I've been to the alley. With you, John! On one of your tours for Buster Keaton Weekend, five years ago already.
    I'll never forget it. 🤩

@@SilentLocationsbyJohnBengtson Yes, it should be a Mecca for silent film fans and historians.

Thanks a lot for your hard work on the three kings. Have always been a great fan
of Charly Chaplin and (especially) of Harold LLoyd. Have numerous video's, DVD's
and books of or about them. In the early 80's I saw almost all the features of Harold
on German Television. (Am Dutch Myself)
Well, Thanks for all, Rob (from the North of The Netherlands)

You always have such amazing videos John!! They definitely helped pushed me to publish videos onto TH-cam.

Beautiful video, John. I have all of your books, and I'm still amazed that so many of these filming locations are still around, many having changed little in nearly 100 years. By the way, February 2022 will mark the 100th anniversary of the unsolved murder of William Desmond Taylor, the noted silent film director of Mary Miles Minter and many others. Wish you could solve it!

Thank you so much - it means a lot. Did you see my post showing Doug MacLean lived next door to WDT? silentlocations.com/2020/10/25/buster-harold-mabel-and-doug-and-the-murder-of-wm-desmond-taylor/

Unfortunately there is now a huge locked gate at both ends of the alley so you can no longer enter or take photos to try and match the angles.
