  • #BusterKeaton filmed Seven Chances across LA; the church, his girl’s home, hit by an alarm clock, many locales still exist, his wife Eleanor visited there too. Brilliant original score by Jon C. Mirsalis, links below click SHOW MORE

What a beauty! Perfect pacing; colour coded to make easy comparison between old photos, new photos, and film stills; lovely music.
How is it that it's been viewed 1200 times with only 58 likes? Too many people are stingy with their approval I guess.

Another brilliant reminder of the giants of the early cinema in whose shadows the filmmakers of today stand in.
    Bengtson Brilliance, as usual.
    Mirsalis Music, outstanding.

Lovely work. I knew I vaguely recognized some locations. So cool to see that streets I walked everyday to get to classes at USC were also Buster Keaton filming locations all along. Thank you for researching, making, and sharing your videos.

Mr. Bengtson thank you for another great vlog. I love Mr. Buster Keaton. Love that you have the eyes to search all the intricate details in every film clip and bring the past to the present. Sometimes the images can bring heartbreak at how sites have changed for the worst and at other times it brings enlightenment and awe at what life was like back in the day.

At 4:04 its interesting to note that the little sapling tied to a frame behind Buster is, more than likely, the adult tree in the modern photo.

A remarkable comment. Congratulations.. Now look at the photo at 11:05 Theres Busters Mercer Roadster sitting parked between the buildings on the back lot drive way.... Poor picture here, but it is that car!

The movie this video examines (Seven Chances) features the greatest chase sequence ever put to film. Nothing in the modern era even comes close. BTW, when you see Buster running downhill trying to outrun those boulders, those are ACTUAL BOULDERS. No CGI. And they must have got every woman in Los Angeles who could run in heels to appear as an extra. Crikey! Even "Ghandi" didn't have that many extras. This is the physical comedy movie by which all others are measured... and come up short.
