So for me, this is once again a case of "At analog audio frequencies, you pretty much don't have anything to worry about." I've heard of rare cases where telephone calls were accidentally coupled onto adjacent lines, but this was in the Transatlantic trunk.
A plane does not necessarily create crosstalk into a trace. A large plane near a trace will form a current loop with the trace. You can create crosstalk into another current loop. This is because crosstalk is mediated by the electromagnetic field.

Finally the explanation I was looking for!! Complete and concise, giving the physics background, thanks a lot!!
Thank you, glad it helped

awesome content please dont stop making these videos
Really well explained and educational as always. Looking forward to the crosstalk tutorial followups!
Awesome, thank you!
Very helpful as always, thanks Altium and Zach for these videos!
Glad you like them!
Great insight. Thanks for the reference as well!
Glad it was helpful!
How can we calculate the crosstalk between a plane and a trace?

What if it’s a high switching node plane like in switching power supplies?
hello sir, are you giving private courses?
Not yet, this is something I need to finish developing, hopefully ready by next year!
@@Zachariah-Peterson sir can I have your email address I want to ask something which I just couldn't wrap my head around for quite some time now.
