Tina she's brilliant I love her you did a great job 👏👏👏
Thank you so much 😁
Foxy is gorgeous Tina and I can’t wait to see her clothes.
Already cast on her knickers 🤣
She's adorable!. I wouldn't change a thing!
Thank you x
Great job, Tina. She's beautiful.
Thank you so much 😁
Tina, you are hilarious. I really enjoyed your video. I was given the book and definitely want to have a go at making some of the dolls for my twin granddaughters. Thank you.
She's gorgeous! 😍
Thank you so much x
She is lovely well done Tina 🎉
Thank you so much x
She looks great - I recently bought this book but haven't started it yet. I'm very much a beginner and have knitted quite a few Clare Garland (Dot Pebbles) animals so I'm used to her patterns. While they look good, I could certainly never sell them!! I was looking for someone who had done something from this book. I'm glad I'm not the only one who struggles with mattress stitch - I always seems to have one edge which is a bit baggy so it's difficult to pick up the bars as they're quite loose. You have inspired me to have a go at one of these patterns from this lovely book.
Enjoy, they are fun and worth the effort. Happy knitting
Me too! It’s the purl side that’s loose and baggy.🤍
I think Foxy looks great. Don't beat yourself up. Once it has clothes on you'll never see the seams. How fun!! Enjoy!!
Thank you so much for your support 😁
Tina you did a beautiful job on Foxy....love all your sweaters that you made also.....going to try and knit a vest love yours
Thanks so much, good luck with your vest x
Great job. Vixen is beautiful!!!!!
Thank you x
Tina! She IS perfect! And I love her eyes. Good job. I know how hard it is to do eyes. ❤🌹 nj USA
Thank you so much x
Had the best time watching this 😆! Great job! I’m currently waiting for George the Dog to finish blocking so I can attempt the construction. Appreciate the encouragement and the great humorous presentation. Wish me luck 😊
Thank you , good luck sewing up George 😃

Foxy is gorgeous Tina💝 She is larger than I realized What a beautiful foxy lady Charlotte has become Congratulations!
Thank you, I'm really pleased with her 😁🦊
Vixen is amazing. Can't wait to see her in her cute clothes.
Already cast on her knickers 🤣
Vixen! So cute! Now clothing and shoes!!!! I put a wooden chopstick to hold the head of my animal friends, not safe for kids but they are for me!
I'm thinking I may open her up and support her neck . Thanks for watching x
Vixen is adorable. She would be very stunning with a few eyelashes, if she decides to hit the town. LOL Nice job! Excited to see her wardrobe build and if she will have any more friends.
No friends for a while but definitely a full wardrobe 😁
@@Simplyinstitches 😂
Hi Tina. Love yr Charlotte. She looks fantastic. Wow. U knit her so fast considering u haven't knitted anything like this before. Yr sewing up looks great. Xx
Thank you, that's very kind of you, don't look to closely 🤣
Omg vixen a fox with attitude, I just love her Tina she looks like one sassy lady
I think so too x
Great job. She is beautiful. Thank you for sharing Ms Charlotte Vixen.
Thanks so much for watching, glad you enjoyed it x
She is beautiful ❤️
Thank you x
Wow Tina 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 well done you. Foxy is gorgeous. A real foxy fox ❤️You’ve done such a good job! You’ve inspired me to finish Holly. Had problem with wool delivery, long story but courier probs. Finally arrived & she now has 2 legs. I think I’ve over stuffed her head & body but never mind. She can start slimming world if her dress doesn’t fit 😂. Just have to attach legs & arms to body now. Thanks for tip on giving extra support for head by going down under arms. Honestly Tina , Foxy is so brilliant ❤️❤️ Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much. I'm thinking of opening her up and giving her more stuffing. Since wrestling with her adding things she has gone softer on the body . I'll wait to see when she has clothes and stuff accordingly 😁 Wouldn't it be nice if we could do the same 🤣
@@Simplyinstitches 😂😂😂😂😂 it sure would
I love your sense of humor, Tina 😂 you are adventurous too...I’m hoping the more videos I watch of yours, that rubs off on me. Looks fun!
Adventurous or foolhardy 🤣 Not everything goes well. Thanks for watching x

Thanks so much, I have my share of disasters 😊🤣
the book is lovely my friend bought me that book
Happy knitting, I wonder which animal you will knit
Wow Tina, she really came out great. I am not patient enough to do stuffed animal so I appreciate how much work she was. Love the name Vixen.
Thanks 😁🦊
Slightly menacing, but gorgeous!
Me , Vixen or both 🤣😘
@@Simplyinstitches 😂😂
What a joy watching you put Foxy together. She is looking Marvelous! Thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you so much, I'm really happy you enjoyed it 😁
My copy of the book arrived in the middle of watching this video. I haven't knitted for over 20 years, so I'm not sure that I'm quite up to the task but going to give it a go. Definitely interested to see how your lovely fox turned out, so I'm finishing watching the video before looking through the book.
Good luck , I'm sure you will be fine . The book is very helpful in the instructions 😃🦊
Well done! Can't wait to see her dressed!
Me too 😁
She's lovely You did a great job 🤎
Thank you so much x
Foxy Chops Charlotte is gorgeous!
Thank you so much for watching x
Foxy is adorable and I can't wait to see her dressed. Maybe you could add a smile on her? She certainly looks determined to get all the chickens! If you want to give up the day job I'll be your first foxy customer ☺️ I don't knit but followed your stitching, so enjoy watching you that even though it's knitting I'm still here!
Thank you so much for staying with me . Definitely no commissions for foxy 😁
Great job on finishing Foxy. She is adorable and will look very nice in your craft room.
Suggestion about her eyes… they seem like they need a pupil. You could cut out a small piece of black paper to the shape of a pupil and pin in on her eye to see if you like the look of it before stitching it (if you decide to an a pupil). That would save on having to rip it out if you didn’t like it.
She really is quite cute and looking forward to more of her foxy adventures in the future. 🦊💕🧶😊
Thanks for the suggestion 😀
Oh Tina ,your fox is so adorable! Good job done with her !
Thank you 😊
Love it!
Thanks 😁
What a fabulous jog you have done Tina! Thanks so much for the super fun step by step show, you are super talented, thanks so much for sharing ❤😀 x
Thanks so much 😊
She has turned out great. We are our own worst critic. I have never knitted or crocheted a toy and don’t believe I ever will. So hats off to you. I reckon a mouth would look good and adding clothes will make her even better.
Yes, definitely clothes 😁
This was fun Tina😀.🤗
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it x
I love Foxy! You did a wonderful job on Vixen. The eyes are cute. Have a terrific week
Thank you, You toox
Vixen is adorable!!! I’m looking forward to seeing the clothes you make for her.
Thank you, I'm ready to start the knickers 😁
She's adorable. Now for her clothes!
Yes 😁
Foxy looks great a small fleck of white in her eyes will take away the angry look :)
🤣 thank you x
you're right, she is absolutely perfect as she is. I'm gonna make this once I'm done wth my crocheted frog!
Good luck with yours x
I would love to see a video with the clothes this fox is amazing and it would look even better with the clothes
Thanks for sharing making up Vixen. Its my lest favourite part of making things. I once made a snowman who is known as evil snowman as he does not look like a nice person!
🤣 it good for them to have character 🦊😁
@@Simplyinstitches 😁😁
I think you did great I just got the book and started a dress..hoping to make the cat I was scared..but you have given me the inspiration to try.. thank u❤
Excellent, You can do it 😃
I’ve only recently found your channel, I love Foxy and your sleeveless sweater too. Keep your happy videos coming x
Thank you , will do . Welcome to the channel 😁
Great job! I think Vixin is really cute!💞
Thank you 😊
Well done Tina. I think one is always critical after just finishing sewing up. You’ll forget all about it soon and it looks perfect to everyone else. You do make me laugh with the eyes though. Love the lashes ❤
Thank you, I'm enjoying her more already 😁🦊
🤗 I think she looks cute Tina! I would make her a dress with that green in it, I think it would highlight the green eyes. I love those little skinny legs! Overall I think you did a great job!👏👏👏
😊 thank you x
Foxy turned out very well. I used to make bears. You can have multiple people following the same pattern, and they all turn out different. That’s what makes them unique and gives them character. You did a great job! 🦊 Looking forward to the wardrobe!
Thank you , she's definitely different 😁
You did a great job. Charlie had a wobbly head too to begin with. I thought it was because I used buckwheat shells as well as stuffing. Although it made it difficult to sew up I think it was a good idea to hold 2 4ply yarns together to make a thicker fabric. X
Thanks Anita, I am happy with her fur but those eyes 🤣
Charlotte / Vixen is no longer road kill 🤣🤣🤣🤣 she's cute Tina, looking forward to seeing her dressed 🫣 , take care xxxx
So am I 😁
Hi Tina foxy is gorgeous 😍 can't wait to see her all dressed up, you've made mee want to knit a toy ! I crochet more than knitting and have made lots of crochet amigurumis but learnt knitting first in my much younger days happy knitting Kaye x
I envy you because I think toy making makes more sense in crochet. You can go round corners so much easier. That's why I was interested in learning to crochet 😁
@@Simplyinstitches good on you! I took me a while to relearn crochet but TH-cam is a great help, oh the first amigurumi I made was a catapiller and it was twice the size because I didn't know a single crochet was a double crochet in English terms, the grand kids still play with it even now ! Have a good week Kaye x
Just an idea, if you get fake eyelashes and chop them up, so you only use a few strands (hairs, or whatever it's called) and put it in the outer corner of her eye, it might soften her look? It's cheap enough to try, but I think she's cute. Can't wait to see her wardrobe 😍
Thanks for your thoughts 😀
Fox turned out great Tina. It was the first animal I made from the book too. I thought I wouldn't make any more .....but I have! With regards to floppy necks, I usually sew like you did on the fox but I've seen a tip where you can use one of those long foam hair curlers inside the neck. Not tried it myself yet but I've picked up a pack for not much more than a euro in my local 'cheap' shop to try them out next time.
Thanks, I may try that if she flops 😁
Love the Fox, and, subsequently, YT recommended me to Linda Eld's channel which features several of Louise Crowther's animal designs [including a SLOTH Knit-a-long!] where she uses FlexiFlip needles to knit in the round, minimising the dreaded sewing up.
Yes her videos are great 😁
Foxy looks great! Pat yourself on the back for finishing her. I think I would have lost patience. 😄. The eyes are priceless. Also, your beaded sweater is lovely. Gail
Thank you, I'm not known for my patience but I wanted her finished. Now for clothes 😁
Vixen is adorable x
Thank you so much 😁
SHE IS SO CUTE! She is foxy. lol
Oh thank you, I'm really pleased with her 😁🦊
Tina, Vixen looks great! As soon as the eyes were on, she became a girl. Well done. I know there is no mouth on the pattern but maybe there should be? I did love the way to shot the video, snippets of progress. Enjoy your new friend - at the moment she’s an exhibitionist so time to start knitting a dress 🤣.
Yes , knickers I think first 😮👙🤣
@@Simplyinstitches Oh didn’t think if that - blush 🤪
She is amazing Tina! I am working on the owl..it goes slowly..😀
They ste slower projects than they look but keep going. The owl looks amazing 😃
I love how she turned out! Give her a smile and lashes! I would give shoe laces since you don't like the top of her feet.
She is having shoes 😁
Beautiful! You certainly have patience! Years ago, I made teddy bear/s. Well…I have a few bins of BEAR PARTS, because I kept tweaking arms, legs, etc. Still have the Bear Parts 🙃. I could never get noses or eyes to look right. Hence p.a.r.t.s. … They make faces look soooo easy! Also the patterns were NOT as finishing specific as your book. “Sew legs (ears, tail…) to body”. I’d sit there flummoxed, well, just HOW to sew xxx to yyy.. ???
Fast forward, make “dolls/critters” w no faces, add hats. There. Done.
I applaud your Foxy !! Clothing shouldn’t be as fussy (hope not)!!
Love the tail, too !
Thank you so much, yes hopefully the clothes will be straight forward 😁
Very well done with Vixen. I must admit that I usually use ready-made toy eyes when I do amigurumi. Love the patterns where they tell you where to add the eyes before you stuff the head. Takes the guesswork out of it all and stops those ‘demonic’ eyes. Foxes are supposed to look determined and she looks like she’s going to get what she wants. 😂. Love your vlogs - always cheer me up. Lesley x
Thank you so much for watching 😊
Vixen is beautiful 😊
I think so too , even with the eyes 🤣
OK! I think I have finished laughing! She's a very sexy girl, you did a good job! i used to make teddy bears, she looks like just as much fun! Good job Tina! You made me laugh today!
Thank you so much, I'm glad I gave you a giggle 😁🦊
I made George the dog he is adorable mr fox her books are great so is the doll one
Yes they are 😁
Tina, first thing I noticed is your wearing your your short sleeved jumper, it look fantastic on you, well done my friend. I loved the video in clips revealing Ms Foxy, I believe she looks amazing ! I have crocheted animals but never knit, and please don’t get me started lol. Are you planning on another knitted animal to bring to life ?
It's the clothes for Vixen I'm excited to knit , but there are a couple of animals I'd love to knit in the future 😁
Foxy looks great! You made me laugh with the bendy leg 😂. You gave me the idea, so my oldest daughter gave me the book for Christmas and I’m waiting for the yarn now. Assembling it and making the face will also be the hardest part for me, so I loved the video, it was very encouraging. I hope I will do as good a job as you! She has personality with those eyes 😊👍! Are you thinking of making another animal from the book after you finish her clothing? If so, which one are you thinking of?
I may make another, maybe the hedgehog , owl , ram or the hare 🤣 Good luck with yours, happy knitting x
Looking forward to see that 😊!!😊
Well done you! I think you have done a great job with Miss Vixen Foxy-Chops! Are you going to make her an outfit from the book too?
That's the plan 😁
She’s so cute! If you’re not happy with her feet, you could knit her some socks or slippers.
Ms Vixen will have shoes to match her outfits 😁
@@Simplyinstitches Ooh, she will be stylin’.
You have been such a help and taught me so very much. Thank you for that. I would like to do a sock using the coffee bean stitch. I see the pattern on you tube but I need help. I want to use fingering weight yarn and me size 1 cicular needle . The pattern looks very pretty and simple, but I really need help getting the right count .
I've never knit them myself so I don't know the pattern . Have you googled it to see if there is a tutorial?
Well done Tina 🫶..... You've done a great job!! .....I love her! ❤️..... Beautiful green eyes...... You'll need to take her for a day out, perhaps Foxy bingo !!! She might bring you luck !!🤞😁 ..... By the way love your nail varnish , what colour and make is it? ...it's so pretty 😻 xx
Hi its happily ever after by essence. Just a cheap one from Wilkinsons 😁
Just my opinion, but, wouldn't her eyes be more natural and complete with black pupils in the centres? Other than that, she turned out beautiful(ly rustic)! 😀 Love her! ❤ Can't wait to see her new duds! You've done a smash up job, Tina.
Thank you , I'm already thinking of her first outfit 😁
@@Simplyinstitches I hope its not leggings!😁
Well done Tina on completion of “Foxy chops”, she’s much larger than I thought she would be, I’m not too sure on the eyes though, can you not get some sew on ones? Just a thought….atm Vixen looks like a Victor, but maybe changing the eyes will give it a more feminine look, it’s very difficult, will you be making other friends for her? Best wishes x
She may have friends in the future. Clothes first 😁
She is beautiful. I make the squirrel, but I had to secure his head. Otherwise it was hanging on his back.
That skinny neck is tricky. Apparently some people put a soft hair roller inside for support. I may do surgery on her if she goes limp 🤣🦊😁
@@Simplyinstitches that is a good idea!
How to knifed the feet pad for the animals?
well done tina i think she is a mean looking fox but in a good way she needs some clothes now she will get cold so please mummy do me some clothes lol x
Knickers are already on the needles 😁
Vixen looks great (I wouldn't argue with her) haha. I finished Noah the Horse but can't stitch eyes at all, they never go right for me so used buttons. The dungarees are taking way longer than I thought they would. Three pages for the pattern and a bit fiddly but hoping they fit x
Fingers crossed they fit. Those legs are long , that's a lot of rows of knitting 🐴😁
Well done Tina. Any toys I have attempted never look like the picture and I find it frustrating 😢😊
They are all unique, like people 😁
You have done a great job on Foxy Chops, 🦊. I’m knitting a 12 inch wild rabbit 🐇 by Dot Pebbles (download pattern from Etsy). The knitting is fine but I’m not looking forward to the sewing up. It’s going on a postbox topper. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make it stay upright? I’m thinking of making a wire skeleton out of metal coat hangers 🤷🏻♀️
As you have seen I have no idea about these things . Have you googled it ? It may be hard to find but I bet it's on the web somewhere 🤔 Good luck x
Foxy needs one white spot in her eye if you ask me....that always helps by drawing faces.
I have tried that but it didn't help 😖🤣
I know this is after the fact but I did see that someone had used a small flexible curler/roller to put in the neck to hold it more firmly in place. I'm just completing the first leg and I have to say that after the foot I knit the leg in the round to avoid that length of stitching. Self confessed cheater here.
That's not cheating it's knitting smart . Well done you 😁
I have this book and it’s beautiful to look at even though I’m not good enough to knit them. I still love to take in the beauty, colours and sheen of the book.🤍🥰
EDIT: plus I got it for £5.00 brand new! Xx
Sewing isn’t my forte I just can’t the hang of the mattress stitch and like you I’m a tight knitter so maybe that’s why, but my purl row ends are always loose😢
She looked scary at first but ok afterwards 😂
You could always use a different size needle for the purl rows to even it up 😃
@@Simplyinstitchescan you help me please. I’m doing my first rabbit (not from that book yet) it’s knitted pets by susie johns. This is what it says about making up….
Body…join the 2 pieces at the sides. Run a length of yarn through each stitch of cast on edges and pull up tightly to close gap???
It’s doesn’t say mattress, back, over or any other method.🤷🏼♀️
Thanks 🤍
@@Felicity2121 you are being asked to pull the stitches together like the top of a drawstring bag . Follow exactly what is instructed and you will be fine.
@@Simplyinstitches I didn’t think that was what it meant as it’s instructed to cast off. I thought that only worked if the stitches were put onto a needle. Thank you 🤍
