Pete's voice (technically) has never been better than it is now. Live and Studio, never ceases to amaze me at his age to still be improving is amazing.
Indeed but that very 'pure' voice of his is something I never get to hear from other albums though it's still extremely good. He sings with higher pitch now, something I'm not so into but got used to it, combining with the riffs and everything, absolute masterpiece..
I think Pete sounded the best on Sci Fi Crimes. I think it was the mastering on that album but its a perfect blend of "organic" sounding and technical. You can hear the raspiness in his voice and I love it
Personally, my album of the year so far. I hadn’t heard of Chevelle until “Peach” was recommended by Amazon music algorithm a few months ago and I was instantly hooked. I was intrigued by the album cover and after listening to a couple more tracks decided to get the physical copy of the album which arrived a month ago. From the first track Chevelle take you on a journey you just don’t want to end and one day I will be happy to reminisce that this music was a part of my soundtrack of life in that particular point of my life journey. I have been just mesmerised by this album and I’m glad you have chosen this particular track on your countdown to your 1st anniversary. Side note: 200k subscribers! 😱 I’ve been following you since the first “Sober” reaction and couldn’t be more chuffed for you 😎
Very similar to my story... Love this record - came from a recommendation... Never heard of them before. They've been around for years, so I hope this helps them find new audiences.
This Type of Thinking and Wonder What’s Next are my two fav albums from them. WWN being heavier and hard rock, while TToT is more experimental and alternative.
They cancelled the November shows when I was gonna see them, I'm devastated since I haven't seen them in soooo long. Hope they tour close by again soon.
As soon as I saw the title I was SO HAPPY you picked this one from Chevelle! Definitely a great song from a great album. These guys are always awesome and I'm a HUGE fan of their new stuff along with all their older music. The guitar work here is amazing!
I've been spending a few hours learning this song on guitar today. Gotta say that Pete really love hammer-ons and pull-offs on NIRATIAS! Killer track from a killer record!
Chevelle is up there with Tool as one of the greatest bands . I can listen to them all day at work without getting tired of them and if I let the "Al Gore/No Rhythm" start choosing songs for me , it ends up being a great mix of Chevelle, Tool, Evans Blue , Breaking Benjamin, Muse , etc.. Great stuff!! Please revisit Jason Richardson before your 1 yr .. I know I'm about the only one requesting this guy , but I know you've seen me working hard in almost every video.... Jason Richardson and Luke Holland(Ft. Rick Graham) - Ho's Down ....oh and have the video so you can see it even if you don't show it in the reaction. Jason's guitar work is amazing and should at least be glanced at a couple times...oh and the changes in the song also have a couple visual changes in the video. Thanks for all you do Geebz. Because of you, I listen to music at a deeper level and am able re-enjoy songs I've heard many times, in a new light!! Keep going, we'll be here for the ride!! Awwwright!!!
2 days into the countdown, and you already got back to Chevelle!? Fantastic one, Geebz! Always gotta shout out _An Island_ off of La Gargola from them. One of my favorite riffs from them, and my favorite album, hands down. I tend to compare Chevelle to Deftones myself, just based on how many albums I have from them in my collection and when I got the majority of them (around the same time, I mean.) Would love for you to get to some songs from _Koi No Yokan_ from Deftones. If you don't get to any for the channel, you HAVE to pick up the album yourself, or stream it. Each song is masterfully engineered, and the album as a whole has a softer tone compared to their earlier stuff. My favorite song is _Entombed,_ but the singles _Tempest,_ _Rosemary,_ and _Swerve City_ are fantastic, too. A nice break in the history of the band in my eyes! Thanks man, and keep on rockin'! Awwwright!
Oh boy! I love that you did a song off this album, I’ve been practically glued to this album since I’ve heard it! Chevelle I honestly an underrated band. Just wanted to tell you the fun fact that the producer on this album worked with Tool and other great bands, but this whole album is (in my opinion) Muse mixed with Tool with that Chevelle sound to stick it together. Anyways if you want to check out another song form this album I recommend Ghost and Razor it really sounds like a Tool song. Keep up the amazing work you put out. Aloha!
I'm late to the Chevelle party. Discovered them after moving from an area that didn't play them to one that did. I kinda dig it. Worst part is...a few years ago they opened for Disturbed in Vegas. I went to that show and was outside having dinner while Chevelle was on. I regret that now....
