    I’m late on buying this, but man this Matches all them tanks, trucks, and halftracks that I’ve built. I’ve only built planes because they were found at very low prices. I have this old ass Black Widow kit, a B17, and A Ju 88 Dragon Kit…all 1/48…I think combined I paid 25 for all of them. 10, 10, and the Black Widow was part of a stack of models/accessories I got for 40. Now, I’ll buy these new, all new options. Loving 1/35 aircraft

    Fantastic job, as usual!
    I saw a BF-109 at the AIr Force Museum (and many, many other warbirds) and was surprised by how small they actually are in real life. I saw them as huge in my imagination but in reality the term "kite" sums it up nicely. Even the F-4 Phantom, which in my mind is huge, wasn't as big as I was expecting.
    Perhaps the camera angle?

    • @georgelush1998
      @georgelush1998 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I too was surprised at how small a BF-109 is. I first saw one at the Tillamook Air Museum in Oregon. The museum is housed in a WW II Navy blimp hanger, so not only are the planes interesting, the building itself is pretty spectacular.

    Gonna start my own version of the 1/350 Ranger you built a few years ago. While I might attempt the complex dazzle paint scheme, I just would substitute dark sea blue for deck blue, which is pretty hard to find. Or I might go with a simple haze gray pre-war scheme with a natural flight deck. Or even another of Ranger's wartime schemes of flat sea blue and haze gray.

Woukd like to see more of those as I have transitioned to building a lot of aircraft models gear-up. Most planes just look better in their natural element... Now for some new and innovative stands for model aircraft displayed with gear up. =)

    Border surely has to improve the way they work the details out... They have nice kits, but they fall behind on those little details they keep forgetting.
    I've bought the T-34/76 Special Edition after I have watched your video about it, and it has some issues they could have easily solved.
    For instance, they have included an instructions correction sheet - which means they are indeed worried about doing things the correct way - but even the correction sheet is wrong! To give an example, they show that two out of eight turret armor supports have to be changed in position, but actually six out of the eight are misplaced, and even the two they have indicated to be replaced are in the wrong position on both the original intructions AND on the correction sheet!
    Not to mention their poor understanding of what "full turret interior" really means... They could have used the time spent on getting such intrincate but useless cannon assembly much better if they had worked more on the fitting and alignment of the cannon...
    That is specially annoying considering the fact that, in general, the fit is pretty good.
    Anyway, waiting to see the remaining of your building before deciding to go for it on not.
    Cheers from Brazil!

    Has anyone ever figured out where the heck the 30mm engine block Cannon ejected from? ... there are usually holes on the wings for ejection ports. But like.. with the German planes I never see ejection ports for the nose guns. No way they just build up in the engine bay

    • @travis_thompson
      @travis_thompson 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4
