I could see Vlad Jr going to the Yankees and Bichette going to the Dodgers.
Don't know what you're smoking. Vlad hates the Yankees. Said he'd never sign with them.
There’s bad blood between the Yanks and Vladdy Sr/Jr
@@TownianScout
I get that but winning and money tend to change many things in a player's career. I know many a Red Sox and Yankees that have played on both sides, same as I've known many a Dodgers and Giants that have called both home.
A team like the Yankees with a desire to win and willing to spend after you've housed your career for an organization who's done neither. Well that's like all your dreams coming true.
Don't underestimate what's to be had. They're all going to get paid but only so many will win consistently to the highest levels.
@ apples and oranges. What you’re saying isn’t wrong, but the bad blood is beyond stupid and pointless sports rivalries. The Guerreros believe that the organization disrespected them and the family. It’s not about loyalty to a jersey.
this contract will drag the mets down in the years to come. As good as Juan is, Father Time is even better and is undefeated. This will age poorly.
😂the Mets got suckered.
765 million to hit the ball with a bat and run the bases.
He was better as a Yankee. I wouldn't say the Mets won. The Yankees lost the World Series with Soto and are going to learn what a better team they will become spreading that 51 - 55 million AAV between 3 players.
The Mets will live to regret that massive overpay for a 2 tool player that'll be a DH in 5 years.
What’s his 2nd tool lol? Hes a dh.
@Thegeneral284 he has hitting and power as in 40 homerun pop
Who cares abt the money…obviously the Mets don’t …it’s Monopoly money at this point. It doesn’t matter. Owners are willingly throwing this money at players …good for them.
Bryan Buxton to the Mets for Batty, McNeil and a second tier prospect.
LolMets will still pop up. You’ll see.
Mark my words. He isn't worth $300 million
They need pitching
I am so glad the blue jays never signed soto that contract would have crippled them and even not signing him is also very bad because they did not sign vlad and bo 2 yrs. Ago now they probably going going to have give vlad probably 500 million plus if not then trade them both and tear the whole thing down because nobody will want to play for them. Right now the team needs to either sign a big pitcher and bullpen guys and at least 2 bats if they don't they need to fire both Atkins and Shapiro for screwing the teams future.
$800M for a one dimesional player that will eventually become a DH
The Yankees are really are going to be going after Teoscar Hernandez and a lot of other teams.
New York should focus on Bregman, fried and trading for Correa.
@@benjames4502where would jazz go if that happened? Back to outfield?
Even as a diehard Mets fan, my gut says this was WAY overpaid. Ohtani was not really even worth 700 mil and he is 2x better then Soto on every part of the field.... How on earth did Soto, who is a fantastic hitter dont get me wrong but he is about average everywhere else on the field. Has a somewhat strong arm but nothing worth 800 million dollars... he cant even steal a base well. Or pitch.... so how is this Logical really?
Grown men wearing their hat backwards is cringe. Only thing that would make it worse is if you had on a pair of sunglasses.
Bb might now evem be a sport in the next 15 years
Bobby Bonilla 2.0
Lol mets😂. Soto @ age 35 to 42 Mets 25% teams payroll will go to Soto. 😂 they better sell him to fix the farm before it gets out of hand.
The dumbest signing since ohtani. Just destroying the game
😂
Cried himself to sleep after posting this comment 😂
New York tax payers are fucked!🎉
Dodgers fan here : Mets Overpaid lol …reminds me when the Angels signed Albert Pugols . That contract was horrible
Albert was not 26 years old so get it together
@@bxnymSoto is no ohtani . He can’t pitch nor play good defense . If Soto is slow right now at defense at age 26 , imagine how slow he’ll be at age 30 . Good luck to the Mets
@ Soto vs Ohtani…let’s freaking go! LFGM! We will meet again in the playoffs!
@bxnym you have ZERO STARTING PITCHING
@ we have starters we just need to sign some more or trade for more don’t think Mets are done but it’s good to see Dodgers are getting worried that it won’t be a cakewalk for you guys
This only happened because the Mets owner is Loaded! This contract is so huge and massive not even the top most paid athletes in the world aren’t getting that much in a club contract.
blue jays should trade Vladdy before they lose him for nothing, just like the Yankees. Trade him to the METS and get ACUNA, MC NEIL, and another Prospect. METS can just wait till next year and get him for nothing. He wants to be a METS
LOL METS IS ALIVE MORE THAN EVER is a better title.
Overpaid and will still lose to LA 🤣
Another stream
I love the Salty yankee fans😂😂😂
The Blue Jays and Red Sox are on the same level, until they spend some real money on a real player for years quit blowing smoke.
$800 million!?? A career .285 hitter that is horrible at defense. This contract is a joke. The Dodgers have spent over 1.5 billion dollars in FA over the last 4 years and the Mets just said “hold my beer”. These teams are disgusting. Baseball is so broken right now. A team that refuses to give out long term contracts has appeared in 7 ALCS’s, 4 WS appearances and 2 WS wins over the last 8 years. This is their answer to stop that??
Career 421 obp and 950 ops and he’s not even in his prime.
What you said about the Astros has essentially been accomplished by the dodgers too in the same time frame. They have one of the highest payrolls every year. There’s more than one way to win.
I think you should do a short on how the bidding war between the teams involved went, it would be funny lol
Huge win for Orioles! Addition by subtraction.
Ya all hating talking about the money. Check the FWAR and then talk.
Mets won the sweepstakes and YALL salty. LGM.
