I believe it will be difficult to get in that range. It will be best to connect with the students in the bay area they will be able to help you out with the cost

It would depend 1. If your job requires you to commute and you dont have a car then find a place near caltrain station/bart. 2. SF city can be expensive and bit congested if you are ok with that then it has many nice places 3. Go for places like san jose, santa clara, fremont if you are ok with commute and looking for indian food and people arround with parks and better space in terms of housing.

Hello there, thank you for this video. Basically, I am from Mumbai, India. I am applying to Northeastern University for Masters's in IT Project Management. NEU's main campus is in Boston. However, I cannot survive in cold regions. Therefore, I am going to choose another campus that is in Silicon Valley. I am going to study on loan. I looked up a plethora of universities for project management especially in warm regions but, unfortunately, no luck. As you mentioned at the beginning of this video that living in Bay Area is expensive! Are there any nearby affordable areas to live in? I can take public transport for the classes. Please enlighten me.
ofcourse you can take public transport, students get concession. See living in the bay is definitely expensive but then there are pockets where you can live in sharing and cost can come down drastically. Having said that , try for a part time job that can help to pay off some expenses. Try to connect with students who can help you. There is no dearth of jobs even after covid in the US . You need to just do a little homeowrk

Public transport is good and safe ?? Or it is important to know driving??
Absolutely safe . At light night homeless people usually takes the public transport which can be a bit unsafe. If you live in the bay area then learning to drive might not be necessary but still convenient to do your daily chores

why there are no high rise building in san francisco when apartment are so costly. it can easily drive down the cost
There are high rise buildings in SF. Compare it to gurgaon. Even if there are high rise apartments, they are still costly. The cost of living is a big issue and for that reason the locals have infact moved away from SF city

both have its pros and cons
If you come here as a student and do your masters from good college then it helps you to get visa and good salary (not smoothly though), its easier to make friends while in college and even in office. You know already how to mingle with people and stuff
If you come after getting a job and if come as a manager then its easier to get GC. But then it depends on the kind of profile you are joining for and stuff.

Hey, prosperity brought diverse ethnic groups into the shores of california...starting with Gold Rush in 19th century. As people came from different regions of the world - they brought their food, culture and lifestyle !!! There are so many Indian grocery and eateries in Bay Area, because there is demand !!!! Similarly Chinese food, Vietanamese food, Korean BBQ, Japanese, Italian, Mexican beans and burito... what not !! Truly diverse... By the way, I searched Shagun Indian Resturant, San Jose and your video pop up.... You look famaliar too. Do you guys own Shagun ?

1bhk home or Apartment ?? If you live in bay area and renting alone then you need at least 2200 dollars just for rent... 300-400 dollars for groceries and 200 something for other utilities.. 6k dollars is on an average needed permonth to live a decent life style if you are living alone

@@bhagawatigrg8915 there are lot of jobs but then it depends.. log grocery shop main kam krte hain, gas station main, restaurants main etc they pay i guess 15-20$ per hour.. You can be more smart and do online freelancing as well.

Don't universities in India offer degrees in business analytics? And why would you go to what is literally the worst school in the entire Bay Area ? Everyone knows that campus is a joke - Cal State Hayward (its original name) has always been looked down upon as a dreary and ugly commuter school that offers a degree but no rigor and no reputation (except as the worst campus, with students who simply couldn't get in anywhere else).

hahhahaha....15 saal ki umar main hi you are clear about your future.. Thats a good thing. There are lot of things that you can study. UX and Design thinking is in big demand. The field of HCI i.e Human computer interaction is huge in US. Start searching for it there are not many colleges that offer this course. Study their criteria and then apply accordingly

Absolutely true! I have infact heard the horror stories of drugs usage/snatching etc by them. Its always advised not to visit such pockets alone particularly at night.. I have heard the same about oakland and many pockets in SF bay area. Thankfully we live in a safe place. However due to pandamic and people going jobless there has been growing instances of theft in malls and house ...:(

Coastal areas are progressive and safe . However rural American can be bit unsafe for non-whites.
Areas like San Francisco, New York, chicago etc have mixed ethnicity and very safe.
Gun violence is definitely an issue and you cant really do anything about it

Hi. I’m currently 14 years old, and my life goal is moving to SF. Right now i live in Denmark. (Born and raised) And i literally hate it here! I just kinda fell in love with SF and it’s beauty. Knowing my parents, they probs would never let me move there unless i’m married. (i’m muslim btw) any tips on this?
there are a lot of things i will ask you to think and research about
1. Why do you want to move there? job/education etc
2. If you want tos study there then ist decide on the field.
3. study is expensive so try for scholarship as you have many years before you move
4. SF is pretty liberal but highly highly expensive so make sure you have resources

I just don't understand why you wouldn't rather live in a Muslim-majority nation if that religious identity is so prominent in your life - there are like 57 of them, more than 25% of the world's nations. Why would you want to go from one secular or Christian nation, which you say you happen to hate, to another one? It just doesn't really make much sense.
SF *really* sucks btw. It's dirty, dangerous, and expensive. It is definitely a downgrade on "quality of life" from anywhere in Denmark. Danish society, thanks to 1000 years of civilizing Christian influence and control, is a mostly peaceful environment that is generally highly law-abiding, orderly, prosperous, and clean, with an egalitarian economic structure. The US, and particularly our large cities, are thee exact opposite. But if you prefer to live in chaos/disorder, constant conflict, and filth and degeneracy, then SF or any city controlled by "progressive" Democrats will meet your requirements.
How do you feel about open defecation and drug use or the city-wide promotion of deviant sexual practices that are frowned upon by your religion? If you see homosexuality being promoted, conducted, and celebrated openly, are you going to be "okay" with that, or is that the kind of insult to your religious convictions that you'll find distressing or repulsive? Would you want to be able to freely express any negative opinions that you might have about that sort of thing? Because if you did, let me just save you the possibility of being attacked and killed for having the "wrong" view - you won't be able to safely, peacefully, do that. Do you understand that if you come to SF, you will not enjoy the protections of the Constitution of the United States or the freedoms that are assumed in any functional democracy? You will not have the Rule of Law, nor the freedom of expression.
These are true quality of life issues you need to know about. You're only 14, so perhaps you're simply entranced by the physical appearance of the place - it can take on a somewhat "romantic" or "postcard perfect" aspect, but just know that is just superficial. The reality is gritty - and dysfunctional.

I have a friend who moved out of the Bay Area to settle in Denmark. Grass looks greener on the other side. Prioritize what is important in life, be willing to compromise a little and you will find the right place to live. Even Switzerland may not be the right place for some. Wish you the best to achieve what you want to be where you want to be.

well yes there are plenty of pockets here and there where it may happen so you deliberately avoid goin there. However it is safe otherwise if you take precautions (like any other country)
