@KTMBOY1112 This is in Australia mate. He's got full registration and probably riding in a state forest, which means he's entitled by law to have the road-going equipment haha ;)
I'm just getting into monster climbs there are some huge ones out here in pa especially in the coal regions and crazy steep too. I always wonder is it risky to down shift on a really big steep climb while in mid climb? I usually try and stay in first or second depending on how much speed I can carry. I ask bc some of these hills are so gnarly that there is no room for error one fuck up and your bike or in my case quad is trashed.
yep good tips " on another note where you get those barkbuster hand guards from i've been trying to track them down for ages with no luck? nsw? shop name?
@SoCalledFreeman Those are trial bikes, only on bikes that your going to ride on the street youll need those, but if your jus going to do trial riding theres no need for them.
I feel like different videos are giving me different tips. It seems the elbows are lower than everyone else says they need to be. But then again maybe I've got no idea what I'm doing off-road. I'M SO CONFUSED.
Probably because there are not a lot of common rules to this stuff because every hill is different. However, this guy is spot on for most standard trail hills you will encounter. You can't go wrong following this guys advice Listen, learn and apply it every time you ride and you'll improve with every hill.
Everybodys' got to be a stand up rider.... Transfer your weight where you need traction. Rod Lay hit all the marks in this video. We'll be passing you up the hill sitting on our arse's.
no, its important to laugh at your mates first, before you help them..
Bloody Good tips & Advice guys .....keep them comin

Thanks, very useful as I'm new to this, some great pointers there.
Great tips,great video,thanks a lot.
Great info for a newbie like me. Thanks.
Great video. Thanks!
Good video. Especially for beginners. The smaller hills were probably used in this video so less advanced riders don't get intimidated.
that clutch tecnic to gain power works, but dont do it too much or you ll have a wrecked clutch
BS! Dirt Bikes are wet clutches for the whole purpose of being able to slip them and use them this way.
well done good clip 4 people new 2 dirtbikes & rideing hills &bush tracks
Keep it lit !
Tip number one for making a "tip" video about hill climbs....have some flipping hills! Didn't see one

Lol on real hills standing is much better, you could drive a truck up this "hill"
where abouts is he riding?
Thought that standing was the proper technique for hill? Have to try this.
I dont get it. Where was the hill?
I drive on track that has like 75 degree rock hill that is like 15 meters high and its slippery all time:/
It's in heez mind mate! LOL!
geez this guy just sounds like a copper
I'm a noob but what does it mean to slip the clutch
pull the cluch in a little bit, hit the gas some more, and then let the cluch out
If your on a four stroke you don't really want to slip the clutch that often it's better to just downshift and use the bikes torque
hills? i was misled
Just fucken send it
why is a local copper doing this???
Umm this technique only applies to 4 strokes... You cant climb a hill like this on a 2 stroke, and where is the hill in this video?
try comin to pa to trevton then you will see a real hill climb
Stay sitting? What the fuck
he's a cop?
a cop lets go anna
copper doggggggggggggggg
there was literally no steep hill in this.
Bullshit
No such thing as momentum going up hill, stay sitting down, go slow
Every video of the rider he is standing... what shit instruction
he doesnt have a clue what he is on about haha
