Thanks for such explanation I tried to understand S parameters for a while and I was confused you broke the complex topic into simple parts keep up the good work 👍🏽

Very nice explanation. Could You please tell me how to add S-param as a model to a component in Altium?

Hi Zach, is there any tool, that helps me measure S-parametrs?

The tool that is used to measure S-parameters is a vector network analyzer, or VNA.

The problem is that Zach is making these things seem VERY simple. I don't know enough to know if that is good or bad lol. I have to look up examples of people using VNAs for this and see exactly how right Zach is. Regardless, thanks for providing an easy intro to this subject.

It's matrix arithmetic, so it is simple. What I found to always be tough was the explanation of what the S-parameters mean physically because so many books and speakers do it terribly. My hope is the video makes the physical explanation easier to understand.

The first video was very helpfull to understand S-parameters, this video is however very confusing, what are ABCD parameters or T parameters, no background is given...

Just how S-Parameters are useful for certain things, like being easily interpretable by humans, there are other parameter sets that model the same system but have other advantages.
One example would be that you can cascade systems just by multiplying the matrices of these parameter sets. And there is nothing more to it I think lol.
