These people extract the last ounces of silver from the mines just as they extract every simple joy of life they can from their short time on earth. I send you my love and respect.

This series is so good, Stef is an excellent journalist who makes it so wonderful and engages with the ground reality, unlike many other series' which feel so impersonal

I used to have old coins made from the silver from this mines, I could never imagine how many died for this silver. Some years later I visited the city. I also could never imagine that I would be there.

My grandfather is from potosi, I never knew my father’s family was from Bolivia growing up (he hid it from me). There has been many times where I have felt resentment at my father because how he had parent me, but when I watch videos like this, I feel like I begin to understand his character more, why he might think and act the way he does. I want to laugh and cry at the same time, it’s very strange. I guess things really do pass from generations.

He seems like a sensitive journalist. I hope TRACKS shows his series in full.

I was born in Potosi, Catavi-Siglo XX but I don't know my city because I was taken to La Paz-Bolivia by my mother when I was 3-4 y/o while my father stayed few more years working as a miner. When he joined us in La Paz, soon he died because he contracted TB more than likely because he acquired it while working as a miner.
My message for my countrymen is that God allowed the Spaniards to come with a rudimentary Christian message, now is up to us to search and confirm the truth about that Christian message in the Bible for ourselves. "Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo, que ha dado a su Hijo unigénito, para que todo aquel que en El cree no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna." Juan 3:16

The boy at 10:18, like a "Homer Simpson" hard hat for fun, but this is real. Bolivians are extremely nice people, I know it by experience there.
