I completely agree with her about reality shows. Put a camera in your face and you are NOT acting like yourself at all. It is all directed and edited. I always believed that.
I blame inflation and more women going into the workplace (just because it has become too expensive for households to survive with just one income), as well as OJ Simpson. Although there were Cops and The Real World, OJ Simpson's trial started the reality TV engine.

Yeah. God forbid anyone ever brings up that feud I’d love to know all about. I get the feeling Susan was probably very jealous of Sarah’s huge popularity and Emmy win after being on the show what? A year or two? And she probably treated her like crap on the set.
@@frankpetersen6624 Not true. The rumor was started by Gellar’s mother in an effort to further her career. They didn’t have a great working relationship, but jealousy had nothing to do with it. Several people who worked on set at the time have said that Gellar was a total diva, and difficult to work with. I’ve heard that from other sets she’s worked on, as well.
@@whitneydavis7443 I don't know that I believe that SMG was a diva on set. She came on the show as a 16 year old. She wasn't a star. By the time she won the Emmy she was already leaving the show. It unlikely she would have behaved that way toward Susan who was the star of the show and the rest of the cast. She was close friends with Eva Larue, Kelly Ripa and Sydney Penny so she could not have been awful.

Susan always speaks very carefully not to hurt anyone with such grace and respect. Joy just doesn’t care and she’s always been a big mouth.

Bottom line: Soaps are nothing but a lot of trash = a waste of time to watch - as is 99.99% of what is aired on television these days.
These days, yes. But in their heyday...80's and 90's....some of them were really great. Today.ugh...I don't watch any of them.
