn't love more racing to watch.
I feel like it's a little early to say that it's guaranteed we'll see him on the grid in the next few years. So much can happen, and F2 is a big step up
I would also love to see Kimi win with Ferrari, but I don't think Merc would let him go so easily like they did with Max, that's why they're backing him so strongly. Kimi might have been a factor for Merc management being so hesitant with giving Lewis a two year deal, but that's just speculation. Either way, F2 will be really good practice for him if anything and I wish him all the best.

The best thing is he's from my city (Bologna).which is where Ducati, Maserati and Lamborghini are from. The nearest city is Modena (Ferrari, Pagani and Dallara birthplace. That's why this is called Motor Valley) so there's a lot of antagonism between us bolognese people and modenese people and seeing Kimi is going to compete against Ferrari is gonna be really big around here.
