Thank you Amy and crew of D.N. for the courage you are showing the people what real journalistic integrity looks like! 😊 You don't get to run from the hard questions! 😂 Bravo! 😎👍🫡🇺🇸
She is a pest with no understanding of the situation with human rights in Azerbaijan. Her naphthalin version of “democracy” is laughable. It’s our western hypocrisy at its best. Disgusting propaganda of a rotten European “democracy”.
People do not get arrested in Azerbaijan , unless they commit crimes. Online Newspapers are free to publish whatever they want and the opposition also free to express their view. Your lying propaganda is miserable and simply laughable. Such hypocrites make very bad impression in Azerbaijan society. Azerbaijani people are proud of there country defeated Armenian invaders and aggressors who destroys and looted Azerbaijan by committing ethnic cleansing of 300k Azerbaijani civilians from Armenia and almost 1M Azerbaijani refugees in Azerbaijan, victims of Armenian aggression and occupation of Azerbaijan for 30+ years! Where your democracy was for 30+ years ignoring the suffering of Azerbaijanis? Your toothless and hypocritical approach makes all Azerbaijanis be disgusted by western version of “democracy”. That why Azerbaijan, and recently, Georgia, are wary of European democracy and their hypocritical bureaucrats.
@@kevinwilliams1768 I’ve watched her for decades and she’s always been about the truth, comfortable or not. It’s the only journalism out there that’s going to give the straight story without molding it into a preferred narrative.
Yep, they "clearly answered [her] question" indeed. The topic makes them extremely uncomfortable and they are afraid to speak about it or face accountability in front of a public audience.
A Total stupidity. Azerbaijan is very friendly country and famous for its hospitality, beauty, nature, stunning architecture and ancient history. Azerbaijani people are very proud and do not tolerate hypocrisy of the western society and corruption that rules in such “democratic” countries.
@@MrAvand If you watched the interviews with Leyla Mustafayeva and Zhala Bayramova yesterday, it would seem that not all Azerbaijani people are on the same page about its government's policies, which in no way detract from the country's good qualities which you enumerated some of. While no one can fault you for pointing out the hypocrisy and corruption of Western societies, Democracy Now spends 90% of its time criticizing exactly those. Of course that doesn't mean that everything about Western societies is bad either. Democracy Now played beautiful Azerbaijani music today and yesterday from Rəhman Məmmədli and Fargana. So I don't see this in any way as a slight against Azerbaijan or its people or culture. It is important to criticize human rights abuses wherever they are identified. And we here in the comments are criticizing the rude behavior of this one man and those in his entourage. The shame they bring upon themselves is theirs alone.
@ I’m well aware that Baku is a VERY different world. Even opening up to foreign press (especially including a woman) and holding this meeting is outside their version of normality. I think it’s more his complicity and participation in the arrest and silence than his fear of others in the system there.
God Amy I love you❤ first time I watched your show on Free Speech TV I knew you and Juan are journalism excellence thank you thank you you're still the same all these years!!!!!!
Why this old lady not playing with her grandkids, seems like someone gave to this old lady couple bucks for that question. I would be ashamed having this lady as a grandmother.
If the protests were non violent peaceful protests why were they arrested? Have they been formally charged? If these arrests were not lawfully done the actions of DEMOCRACY are saving these activists from potential abuse and putting the light on their civil rights and due process.
Citizens who defend their rights as Azerbaijani Talysh (ethnic Persian people) in the country are imprisoned by the state as European-Russian-Iranian agents.
I feel ashamed and embarrassed as an Azerbaijani. This is ridiculous! As an Azerbaijani who lives in US I can see nothing has been changed in the country towards corruption and incompetence. Lack of talentlessness and dishonesty is huge as we evidence here from these politicians, which if “you” speak up and try to change things for good, they will put you behind the bars and try to silence your voice! As I am watching this, I am disgusted from the actions that I have seen from this administration! It’s a shame because they are not representing only themselves, but they also represent 11 million Azerbaijanis who lives in Azerbaijan as well as 52 million Azerbaijanis worldwide.
You ask a question about corruption and human rights to people who are directly involved in corruption and are corrupt, as well as working to strengthen the dictatorship and destroy human rights in Azerbaijan, and what answer do you expect from them?
What a SYMBOL of the failure of the top Azerbaijani Officials. Sad. Pathetic, really. The Anxious Concerns on these men's faces as you posed your question SPOKE LOUDER THAN WORDS!. Bon courage, Amy et al, and Good Luck!
This is disgusting. Armenians guilty of ethnic cleansing of 300k Azerbaijanis in Armenia in 1980s, almost 1 million of Azerbaijani refugees in Azerbaijan due to Armenia’s invasion to Azerbaijan and they had to flee from Armenian bloody killers. How these Armenians have a nerve to accuse noble Azerbaijanis in ethnic cleansing, taking into account undeniable facts how Armenia’s destroyed and looted Azerbaijani sovereign lands for 30+ years and committed not only a genocide, but also ecocide in Azerbaijan.
Greetings Amy, our Armenian POW's are in captives as well, hope All will be released. Brave dignified journalist you are Amy, Respect frm occupied Armenia/Artsakh 🇦🇲. Wish you a safe return to your homeland.
American democracy seems proud of blatant violation of human rights of prisoners without formal proof of their guilt in Guantanamo. Of course, Ami will never address this issue, but she prefers to meddle in internal affairs of countries very far away from the USA. A hypocrisy is at its best!
You have been chasing these two-faced cowards/criminals for 40 years. Thank you Amy!
Bravo and thank you for your effort.

Amy Goodman is an international treasure.
Nope! She is a woke leftist Orwellian activist.
Thank You for keeping the powerful accountable. This is what real journalism looks like. MSM should take notes!
msm does what they're told.
Sit, Fetch, Beg, Speak! Yup, that's what they do.
You know you're in the wrong when you're physically fleeing Amy Goodman to avoid having to answer for what you did

Thanks Amy and Democracy Now!!! 🌟🎙️🗽 JOURNALISM in capital letters✨🫶🏽
Your democracy is a failure. Its hypocrisy governs the western version of “democracy”, and far away from truth. Who are you trying to fool here?
ACTUALLY AMY DID GET HER ANSWER. THE ANSWER IS "BAKU NOT SAFE FOR KOURNALISTS WHO SPEAK TRUTH"
Yep, they "clearly answered [her] question" indeed. The topic makes them extremely uncomfortable and they are afraid to speak about it or face accountability in front of a public audience.

Will you also ask about Armenian POWs that are still in Baku jails?
If the protests were non violent peaceful protests why were they arrested? Have they been formally charged? If these arrests were not lawfully done the actions of DEMOCRACY are saving these activists from potential abuse and putting the light on their civil rights and due process.

Seeing their faces as the question was being asked was fortelling enough of what the, not so unexpected answer, was going to be...
Thank You Amy
Real journalism!!❤
Amy Goodman was in Baku. If I knew I would come to hug her or say hi, thank you🥹🌷
You ask a question about corruption and human rights to people who are directly involved in corruption and are corrupt, as well as working to strengthen the dictatorship and destroy human rights in Azerbaijan, and what answer do you expect from them?

Good job, Amy! You're a real one, and we don't deserve you. 🙌
Ask him about the ethnic cleansing of Armenians from their ancient homeland of Artsakh (also known as nagorno-karabakh)
tell them stop the cloud seeding
Imagine being upset for not getting an answer to your loaded question 😂😂😂
İlham Aliyev❤

When Guantanamo will be closed?
