Team!! congrats! you all did amazing!! I love how this is not Mo's usual thing but he still did it with a smile here and there 🎉 Sarah always cracks me up and James makes me so emotional watching and rooting for him 😢 I love Jess, she's also a lot of fun! yall did so good 🎉
Once again, another challenge conquered by the TRC team! Nice to see Jess take on such an epic challenge for her first with the TRC. well done one and all.
I was just telling my friend about this channel and its podcast and how i was excited for this video and BOM video. So excited for this group of people. Jess seems like such a good addition and extremely relatable. Great video ❤
Well done team TRC!!!! Amazing effort. Big kudos to Mo, for taking to the trails in the day and night 👊🏻. Trail running is awesome 👌🏻 Look forward to your next adventure 😉
As a local fell runner I could telll instantly that Jess was going to be by far the toughest and fastest, she looks like a fell runner and was quick, would be interesting to see her train properly for the Snowdon International mountain race which is just once up and down and all about flat out speed, I bet she could get near the 90min mark up/down if she put her mind to it which is a very respectable target, the course record is an insane 1:02:29. Also have a look at not a race but a challenge, fell racing is known for it's 24hr challenges known as Rounds and the one in Snowdonia is called the Paddy Buckley Round, it's just over 100km and includes 47 summits, it is actually split into 5 sections so could be done as a team challenge and it's usual to have pacers who know the route supporting the runners and doing the navigation for them, and support crews between each section with hot food etc.
Great video!! Great job, that looked like so much Type 2 fun!! I loved what Mo said... hating it until the finish, then loving it, as well as how crazy friendly trail/ ultra runners are! It's an atmosphere that you have to experience to believe. Personally, I'd love to see toy do a Man V Horse style run (VT100 ??) or a Skyline run like the Glen Coe!
love it , I ran up and down it for charity with Chris Ford & co a couple of years ago so totally empathize re The obsticle course of people , especially on a downhill. It is so important to set off stready , because the 3rd qtr (where it is a little rocky) , will take it out of the legs if you do the first half too hard, and then to do it in the pitch black, some of that trek is slippy underfoot . Very well done all :🙂 👏
Great video...seems like an awesome challenge Not an ultra, but I'd love to see the team take on a 'Beau Miles' marathon more to see what tasks people undertake in between runs. Thinking of trying to do it myself soon!
Amazing content as always from TRC, can't imagine going up and down a hill/mountain throughout the day & night multiple times. Impeccable teamwork and awesome collaboration with Garmin for this challenge!
A '"local" favorite of mine that I would LOVE for you all to try someday is the Ragnar Reach The Beach Relay! It's a relay of just over 200 miles that starts in the mountains of New Hampshire and finishes on the seacoast. I grew up watching every year as runners came through my town so it's on my bucket list to do someday!
That is such an epic, memorable weekend. You have to REALLY like your teammates, being crammed into a van, sweaty, sore, and tired for 2 days! 😂 (Then again, my 2 experiences were with smaller teams. )

@@runningchannel you could always fly to America and join us on our Ragnar team in September since we are 1 person short of a 4 person ultra team. 😁 Or you could join a race as TRC that you had to travel for, like Sarah's Tokyo marathon, but as a team event.

Great video team - would love to see you all come to NZ for The Wild in December - the GOAT Courtney is popping on over to do it... how could you not? Jess is super cool too - welcome Jess xx
Come down to Cornwall for the Arc of Attrition - 50 or 100 miles with some fantastic coastal scenery (by day - not so pretty at night!) Need to get entered early so probably looking at January 2025. Cornwall would give you a great welcome.
Aw man.. I did the ultra that weekend, didn’t realise you were all there, I’d have come to cheer you on 😂 Was a great weekend, and much better weather than last year. Well done all of you.. we see the 24hr people going in and out when we’re waiting to start.. luckily I only had to run down the Llanberis path only once.. although, my legs were probably just as tired and painful as yours. 🎉
What Ultra to take on - I'd say definitely revisit Eiger UTMB! James has unfinished business there, so anytime he feels ready, I'll be there rooting for him!
Great effort guys, all the hardships of trail running, hills, rocks, dark and delirium! Loved it. I’m down for Mo to do 9 ;). Get out to China, there are a ton of great ultras here with a lot of ascent and descent involved. Really pretty scenery to compensate though :).
@@runningchannel Stranda Fjord Trail Race in Norway would be epic. They've had 100k courses for the last couple of years, but this year the longest route is "only" 48k for some reason. 3850m elevation gain and some fantastic scenery. It starts in a week though, so you better hustle! 😂
